STEP3: SETTING THE MOTION SENSOR CONTROLS
SETTING UP OR MAKING ADJUSTMENTS TO THE MOTION SENSOR
1. Turn the power OFF to the oodlight.
2. Aim the motion sensor to the approximate center of the desired detection range. Caution: Do not aim the sensor above the horizon as direct sunlight may damage the sensor.
3. Turn the "TIME"(duration) dial counterclockwise until the dial stops.
4. Turn the "SENS"(sensitivity) dial to the full clockwise rotation.
5. Turn power ON to the oodlight.
6. Set the range and sensitivity of the motion sensor.
a. Have a person move around at the furthest distance of the desired detection area (maximum range is 35’ or 10m).
b. If the "SENS"dial is at the maximum clockwise rotation and the light still has not turned on, it may be necessary to re-aim the motion sensor or the desired detection area may be too great.
c. When the lights do turn ON, have the person stand still until the lights turn OFF. Once the lights are OFF, have the person move conrm the settings.
d. To reduce false triggering due to small animals or large plants in the vicinity, turn the "SENS"dial counterclockwise to decrease the sensitivity.
7. Turn the "TIME"dial clockwise to increase the time the light stays ON (up to 8 minutes) after motion is detected. NOTE: When making this adjustment during the day, once you have turned the TIME dial from
the full counterclockwise position, the light will remain on for the set duration and then turn OFF. Once the light is OFF, it will not turn ON again until motion is detected at night. To adjust the TIME duration during
the day…
a. Turn the "TIME"dial to the full counterclockwise position and pass your hand in front of the motion sensor to activate the light.
b. Once the light is ON, turn the "TIME"dial to set the time duration and note how long the light remains ON.
c. Repeat the above two steps until the desired time duration is achieved.
MANUAL OVERRIDE FEATURE
If the security oodlight is connected to an outlet controlled by a wall switch, the Manual Override Feature is available. The Manual Override Feature allows the unit to be turned ON or OFF manually during the
night, bypassing the motion sensor.
MANUAL OPERATION
To manually turn the oodlight ON, turn the wall switch OFF and then ON again immediately within 2 seconds. The oodlights will turn ON and remain ON until the wall switch is turned OFF. If the wall switch was
previously turned OFF for a period of time, turn the wall switch ON for at least 5 seconds, and then use the OFF- ON procedure above to turn the oodlight ON manually. To manually turn the oodlight OFF, simply
turn the wall switch OFF. The unit will not activate as long as the wall switch is in the OFF position.
RESETTING TO AUTOMATIC OPERATION
To return the security oodlight to automatic operation, turn the wall switch OFF for at least 5 seconds and then turn the switch back ON. The security oodlight will come ON for the time duration set, and then
turn OFF. The oodlight will now activate according to the settings on the motion sensor. Leave the wall switch in the ON position to operate the oodlight in automatic mode.
STEP2: MOTION SENSOR CONTROLS

ELECTRICIAN WHO CAN ASSURE THAT THIS INSTALLATION MEETS LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL CODES.
• BE SURE POWER IS TURNED OFF AT THE MAIN POWER PANEL OR FUSE BOX BEFORE INSTALLING OR REPLACING THE FIXTURE.
• Before installing this xture, be sure to check with local ordinances regarding approved outdoor lighting. This xture style may not be allowed in
some areas.
• This xture is for outdoor use only.
• The electrical system and the method of connecting the xture to the system must be in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
• This xture is to be connected to a 120 Volts, 60 Hz power source. Connecting to a different power source may create a hazard and will void the
warranty.
• This xture should be mounted to a grounded junction box marked for use in wet locations.
• Do not use near or around ammable/combustible material or liquids.
• Do not attempt to open the motion sensor housing. There are no serviceable parts inside.
• Lowest xture operating temperature is -20º C. Performance may be affected by temperature.

TROUBLESHOOTING
SYMPTOM
Does not function at all.
Floodlight cycles ON and OFF.
Floodlight is continuously ON.
REMEDY
Make sure wall switch (if installed), is ON. Check that the circuit breaker, fuse and main circuit breaker or main power switch are on. Be sure sensor head is pointed downward towards the target area.
Redirect security oodlight away from heat sources such as a street, active sidewalk, barbecue grill, etc. Direct oodlight in a slightly different direction than sensor.
Turn SENS (Sensor sensitivity) control more counterclockwise.
Turn wall switch OFF for at least 5 seconds and then turn switch to ON again. This will reset the xture to normal (automatic) operations.
If there is no wall switch, set circuit breaker OFF for at least 5 seconds and then turn circuit breaker ON again.
INSTALLING YOUR NEW SECURITY FLOODLIGHT.
STEP1:
THIS PRODUCT MUST BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE INSTALLATION CODE BY A PERSON FAMILIAR WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF THE
PRODUCT AND THE HAZARDS INVOLVED.
TURN OFF THE POWER AT FUSE/BREAKER BOX.
Remove old lighting xture.If installing at a new location,contact qualied electrician.
For optimal performance, xture should be mounted on a wall at least 8 feet above ground.
Attach Swivel Mounting Bracket (D) to a
grounded junction box marked for use in
wet locations using 2 Mounting Screws (A).
Secure lighting xture to the Swivel Mounting
Bracket (D) using the Mounting Screws (A).
Apply a weatherproof silicone caulk or sealant
around the xture base for a rain-tight seal.
Position lamp holders downward at a minimum
45º and away from xture housing a minimum of
2 inches. Aim the motion sensor at the center of
the desired detection area.
Place round Rubber Gasket (C) onto the backside of the
xture base plate. Connect wires using twist-on wire
connectors (B). Connect black xture lead to black supply
lead from junction box. Connect white xture lead to white
(black and white) lead from the junction box Connect green
ground (GND) wires to all green or bare house wires.

Observe the two controls on the bottom of the sensor, the SENS (sensitivity) control and the TIME (duration) control.
• SENS (sensitivity) - Set the sensitivity of the motion sensor. Turn the dial clockwise to increase the sensitivity (maximum range
is 35’ or 10m). Turn the dial counterclockwise to decrease the sensitivity. The sensitivity should be set at maximum, however,
the sensitivity may need to be set lower to avoid false triggering. - FIGURE 1
• TIME (duration) - Sets how long the light will stay on after motion is detected (between 5 seconds to 8 minutes). Turn dial
counterclockwise to decrease the time duration. Turn clockwise to increase the time duration. - FIGURE 2
NOTE: Turning the dial to the full counterclockwise position will deactivate the photocell. This will allow the motion sensor to active
during the day.

LOCALIZACIÓN DE AVERÍAS
SÍNTOMA
No funciona.
La lámpara con reectores cicla de encendido
(en "ON") a apagado (en "OFF").
La lámpara con reectores permanece
encendida (en "ON") todo el tiempo.
REMEDIO
Asegúrese que el interruptor de pared (si se tiene instalado) está en la posición de encendido (en "ON"). Verique que el disyuntor de circuito o el interruptor principal de alimentación están conectados.
Asegúrese que el cabezal del detector está apuntando hacia abajo hacia el área de detección deseada.
Cambie la dirección de la lámpara con reector para alejarla de las fuentes de calor tales como la calle, una acera activa, un asador de carnes, etc. Dirija los reectores en una dirección algo diferente de
la dirección del detector. Gire el control de GAMA o "SENS" (sensibilidad del detector) más en dirección opuesta a las manecillas del reloj.
Coloque el interruptor de pared en apagado (en "OFF") durante cuando menos cinco (5) segundos y luego vuelva a colocarlo en encendido (en "ON"). Esto restaurará el dispositivo a funcionamiento normal
(automático). Si no se tiene un interruptor de pared, desconecte el disyuntor de circuito (en "OFF") durante cuando menos cinco (5) segundos y luego vuelva a conectar el disyuntor de circuito (en "ON").

• SENS (sensibilidad) - Fija la sensibilidad del Detector de movimiento. Gire el dial en el sentido de las manecillas del reloj para incrementar la sensibilidad (la
gama máxima es de 10 m (esto es, 35 pies)). Gire el dial en el sentido opuesto a las manecillas del reloj para reducir la sensibilidad. La sensibilidad debe ser
puesta en el ajuste máximo, sin embargo, puede ser necesario ajustar la sensibilidad a un nivel más bajo para evitar los disparos falsos. – FIGURA 1
• TIME (TIEMPO –Duración) - Fija el tiempo que la lámpara permanecerá encendida después de haber detectado un movimiento (de 5 segundos a 8 minutos).

NOTA: Se desactivará totalmente la fotocelda al girar el dial totalmente en el sentido opuesto a las manecillas del reloj. Esto permitirá que el detector de
movimiento permanezca activo durante el día.
Observe los dos controles en la parte posterior del detector. El control de sensibilidad (SENS) está situado en la parte inferior izquierda. El control de duración o
tiempo (TIME) se encuentra en la parte inferior derecha.
PASO 3: CÓMO FIJAR LOS CONTROLES DEL DETECTOR DE MOVIMIENTO
CÓMO ESTABLECER O HACER AJUSTES AL FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL DETECTOR DE MOVIMIENTO
1. Desconecte la alimentación eléctrica (en "OFF") a la lámpara con reectores.
2. Apunte el detector de movimiento al centro aproximado de la gama deseada de detección. Precaución: No apunte el detector por arriba del horizonte ya que la luz solar directa puede causarle daños a los circuitos del detector.
3. Gire el dial de TIEMPO (duración) en el sentido opuesto a las manecillas del reloj hasta que el dial se detenga.
4. Gire el dial de "SENS"(de sensibilidad) a la posición girada totalmente en sentido de las manecillas del reloj.
5. Vuelva a conectar la alimentación eléctrica (en "ON") de la lámpara con reectores.
6. Ajuste la gama y sensibilidad del detector de movimiento.
a. Haga que una persona se mueva alrededor de la mayor distancia dentro del área de detección deseada (La gama máxima es de 10 metros (35 pies)).
b. Si el dial de "SENS"esta colocado en el giro máximo en el sentido de las manecillas del reloj, y la lámpara aún no se ha encendido, podrá ser necesario volver a apuntar el detector de movimiento, o la zona de detección
deseada podrá estar situada muy lejos.
c. Cuando los reectores se enciendan (en "ON"), haga que la persona permanezca parada sin desplazarse hasta que los reectores se apaguen (en "OFF"). Una vez que los reectores se hayan apagado, ordene que la persona
se desplace para conrmar los ajustes.
d. Para reducir los disparos falsos debidos a animales pequeños o plantas grandes, gire el dial de "SENS"en el sentido opuesto a las manecillas del reloj para reducir la sensibilidad.
7. Gire el dial de TIEMPO en el sentido de las manecillas del reloj para incrementar el tiempo que los reectores permanecen encendidos (en "ON") (hasta 8 minutos) después de detectarse movimiento. NOTA: Cuando se hace este
ajuste durante las horas de luz del día, una vez que usted haya girado el dial de TIEMPO de la posición totalmente opuesta a las manecillas del reloj, la lámpara permanecerá encendida (en "ON") por el período de tiempo de
encendido seleccionado y luego se apagará (en "OFF"). Una vez que la lámpara se apaga, no volverá a encenderse hasta que se detecta movimiento por la noche. Para ajustar la duración de TIEMPO durante el día…
a. Gire el dial de TIEMPO a la posición totalmente girada en el sentido opuesto a las manecillas del reloj y pase su mano por el frente del detector de movimiento para activar la lámpara.
b. Una vez que se enciende la lámpara (en "ON"), gire el dial de TIEMPO para jar la duración de tiempo de encendido y tome nota de qué tanto tiempo permanece encendida la lámpara.
c. Repita los dos pasos anteriores hasta lograr jar la duración de tiempo deseada.
FUNCIÓN DE CANCELACIÓN MANUAL
Si se tiene conectada la lámpara de reectores a un tomacorriente controlada por un interruptor de pared, entonces se dispone de la función de Cancelación manual. La función de Cancelación manual permite ENCENDER (en "ON") o
apagar (en "OFF") manualmente la unidad durante la noche, con lo cual se sobrepasa o deriva el detector de movimiento.
FUNCIONAMIENTO MANUAL
Para encender (en "ON") la lámpara con reectores, apague (en "OFF") y luego encienda (en "ON") otra vez inmediatamente dentro de dos (2) segundos. Los reectores se encenderán y permanecerán encendidos hasta que el
interruptor sea accionado a apagado (en "OFF"). So el interruptor de pared había sido apagado por un período de tiempo, accione el interruptor de pared a encendido (en "ON") durante cuando menos cinco (5) segundos y luego utilice el
procedimiento de apagado-encendido descrito arriba para encender manualmente los reectores. Para apagar manualmente los reectores (en "OFF"), sólo tiene que accionar el interruptor de pared a apagado (en "OFF"). La unidad no
se activará mientras el interruptor se encuentre en la posición de apagado (en "OFF").
CÓMO RESTAURAR EL FUNCIONAMIENTO AUTOMÁTICO
Para volver a colocar la lámpara con reectores de seguridad en funcionamiento automático, accione el interruptor de pared a apagado (en "OFF") durante cuando menos cinco (5) segundos y luego vuelva a colocar el interruptor en
encendido (en "ON"). Los reectores de seguridad se encenderán durante el tiempo jado y luego se apagarán (en "OFF"). La lámpara con reectores ahora se activará de acuerdo con los ajustes en el detector de movimiento. Deje
el interruptor de pared en la posición de encendido (en "ON") para hacer funcionar la lámpara con reectores en modalidad automática.

la máxima especicada en la montura. El uso de un reector de mayor potencia puede ser causa de peligro de incendio o de daños a la unidad. No se incluyen los reectores. El
consumidor debe escoger un reector con una vida de servicio de 3,000 horas o más para cumplir con los requisitos de Energy Star.
• No intente abrir la carcasa del detector de movimiento. No hay piezas en su interior a las que se les pueda dar servicio.
• La mínima temperatura de funcionamiento de la montura es de -20°C. La temperatura puede afectar al rendimiento.

CÓMO INSTALAR SU NUEVO REFLECTOR DE SEGURIDAD.
PASO 1:
ESTE PRODUCTO DEBE SER INSTALADO DE CONFORMIDAD CON EL CÓDIGO DE INSTALACIÓN CORRESPONDIENTE POR UNA PERSONA FAMILIARIZADA CON EL DISEÑO Y
FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL PRODUCTO Y DE LOS PELIGROS QUE CONLLEVA.
DESCONECTE LA ALIMENTACIÓN ELÉCTRICA EN LA CAJA DE FUSIBLES/DISYUNTORES.
Desmonte el dispositivo viejo. Si se instala en un sitio nuevo, la instalación debe ser hecha por un electricista experimentado.
El dispositivo debe ser montado en una pared a una altura de cuando menos 2.40 metros (8 pies) por arriba del suelo para obtener un rendimiento óptimo.
