1.PRECAUTIONS
WARNING

CAUTION
Permit only qualified persons to service the instrument
Before connecting or disconnecting any components, remove the
power.
Failure to observe these precautions bodily harm or damage to or
destruction of the equipment.
The weighing scale is a precision electronic instrument, handle it carefully.
Do not install the scale in direct sunlight.
Verify the local voltage and receptacle type are correct for the scale.
Only use original adaptor, other could cause damage to the scale.
Pluggable equipment must be installed near an easily accessible socket outlet.
Avoid unstable power sources. Do not use near large users of electricity such
as welding equipment or large motors.
Avoid sudden temperature changes, vibration, wind and water.
Avoid heavy RF noise.
Keep the scale clean

2. INTRODUCTION
ZTP /ZSP series of economic price computing scales are very compact,
reliable , high accuracy and much stable.
It use15mm LCD display with white LED back light
Weighing unit conversion
20 membrane keyboard
10 indirect PLU and 2 direct PLU ,it can store 12 unit price values
Auto unit price clear operation
Battery provide up to 60 hours of continues use (without backlight)
Capacity 6 kg (12lb) to 30 kg (60lb)
Standard RS-232 interface can be connect to computer , ECR or printer
3. INSTALLATION
3.1Unpacking
Carefully take the scale out of its package, make it sure its not damaged and all
accessories are included.
Remove the scale from the carton.
Remove the protective covering. Store the packaging and to use if you need
to transport the scale later.
Inspect the scale and terminal for damage.

3.2 Installation
Remove transport lock from bottom of the scale base
Place the scale on a level surface
Install the stainless steel pan to the four hole on top of housing
3.3 Leveling
The scale is equipped with a level indicator located back side of scale
Use the adjustable leveling feet located on the bottom of the scale until the
bubble appears in the center of the scale.
3.4 Power Connection
Connect the adaptor pin in to the adaptor jack.
Adaptor jack is locating below the right side of the scale.
Adaptor connects into your AC power socket. Plugable equipment must be
installed near an easily accessible socket outlet with a protective ground/
earth contact.
3.5 Rechargeable battery operation
Note: Please charge the battery before using the scale for the first time.
The symbol above on BATT appears. scale of the weight display indicates that
the battery is getting low. it’s time to charge the battery with the AC power. If
scale goes on being used without proper charging, <BAT-LOW> words will
flicker on the display.

Approximately 30 minutes of instrument usage are left; afterwards it will
shut off automatically.
Please use the supplied battery charger for charging the battery
immediately,or scale cannot be used.
3.5.1 Charging Battery
To charge the battery insert the adaptor pin to jack, jack is locating below the
scale. Adaptor simply plug into the mains power. The scale no needs to be
turned on.
The battery should be charged for 12 hours for full capacity.
Left side of the Total Price display there is an LED to indicate the status of
battery charging. When the scale is plugged into the mains power the
internal battery will be recharged. If the LED is green, the battery has a full
charge.
If it is red, the battery is being charged.
Do not use any other type of power adaptor than the one supplied with the
scale.
Verify that the AC power socket outlet is properly protected.
3.5.2 Battery maintenance
Recharge battery should be changed in every three months when not in use.
If the scale is not used for an extended period of time,remove the battery from
the battery compartment to avoid leakage.
Store the battery in a sealed bag or box in a dry, temperate environment.

5. OPERATION
Initial Start-up
Warm-up time of 15 minutes stabilizes the measured values after switching on.
1. Power ON/OFF
Power switch is located below the right side of the scale.
Turn the scale ON; press the switch forward and hold. The scale will show the
capacity and enter a self-test mode and follow to enter the weighing mode.
Turn the scale OFF, press the switch forward once.
2. Zero
Environmental conditions can lead to the balance exactly zero in spite
of the pan not taking any strain. However, you can set the display of
your balance to zero any time by pressing key and therefore
ensure that the weighing starts at zero.
3. Tare
The weight of any container can be tared by pressing button so that
with subsequent weighing the net weight of the object being weighed is
always displayed.
1 Load weight on the pan.
2 Press key. Zero is displayed, and tare is subtracted.
3 Remove weight from the platform. Tared weight is displayed. It can set only
one tare value. It can display with a minus value.
4Press key. Zero is displayed, tare weight is cleared.
4. Weighing Units
Press key in the weighing mode to change the weighing units kg / lb.

5. Unit Price Setting

Make sure platform is empty and display is

Place goods to be weighed on the platform.
Enter the unit price by pressing numeric
keys. Total price will be calculate
automatically.
6. PLU Setting
6.1 Indirect PLU Setting
ZTP/ZSP can store 10 indirect unit price values. It can select from 0 to 9 numeric
keys.
Save to memory
1 By pressing numeric keys enter the unit price 10.
2 Press and hold , display will be shown
3 Press numeric key 0 to 9, to select location.
4 If want to select to numeric key 1, press 1.
5 Unit price 10 saved into numeric key 1.
Re-Cal Unit Price
When you want to weigh stored unit price,
1 Press , display will be shown
2 Press the numeric key, which you stored in 0 to 9.
3 If want to use stored in 1, press 1.

4 Display will be shown, which unit price is stored.
5 Place the load on the platform, total price will be calculate automatically.
6.2 Direct PLU Setting
ZTP/ZSP can store 2 direct unit price values.
Save to memory
1 By pressing numeric keys enter the unit price 10.
2 Press and hold , display will be shown
3 Unit price 10 saved into direct PLU 1.
Re-Cal Unit Price
When you want to weigh stored unit price,
1 Press key, the stored unit price appears on the display.
2 Place the load on the platform, total price will be calculate automatically.
7. Automatic Unit Price Clear
It can set automatic unit price clear.Press key to save indicator turn on or off.
1 When save indicator on, unit price appear after return to zero.
2 When save indicator off, unit price will be clear automatically.
8. Printing Operation
It allows to connect with TPuP receipt printer and RP80VI label printer ,To enable
the function, please enter parameters to select F11RS232 >Mode>Printer > TPuP or
RP80VI ; F11RS232>BAUD > 9600; F11RS232>PR> 8N1

2 Recall the direct or indirect PLU,the unit price will appear.
3 Load the items on the platter.
4 After stable indicator on,Press key to print out the format.
9.Back light Setting
ATP/ASP have an option to choose the back light operation.
1 In normal weighing mode,Press and
hold key until to show the display
2 Press key to change the settings back light display mode to Auto / On
/Off.
3 Press key to confirm and back to normal weighing mode.
Note: When the battery is getting low,the backlight function is not available.

6. CALIBRATION
1 Turn on the scale.
2 Press and hold key during the self test.
3 Display will show “Pn”briefly PIN is activated.
4 Press the PIN number to get into the parameter menu.The default PIN number is
“0000”
5 Press numeric key 0 four times , display will be shown Pn - - - -
6 Press key to confirm, It will enter into the parameter settings and will be
Show “MENU UNIT KG”
7 If calibrating in kg.,continue step 9
8 If calibrating in lb.,press key ,lb will be show on the display
9 Press key to confirm , display will be show “F0 CAL”
Then press the calibration switch to enter calibration,switch is locating below the
scale.
10 Press key to confirm for calibration, display will be show “UNLOAD”
11 Remove the goods from the platform and make sure STABLE indication has been
enable.
12 Press key to confirm,Display will be show ,CAP LOAD XX
13 If necessary select the calibration weight value from the test weights list by
pressing key and place the calibration weight on the platform.
14 Press key to confirm when display gets stable,display will be show “PASS”
15 Finished calibration and display will come to “F0 CAL”
16 Remove calibration weight from the platform.
17 Press key to go back to the weighing mode.
