Do not operate the workstation until it is completely assembled.

Make sure no obstacles are in the desk's path and all cords are of appropriate
length for the desk. Always maintain a 1" clearance around the table to prevent
pinching.
Never assemble (or disassemble) the table or components with the table plugged
into a power outlet. This product is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit and has
a grounding plug. Make sure that the product is connected to an outlet having the
same configuration as the plug. No adapter should be used with this product.

Step 3: Lay the worksurface 5on a
protected surface with the pilot holes facing
up. Place the left leg and hex rod assembly
on the worksurface. Align the holes in the
worksurface support with the pilot holes in
the worksurface. Attach the left leg and hex
rod assembly to the worksurface with (2)
wood screws 6. Leave the screws loose
by about 1/8" until the cross support 16 is
installed.
Step 4: Place the right leg assembly 7on
the worksurface 5. Insert the end of the hex
rod 1into the hex drive on the right leg
assembly 7. If it won't slide in, have an
assistant lift up slightly on the right leg
assembly. This will turn the hex drive so it
aligns with the hex rod. It should take less
than 1/6th of a turn to accomplish this. If you
turn it more than 1/6th of a turn, the legs will
be at different heights and the worksurface
won't be level. Attach the leg assembly with
(2) wood screws 6. Do not fully tighten.

Step 1: Lay the left leg assembly 3on a
protected surface with the threaded holes on
the inside of the worksurface support facing
up. Slide the hex rod 1through the hex drive
in the motor assembly 2and into the hex drive
inside of the left leg assembly.
Step 2: Attach the motor 2to the left leg
assembly 3. Use (2) machine screws 4
through the motor bracket and into the
threaded holes on the inside of the work-
surface support. The motor body must face
the back (shorter leg). Fully tighten the
screws.
If your worksurface does not have pilot holes,
skip Steps 3 and 4. Go to Steps 5-7.

Steps 5-7 apply to worksurfaces with
no pilot holes.
Step 5: Lay the worksurface 5on a protected
surface. Place the left leg and hex rod
assembly on the worksurface at the location
shown at the left.
Step 6: Place the right leg assembly 7on the
worksurface. Insert the end of the hex rod 1
into the hex drive on the right leg assembly.
If it won't slide in, have an assistant lift up
slightly on the right leg assembly. This will
turn the hex rod. It should take less than 1/6th
of a turn to accomplish this. If you turn it more
than 1/6th of a turn, the legs will be at uneven
heights and the worksurface won't be level.
Step 7: Square and align the worksurface
supports as shown in the bottom view and the
side view below. Attach the leg assembly to
the worksurface with (2) wood screws 6.
Leave the wood screws loose by about 1/8"
until the cross support 16 is attached.

Step 8: Place the steel tube brace 12 between
the worksurface supports aligning the holes in
the brace with the holes in the worksurface
support. Attach the brace to the worksurface
supports with a ferrule screw 13 at each end.
Do not fully tighten. Attach the brace to the
worksurface with (2-3) wood screws 6. Do
not fully tighten.
Step 9: Align the holes in the Touch Up/
Down switch 8with the pilot holes at the front
of the worksurface 5. If your worksurface
does not have pilot holes, place the switch at
the location shown. Attach it with (2) sheet
metal screws 9. Fully tighten. Run the wire
from the switch toward the back of the work-
surface between the worksurface and the
hex rod 1.
Step 10: Place the hex rod cover 10 on the
worksurface 5capturing the switch wire in
the notches in the cover. Align the holes in
the cover with the pilot holes in the work-
surface. If your worksurface does not have
pilot holes, center the cover on the hex rod.
Attach the cover with (6-14) screws 11
(depending on the width of your VertDesk™).
Fully tighten.
Step 11: Capture the switch wire in the cable
clamp 18 and attach it with (1) screw 11 .
Place the wire management J 15 at the
location shown and attach it with (1) screw
11 . No pilot hole is provided. Do not over-
tighten the screw. Use a low torque setting
on the driver. Run the motor wire through
the J.
Step 12: Align the holes in the control box 14
with the pilot holes in the worksurface 5. If
your worksurface does not have pilot holes,
locate the control box as shown. Attach it with
(2) wood screws 11 .

Step 13: Slide the cross support 16 onto the bracket on the left leg assembly 3.
Attach it to the leg assembly with (3) machine screws 4. Do not fully tighten. Turn
the bottom of the right leg assembly 7about 1/4 turn counter-clockwise. Insert the
cross support onto the bracket while turning the bottom of the leg clockwise back to
its original position. Attach the cross support to the right leg assembly with (3)
machine screws 4. Fully tighten all (6) screws in the cross support.
Step 14: Fully tighten the ferrule screws 13 holding the square steel tube to the
worksurface supports. Fully tighten the (4) wood screws 6 attaching the leg
assemblies 3and 7to the worksurface 5. Fully tighten the (2) or (3) wood screws
6attaching the square steel tube 12 to the worksurface.
Step 15. Thread (4) leveler glides 19 into the bottom of the leg assemblies 3and 7.
These are in the hardware pack that came with the leg assemblies. Fully tighten.
Step 16: Plug the switch wire into the round receptacle on the end of the control
box 14 . Plug the motor wire into the rectangular receptacle on the control box.
Make sure it clicks into place. Run the wires through the wire management J 15 .
Step 17: With the help of an assistant, set the workstation upright in its final
location. Level the workstation in required by turning the glides clockwise (from
the top) on the low corners of the unit.

Startup/Reset Procedure:
Step 1: Plug the power cord from the control box into a standard 110 volt
receptacle. A power surge protector is recommended.
Step 2: To set the workstation, press and hold the down button on the
desk switch until the worksurface stops at its lowest position and clicks
several times. The VertDesk™ is now ready for use.
Reset Procedure: If you lose power or the workstation does not operate,
unplug the power for 30 seconds amd plug back in. Hold the down arrow until
the worksurface stops at its lowest point and clicks several times. The work-
station is now ready for use.

Warranty Information:
VertDesk™ v2 products are warranted to be free of defects due to manufacturing or material as follows: 5 years
on gears and/or motors, including control box and switch; 10 years on support brackets, columns and feet.

replacement such as installation, labor charges or transportation are not covered under this warranty. (Includes all
purchases made after 10/5/15)
