Coupling

Please read this operation manual carefully and file for future reference.

•When operating the product always consider the safety of the patient.
• The product is designed only for clinical dental use by qualified personnel.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the product or tamper with the mechanism unless
replacing the bulb (NL10Ti).
• Do not wipe with, clean or immerse in high acid water or sterilizing solutions.
• Do not allow any impact on to the product. Do not drop the product.
• Do not connect or disconnect the hose or handpiece until the device
has completely stopped.
• Refer to the operation manual of the hose and handpiece for connection instructions.
• Do not attempt hydrothermal cleaning or rinse the device in water.
It may cause malfunction or electric shock.
• Ensure clean, dry air supply. Moisture and debris in air supply may cause the
device to malfunction.

1. Specifications
Bulb Glass Rod Non Optic

• Utilizes a Non-Retraction Valve to prevent the water back flow into
the delivery unit.

2) Disconnecting
1) Pull back the connector ring and gently remove the handpiece from the coupling.
2) Loosen the hose nut and gently pull out the hose.

1) Connecting
To connect, align and insert carefully and firmly the pin of the coupling into the pin holes
of the hose, and fasten the hose nut securely. (Fig.1)
3. Setting
Handpiece

Ensure the handpiece is attached tightly and properly to the coupling.
DO NOT pull the connector ring while air is supplied.
If the Connector Ring is pulled during air pressure supply, handpiece may fly off.
Caution

1) Connecting
To connect, align and insert carefully and firmly the pin of the Coupling cap into the pin holes of
the coupling, and turn the ring until you hear the noise “Click”.

2) Using the Coupling Cap
Dust Cover
When removing the handpiece from the coupling for sterilization of the handpiece, the
inside of the coupling can be exposed to various germs. Use the cap to prevent dust
and debris from entering into the coupling

Use Wrench to help remove the coupling from the hose.

1) Use the coupling cap to remove the coupling from the tubing.
2) While holding the coupling cap, rotate the coupling cap in the direction of the arrow to
loosen. (Fig. 5)
3) Remove the old light bulb from the housing. Align and insert the connector of the new
replacement bulb into the housing securely.
4) While holding the coupling cap, rotate the coupling cap in the opposite direction of the
arrow to tighten.
*Replacement Bulb Set : Order No. 5010051U0 (Set consist of 3 pieces)
5. Replacing the Light Bulb (NL10Ti Coupling Only)

DO NOT touch the glass section of the new bulb

6. Sterilization
Autoclave Procedure
1) Scrub dirt and debris from the handpiece, and wipe clean with alcohol-immersed
cotton swab or cloth. Do not use a wire brush.
2) Insert into an autoclave pouch. Seal the pouch.
3) Autoclavable up to a max. 275°F (135°C). ex.) Autoclave for 20 min. at 250°F (121°C)
or 15 min. at 270°F (132°C).
4) Keep the handpiece in the autoclave pouch to keep it clean until you use it.

Caution
• Do not heat or cool the handpiece quickly. Rapid change in temperature
could break the cellular glass rod and give abnormal strain to other metals.
• Do not wash, soak, or wipe off the handpiece with/in the oxidation potential
solution (strong acid, superacid solution) or sterilized solution.

Warranty
Brasseler USA warrants the coupling against defects in manufacturing,
workmanship and materials. Brasseler USA reserves the right to analyze and
determine the cause of any problem. Warranty is voided should the coupling
not be used in accordance with this manual.
