Interchangeable SPS™(Soft Part System)
A removable assembly containing the cone, spider, surround, and voice
coil allows the user to add subwoofers while maintaining optimum
overall impedance and full amplifier power. SPS™also makes it possible
to replace a damaged voice coil on-site.
Single or dual 4-ohm voice coil versions
G5 subwoofers are available in both single 4-ohm or dual 4-ohm versions,
allowing the user to optimize the impedance load to the amplifier, regardless
of the number of subwoofers used in the system.
4 models:
G512-44 12-inch dual 4-ohm (2- or 8-ohm)
G512-4 12-inch single 4-ohm
G510-44 10-inch dual 4-ohm (2- or 8-ohm)
G510-4 10-inch single 4-ohm
Compatible with GTR TunableRadiator™
Installing just like a subwoofer, the GTR increases bass output
without added enclosure volume (requires sealed enclosure
volume), also features adjustable tuning.
(see GTR section for more information on the GTR TunableRadiator™)
Key System Benefits
• SPS™(Soft Part System) technology
allows end users to change
the subwoofer’s impedance or to
rebuild a subwoofer
• 3-inches of peak-to-peak
excursion for exceptionally deep,
accurate bass
• 2 3⁄4-inch 4-layer voice coil for
extraordinary power handling
• RadialVent®cooling, for increased
power handling
• SureSet™impedance selection
and overdrive protection system
• Can be field-stripped and custom
painted, powder-coated, or plated
Key Installation Benefits
• Optimized for small, sealed
enclosures–only 1.0ft.3is required
for the 12-inch, and 0.5ft.3for the
10-inch
•Integral sealing gaskets
simplify both standard and inverted
mounting
•Compatible with GTR
TunableRadiator™, for increased
bass output without added
enclosure volume
High Performance Subwoofers
Designed to dominate small enclosures like no other subwoofer can, Boston G5 pounds
out plenty of devastatingly accurate, remarkably deep bass. Add in stunning design,
steadfast reliability, and remarkably easy installation and you’ve got a subwoofer that
demands a new level of respect—even from the most seasoned enthusiast.
SureSet™
Using standard ATC fuses, the SureSet™system allows for
simple impedance selection (dual 4-ohm only) as well as momentary
overdrive protection.
Rugged input terminals
Spring loaded input terminals accept bare 8-gauge wire or pin connectors.
Shorting Ring
G5 subwoofers utilize shorting ring technology that reduces distortion,
and increases output and power handling.
Patented RadialVent®cooling
Integrated vents and the woofer’s own pistonic action re-circulate fresh cooling
air around the woofer voice coil. As a result it can handle more power.
23⁄4-inch voice coil
The G5 uses an oversized 2 3⁄4-inch four-layer voice coil for extraordinary power
handling.
