National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and the American Society for Heating,
Refrigerationand AirConditioningEngineers (ASHRAE),and thelocalcodeauthorities.
5. When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring and other
hiddenutilities.
6. Ductedfansmustalwaysbe vented to theoutdoors.
7. Donotusethis unit with anyseparatesolid-statespeed control device.
8. Toreducetheriskoffire, use only metal ductwork.
9. Thisunitmustbe grounded.

A. Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boilovers cause smoking and
greasyspilloversthat may ignite.Heatoilsslowly on lowormediumsettings.
B. Alwaysturn hood ON when cooking at high heat or whenflambeingfood(i.e. Crepes
Suzette,CherriesJubilee,Peppercorn Beef Flambe’).
C. Cleanventilatingfansfrequently. Greaseshouldnot beallowed toaccumulateon fanor
filter.
D. Use proper pan size. Always use cookware appropriate for the size of the surface
element.
