BEFORE FIRST USE
Before first and every use, charge the unit battery fully following the instructions on
“HOW TO CHARGE”. When the lantern is not in use for a long period, the runtime of the
light will be shortened due to the self-discharge of the battery.

HOW TO CHARGE
Fully charge the lantern using the supplied micro-USB charging cable.
1. Connect the micro-USB charging cable into the charging port at the back of the
BEAM, and the USB end of the micro-USB charging cable into your home power
outlet (DC5V power sources), computer, or other USB power source.
2. Standard charging time is approximately 3 hours. Be careful not to charge it for
more than 8 hours. Over charging will damage the battery.

NOTE: The charging time and the operation time may vary depending on the use
environment.
A. STATUS INDICATOR:
The battery power indicator light indicates how much battery life remains for the
mode in use.
B. Light flashing = Charging
C. All lights on = Fully charged 100% battery life
D. Three lights on =Around 75% battery life
E. Two lights on = Around 50% battery life
F. One light on = Low battery > Below 25% battery life

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
LIGHT FUNCTION
To turn the lantern ON, press the main button.
Adjust the light mode (High / Low / Red / Off) by pressing the main button.
To turn the lantern OFF, press the main button once after Red light mode.
POWER BANK FUNCTION
1. Select the suitable USB charging cable (different devices require
different charging cables for charging).
2. Plug the USB cable into lantern USB output port, then plug the other
side of the cable into the charging device (phone, tablet, etc.)The device
will then start charging.
3. When the lantern battery is discharged, it will stop charging. Discharging battery
will also disable light functionality until recharged.

CAUTION
DO NOT immerse in water.
Keep your BEAM away from fire, heat, flammable or combustible products.
DO NOT disassemble the BEAM.
If the BEAM has been damaged, do not use it again before consulting Brunton tech
support.
If the USB charging cable, USB plug, or BEAM body is damaged. DO NOTuse it.
The USB charging cable is for indoor use only.
Never short-circuit the terminal of the battery and the plug of the USB charging cable.
It may cause the battery to overheat, resulting in fire or damage of the components.
Use the micro-USB charging cable included for charging only.
Lithium batteries in the product can easily rupture, ignite, or explode when exposed
to high temperatures, or direct sunlight.The product should be stored and charged
under well ventilated environment. Short-circuiting a battery can also cause it to
ignite or explode. Never open a battery’s casing. Batteries contain safety devices
that protect the cells inside from abuse. If damaged, these can cause the battery to
ignite or explode while charging.
DO NOT charge the BEAM and charge an electronic device at the same time. This will
shorten the BEAM’s battery life.
Securely close the USB cover at the back of the BEAM so that it will not be damaged
by rain or dirt.
Safely and properly dispose of the BEAM according to your local regulations when it
comes to the end of its useful life.
The BEAM is NOT a toy. Child supervision recommended.
A long period of non-use will lower the voltage of the battery due to natural
self-discharge. If the light is kept on until the power is completely gone (i.e. over
discharge), it may shorten the battery life. It is recommend to charge BEAM at least
once per 1 month in order to keep the battery in normal stage.
DO NOT charge the BEAM for more than 8 hours.
If the BEAM does not provide the proper running time even though the battery is fully
charged, the battery may have reached the end of its useful life.

GUIDE DE DÉMARRAGE RAPIDE
AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION
Avant la première utilisation et toute utilisation ultérieure, charger la pile
complètement en suivant les instructions : « COMMENTCHARGER ». Lorsque la
lanterne n’est pas utilisée pendant de longues périodes, le temps d’utilisation de la
lumière sera réduit en raison du processus d’autodécharge de la pile.

COMMENT CHARGER
Chargez la lanterne complètement avec le câble de chargement micro-USB fourni.
1. Reliez le câble de chargement micro-USB au port de chargement au dos du BEAM, et
l’extrémité du micro-USB câble à votre prise de courant (source d’énergie DC5V), à
votre ordinateur, ou à toute autre source d’énergie USB.
2. La durée de rechargement moyenne est d’environ 3 heures. Prenez soin de ne pas
charger la pile pour plus de 8 heures. Surcharger peut endommager la pile.
Le temps de charge peut varier en fonction de l’environment utilisé.
A. INDICATEUR DE STATUT:

MODE D’EMPLOI
FONCTIONNEMENT DE LA LUMIÈRE
Appuyez sur le bouton de marche principal pour allumer la lanterne.
Ajustez le mode d’éclairage (Haut, Bas, Rouge/ Arrêt) en appuyant sur le bouton
principal.
Pour éteindre la lanterne, appuyez une fois sur le bouton principal après le mode de
lumière Rouge.
FONCTIONNEMENT DU CHARGEUR
1. Choisissez le câble de chargement approprié (différents appareils nécessitent
différents câbles pour charger).
2. Branchez le câble USB dans la sortie USB de la lanterne, ensuite, branchez l’autre
bout du câble dans l’appareil à charger (téléphone, tablette, etc.) L’appareil
commencera à charger.
3. Lorsque la pile de la lanterne est vide, l’appareil arrête de se charger. Une pile
déchargée empêchera aussi la lanterne de s’allumée jusqu’à son rechargement.
Différents appareils nécessitent différents câbles de chargement pour se charger.
Câble(s) non inclus.
AVERTISSEMENT
NE PAS mettre dans l’eau.
Gardez votre BEAM à l’écart des flammes, de la chaleur,et des objets inflammables
et combustibles.
NE PAS désassembler le BEAM.
Si le BEAM a été endommagé, ne pas utiliser avant d’avoir consulté l’assistance
technique de Brunton.

NE PAS utilisé si le câble de chargement USB, la prise USB, ou le BEAM est
endommagé.
Le câble de chargement est uniquement pour usage à l’intérieur.
Ne court-circuitez jamais la borne de la pile et la prise du câble de chargement USB.
Cela peut faire surchauffer la pile, ayant comme résultat le feu ou l’endommagement
des composants.
Employez le câble de chargement micro-USB inclus pour charger seulement.
Les piles de lithium dans le produit peuvent facilement se rompre, s’enflammer ou
exploser si elles sont exposées à de hautes températures ou à la lumière directe du
soleil. Ce produit doit être entreposé et chargé dans un environnement bien aéré.
Court-circuiter la pile peut également le faire s’enflammer ou exploser. Ne jamais
ouvrir le boîtier d’une pile. Les piles contiennent des dispositifs de sécurité qui
protègent les cellules à l’intérieur contre l’abus. Si endommagés, ceux-ci peuvent
faire enflammer ou exploser la pile durant son chargement.
NE PAS charger le BEAM et charger un appareil électronique en même temps. Ceci
raccourcira la vie de la pile du BEAM.
Fermez solidement le couvercle de l’USB derrière le BEAM de sorte qu’il ne soit pas
endommagé par la pluie ou la saleté.
À la fin de sa vie utile, éliminez le BEAM de façon sécuritaire et conformément aux lois
et règlements locaux.
Ce BEAM n’est PAS un jouet. La supervision des parents est recommandée.
Une longue période sans utilisation abaissera la tension de la pile en raison du
processus d’autodécharge de la pile. Si la lumière est gardée allumée jusqu’à ce
que l’énergie soit complètement consommée (c.-à-d. décharge terminée), cela peut
raccourcir la vie de la batterie. Il est recommandé de charger le BEAM au moins une
fois par mois afin de maintenir la pile en état normal.
NE PAS charger le BEAM pour plus de 8 heures.
Si le BEAM ne fournit pas le temps de fonctionnement adéquat quoique la pile soit
entièrement chargée, la pile peut avoir atteint la fin de sa vie utile.

DAS GERÄT AUFLADEN
Laden Sie die Laterne mithilfe des mitgesandten Micro-USB-Ladekabels komplett auf.

BITTE BEACHTEN: Die Lade- und Betriebszeiten können je nach der Umgebung
variieren, in denen das Gerät eingesetzt wird.
A. Batteriestatus-Anzeige:
Das Licht der Batteriestatus-Anzeige zeigt an, wie viel Akkuladung für den momentan
eingestellten Modus verbleibt.
B. Blinkendes Licht = Wird geladen
C. Alle Lichter an = Komplett aufgeladen, 100% Akkulaufzeit verbleiben

BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG
LICHTFUNKTION
Um die LaterneANZUSCHALTEN, betätigen Sie den Hauptschalter. Passen Sie den
richtigen Lichtmodus an (Hoch/Niedrig/Rot/Aus), indem Sie den Hauptschalter
drücken. Um die Laterne AUSZUSCHALTEN, drücken Sie den Hauptschalter nach dem
Roten Lichtmodus noch ein Mal.
POWER BANK-FUNKTION
1. Wählen Sie das passende USB-Ladekabel (unterschiedliche Geräte benötigen zum
Aufladen unterschiedliche Ladekabel).
2. Verbinden Sie das USB-Kabel mit dem USB-Anschluss der Laterne, dann verbinden
Sie die andere Seite des Kabels mit dem aufzuladenden Gerät (Handy, Tablet usw.).
Das Gerät wird nun mit dem Aufladen beginnen.
3. Sobald der Akku der Laterne leer ist, wird sie aufhören das Gerät aufzuladen. Ein
sich entladender Akku führt dazu, dass die Lichtfunktion ausgeschaltet wird, bis
der Akku wieder aufgeladen wurde.
Unterschiedliche Geräte benötigen zum Aufladen unterschiedliche Ladekabel - Kabel
sind nicht inbegriffen.
ACHTUNG
NICHT in Wasser eintauchen.
Schützen Sie Ihren BEAM vor Feuer, Hitze, entflammbaren oder brennbaren Produkten.
Zerlegen Sie den BEAM unter KEINEN Umständen in seine Einzelteile.
Sollte der BEAM beschädigt worden sein, dann benutzen Sie ihn erst nach Beratung
mit dem Brunton Techniksupport wieder.
Falls das USB-Ladekabel, der USB-Anschluss oder das Gehäuse des BEAM beschädigt
ist, benutzen Sie das Gerät NICHT.
Das USB-Ladekabel ist ausschließlich für die Nutzung in Innenräumen geeignet.
Verursachen Sie niemals Kurzschlüsse an den Plus- und Minuspolen des Akkus oder
am Stecker des USB-Ladekabels. Dies könnte zur Überhitzung des Akkus, zu einem
Feuer oder der Beschädigung von Einzelteilen führen.
Benutzen Sie zum Aufladen ausschließlich das inbegriffene Micro-USB-Ladekabel.
Der Lithium-Akku in dem Produkt kann leicht zerbrechen, sich entzünden oder
explodieren, wenn dieser hohen Temperaturen oder direktem Sonnenlicht ausgesetzt
wird. Das Produkt sollte in einer gut belüfteten Umgebung aufbewahrt und
aufgeladen werden. Einen Kurzschluss in dem Akku zu verursachen kann ebenso
zu einem Feuer oder einer Explosion führen. Öffnen Sie niemals das Gehäuse des
Akkus. Akkus beinhalten Sicherheitsvorrichtungen, die die Zellen im Inneren vor
missbräuchlicher Nutzung schützen. Sollten diese beschädigt werden, kann dies zu

einem Feuer oder einer Explosion beim Ladevorgang führen.
Laden Sie den BEAM und ein anderes elektronisches Gerät NICHT gleichzeitig auf. Dies
führt zu einer verkürzten Lebenszeit des BEAM-Akkus.
Schließen Sie die USB-Abdeckung auf der Rückseite des BEAM, damit dieser nicht von
Regen oder Schmutz beschädigt wird.
Entsorgen Sie den BEAM sicher, auf angemessene Art und Weise und gemäß der
lokalen Bestimmungen, wenn dieser am Ende seiner Nutzungsdauer angelangt ist.
Der BEAM ist KEIN Spielzeug. Kinder sollten jederzeit beaufsichtigt werden.
Eine Nichtnutzung über einen langen Zeitraum resultiert in reduzierte Stromspannung
des Akkus aufgrund natürlich auftretender Selbstentladung. Wenn das Licht
angeschaltet bleibt bis sich das Gerät komplett entladen hat (d. h. eine Über-
Selbstentladung stattfindet), dann kann dies zu einer verkürzten Lebenszeit des
Akkus führen. Es wird empfohlen, den BEAM mindestens einmal pro Monat aufzuladen,
um die normale Kapazität des Akkus normal zu halten.
Laden Sie den BEAM unter KEINEN Umständen länger als 8 Stunden lang auf.
Sollte der BEAM nicht die angegebene Laufzeit aufweisen, obwohl der Akku komplett
aufgeladen ist, dann hat der Akku möglicherweise das Ende seiner Nutzungsdauer
erreicht.
