Important Safety Information
Read this User Manual in Entirety Before Use
This User Manual contains important safety,and operation information for
the BrightDrop Trace.
It is not intended as a comprehensive use, service, repair, or maintenance
manual, or as a substitute for operator training.
Keep this manual for future reference. It should accompany the device if it
is ever transferred or sold

Safety Messages
To prevent property damage, serious injury,or death:
DO NOT operate the Trace unless you are trained and authorized by your employer.
Read all safety warnings and instructions before using the Trace. DO NOTremove any labels from the
Trace.
Do not operate when you are tired, after consuming alcohol, or when taking medication that causes
drowsiness.
DO NOT carry passengers on or in the Trace.
When driving, braking, or slowing, ensure that you maintain a firm grip on the handlebar untilthe
trace comes to a complete stop
The Trace should be loaded, transported, and used in accordance with approved BrightDrop products
and services. Any other loading, transport, or use of the Trace is at your own risk and liability.
Never modify your Trace in any way. Do notsand, drill, file,or remove parts from your Trace. Do not
install incompatible components or hardware.
PINCH POINTHazard. Keep fingers, hair, clothing (including shoelaces), jewelry, and other objects
away from wheels and other moving components.
Please follow Federal Motor Carrier SafetyAdministration (FMSCA) guidance for cargo securement
and refer to relevant industry associations(e.g.,Web Sling & Tie Down Association).
Traces should be secured with a restraining system capable of handling at least 2,415kg (5,325 lb) of
peak force. If using ratchet straps, ensure they can withstand at least 2,415 kg (5,325 lb) break
strength or 805 kg (1,775 lb) Working Load Limit (WLL) individuallyor in combination. The U.S.
Department of Transportation (DOT)and Web Sling Association require tie-down manufacturers to
attach a tag to the strap with the safeWLL. For guidance follow DOT guidelines for cargo securement
and refer to relevant industry associations(e.g.,Web Sling & Tie Down Association).
When transporting aTrace:
oEngage the caster wheel locks.
