Structure Dear customer,
Thank you for buying a PointSafe FP. This safe was developed and manu-
factured by Burg-Wächter using the latest fingerprint sensor technology.
This Fingerprint (FP) PointSafe has been designed to be used in both
standard and hotel modes. In addition to the keypad and Fingerprint reader,
this safe comes with mechanical emergency override key.
Important: Please read the entire User Manual before
you start programming.
We hope you enjoy your new BURG-WÄCHTER Fingerprint safe.
Important Notes
– Store your codes and emergency Override key at a secure location
and Not inside the safe (the emergency lock is located under
the 4 batteries).
– For security reasons we recommend you do Not use personal numbers
for example D.O.B and Telephone numbers as your User or Master code.
– If the safe is not going to be used for a prolonged period of time,
please remove the batteries.
– For hotel mode: See “PointSafe FP in hotel mode” and the attached
guest code instructions.
– For security reasons, Both the user and administrator codes should
be changed from there factory settings.
– This Fingerprint Pointsafe will only reach its required security level
if correctly bolt fixed to a secure wall or floor.
(Please use the provided anchoring bolts)
– For security reasons, the user code should be different from
the Master code.
– Please contact your vendor if you have any questions or problems
regarding your PointSafe FS.
General
This PointSafe FP can be operated in both standard mode and hotel mode.
Standard mode: The safe can be operated by using a Master code,
User code and up to 5fingerprints.
Hotel mode: The safe can be operated by using a Master code,
User code and 1fingerprint.
The Master code must have 8 digits.
The user code can have between 3 and 6 digits.
Master Code: 12345678 (factory set)
User Code: 168 (factory set)
When an action has been successfully completed, the green “opening
readiness” LED goes on. The red “Denied entry/Blocking time” LED indicates
that the action failed. In such case the original settings are retained.

When a valid opening code is entered and programming is successful,
the LED goes on.
Battery replacement symbol
When this LED is on, please replace all 4 batteries
(LR6/AA/1.5V/Alkaline).
Entry/Programming LED
When PointSafe is in programming mode, the LED goes on.
When the programming mode is terminated LED goes out.
Denied entry/Blocking time
The LED is on when an invalid code is entered or programming is
incorrect. When a incorrect code is entered three times in a row,
the operation of the safe will be blocked for 5 minutes. The LED will
flash during this time and code entry or fingerprint will not work
during this time.

Setting up PointSafe
– Remove the screw from the battery compartment side
– Shift the front panel cover cap with the PointSafe logo down
– Insert the batteries (4 pieces, LR6/AA/1.5V/Alkaline)
– The electronics will need approx. 30 sec. to load the program.
Then press the “Enter” button
– Enter the user code (168)
– Press the “Enter” button again
Now the safe can be opened and individually programmed
Standard Mode
Opening with Master code
– Press “On/Enter”, then enter the Master code.
The door automatically opens.
Opening with User code
– Press “On/Enter”, then enter the User code.
The door automatically opens.
Open with finger
– Press “On/Enter”, then move your stored finger over the sensor.
The door automatically opens.
Close
– Press the “Close/Clear” button.

Programming PointSafe FP in Standard Mode
Changing user code
– Press “On/Enter”.
– Then enter the user code. The door automatically opens.
– Hold the “On/Enter” button until the yellow “Entry/Programming“
LED flashes.
– Enter the new code (3 to 6 digits).
– Confirm it with “ON/Enter”.
Entering Programming Mode to Change Master Code
and adding Fingerprints
Press “On/Enter“, then type 76 (program mode), then press “On/Enter”
and enter Master code. The door will automatically open.
The Entry/Programming LED will be flashing and you will be in
programming mode.
Press “On/Enter“, enter Master code. Hold the “On/Enter“ button until the
yellow “Entry/Programming“LED flashes.
Changing Master code (When in Programming Mode)
– Type 22 (change master), then press “On/Enter”.
– Type the new Master code (8 digits) and confirm with “On/Enter”.
– Repeat with the new code and confirm with “On/Enter”.
Master Code has now been changed.
Changing User code (When in Programming Mode)
– Type 28 (change user), then press “On/Enter“
– Enter new code (3 to 6 digits) and confirm with “On/Enter“
Adding Fingerprint (When in Programming Mode)
– Type 23 (add finger), then press “ON/Enter”
– Swipe your finger firmly over the fingerprint sensor. The yellow
“Entry/Programming“ LED will flash after each correct swipe.
Repeat this process several times until the “Entry/Programming“
LED lights up permanently in green. Please note this can take up
to 10 swipes of your finger.
Delete all fingerprints
– Type 33 (delete finger), then press “On/Enter”.
Switching to hotel mode
– Type 46 (hotel mode), then press “On/Enter”.
Switching to standard mode
– Type 76 (standard mode), then press “On/Enter”.
Exiting programming mode
– Press the “Close/Clear” button twice.
PointSafe FP in Hotel Mode
Open with Master code
– Press “On/Enter”, then enter Master code.
The door automatically opens.
Open with User code (when a code is stored)
– Press “On/Enter”, then enter the user code.
The door automatically opens.
Open with finger (when a finger is stored)
– Press “ON/Enter”, then move your stored finger over the sensor.
The door automatically opens.
Saving finger only (with the door open)
– Hold “ON/Enter” until the “Entry/Programming“ LED goes on.
– Swipe your finger firmly over the fingerprint sensor. The yellow
Entry/Programming LED will flash after each correct swipe.
Repeat this process several times until the “Entry/Programming“
LED lights up permanently in green.
Please note this can take up to 10 swipes of your finger.
– Exit the programming mode using the “Close/Clear” button.
Save user code only (with the door open)
– Press “ON/Enter” until the “Entry/Programming“ LED lights up.
– Enter the user code and confirm it with “On/Enter”.
– When the programming is successful, the “Entry/Programming“ LED
lights up permanently in green.
– Close the programming mode using the “Close/Clear” button.
Attention: If a code and a finger is programmed for opening, they
will need to be programmed at the same time and in the correct order
(first finger, then code). New programming deletes all existing data
(Master Code will always remain)
Save finger and User code
– Press “ON/Enter” until the “Entry/Programming“ LED lights up.
– Swipe your finger firmly over the fingerprint sensor. The yellow
“Entry/Programming“ LED will flash once every time you correctly swipe
your finger over the sensor. Continue until the “Opening“ LED lights up,
whilst the yellow “Entry/Programming“ LED continues flashing.
– Enter the user code and confirm it with “ON/Enter”.
– Exit the programming mode using the “Close/Clear” button.
Attention: When the door remains open for over 5 minutes, all stored data
(code/finger) are automatically deleted.
Delete guest code/ finger, when the safe has been left
locked by the guest
– Press “ON/Enter”, then type 34 (delete guest).
– Press “ON/Enter”, then enter Master code. The “Entry/Programming“
LED flashes in green and the door automatically opens. At the same
time all the data (user code/finger) are deleted.
Disposal
Dear customer,
Please help us avoid unnecessary waste.
Should you intend to dispose of this device at any time, please remember
that many components of this device contain valuable materials, which can
be recycled.
Please be aware that electrical and electronic equipment
and batteries shall not be disposed of as household waste,
but rather collected separately. Please obtain information
on the collecting points for electrical waste from the
responsible authority of you municipality.
