CONNECTIONS POWER BAR
The Connections PowerBar™Raceway provides the
ultimate solution for access and organization of
power and data cables. Whether your Connections
table is brand new or already installed, PowerBar
easily mounts to the back of any rectangular
Connections work center. Constructed of steel and
finished in grey powder paint.

SUGGESTED SPECIFICATIONS
PowerBar is constructed from 20 gauge steel and is finished in Grey
Mist (-GM) powder paint. PowerBar mounts to the back of all 42",
48", 60" and 72" wide Connections Work Centers, 42", 48" and 72"
wide Connections XTC Work Centers, and 24" wide Connections
Table Top Bridges. PowerBar will not work on other Connections
tables. A flush-mounted access door creates easy top-down access
to all cables and adds 6" to the overall table depth. Holes in the back
of the raceway allow cords to pass easily on to the table top.
PowerBar attaches to table top using steel bolts threaded into steel
inserts. When installed, the PowerBar spans the complete width of
the table, hiding the power and data cables that pass between tables.
The Wire Chase brings the wires from the floor to the raceway safely
and securely. The Data Plate will accommodate two data jacks. End
caps close the raceway at the end of a run of tables. Constructed
with “prime” steel which has a 25% to 35% post-consumer recycled
content and GREENGUARD INDOOR AIR QUALITY CERTIFIED®.

All Connections series tables are made at one of Bretford’s Chicago
area manufacturing facilities using union labor.
POWERBAR ELECTRICAL CAPABILITIES
PowerBar can be equipped with three integrated electrical solutions:
Hardwire System—8-wire, 4-circuit system with quick-disconnect
components allows easy table-to-table linking of electrical system.
The ultimate solution for large runs of tables with power use that
requires multiple circuits. The Bretford hardwire system is a great
alternative to mounting your cabling to the wall or permanently to
the tables. Hardwired systems require the installation from a qualified
electrician and are subject to local electrical building codes. Standard
hardwire components listed below, additional components available.

Softwire—4-outlet surge protected power strip with on/off switch
and a 20' grounded power cord. An excellent solution for a group of
tables with smaller power requirements. Because the CFPS requires
one outlet for each access door, this is an ideal option for
installations with multiple power sources.

PowerHouse—Table-top power and data unit with a 20' power cord.
This surface mounted power and data unit locks into the grommet
hole to provide power and data above the work surface. Each
PowerHouse comes with a duplex electrical outlet, data plates which
can accommodate two RJ-45 data jacks, and a grounded electrical
cord (120 volt). UL listed.

POWERBAR COMMUNICATION CAPABILITIES
Each PowerBar features one channel for data cables and one for
power cables. This isolation will help eliminate any electromagnetic
interference between power and data cables. The separation of
power and data cables serves three important functions:
1) PowerBar reduces the chances of electromagnetic
interference
2) PowerBar provides easy wire installation, access and
maintenance
3) PowerBar meets category 5 performance requirements.
