USE OF THE STEAM EXTRACTOR
This device has been designed for juice extraction from fruits by means of steam cooking.
Warning:
Due to hygiene, health and warranty considerations, it is strictly forbidden to use the device for non-
food purposes. Any other use contrary to the intended use for which it was designed by the
manufacturer will release the latter from compensating any damage occurring to the device itself or
other objects and any injuries to persons which could be the result of such improper use. Being made
aware of the risks of improper use, the user will be held responsible for any resulting damage.
Principle:
The water in the lower vessel is heated to make steam. The steam goes through the basket and cooks
the fruit, the vegetables contained in it. The juice runs through the holes in the basket into the
external vessel. The juice can be filled into the bottles through the tap, after which the bottles must be
sealed hermetically. This method avoids fermentation of the juice and ensures long-term natural
preservation. The device is suited to steam-cook vegetables or pre-cook fruits to prepare jam.
Preparing the device:
-Ensure that the device, and specifically the lower parts which come into contact with food, are
perfectly clean. Use hot water to clean these parts.
-Place the device on a stable and strong substrate to keep it from tipping over when it is filled.
-The heat source heating the device may not endanger the user in any way.
Using the device:
When the device is clean, proceed to make the juice.
1. Filling and starting:
-Fill the lower vessel with water just underneath the mark and bring to the boil.
-In the meantime, cut the fruit into pieces and put them in the basket. If you want to process
grapes, make sure the grapes are no longer attached to the stems.
-Once the water is boiling, place the external vessel and the basket with fruit on top of the lower
vessel. Close by means of the lid.
-After a few minutes the steam penetrates the fruit and the juice will start to run into the
external vessel. The first half liter of extracted juice must be poured back over the fruit in the
basket.

2. Filling bottles:
-Make sure that the amount of extracted juice collected in the external vessel is no more than 4
liters.
-Put a bottle underneath the juice tap. Do not hold the bottle while filling it. Thermal shock may
cause the bottle to break; it may be wise to put the bottle in a saucepan.
-Open the tap and fill the bottle.
-If the bottle cannot be filled in one go, pour the juice back over the fruit and wait until there is
enough juice to fill the bottle completely.
-Immediately seal the bottle hermetically. Let the bottles cool down slowly.
The average time varies between 90 and 180 minutes, depending on the type of fruit.
If no more large amounts of juice comes out of the tap, the extraction can be considered finished.
CLEANING
Important:
The basket must be cleaned immediately once the extraction is terminated. Use hot water and vinegar
or a suitable cleaning agent.
For a healthy and hygienic processing of food, always keep the device and its surroundings clean.
Never use chemical cleaning agents which are not suitable for food products.
USEFUL INFORMATION
All kinds of juicy fruits can be processed. Immature fruits give a more sour taste, mature fruits
produce sweet juice.
