1 THE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The operating instructions contain important information.
▶Read the instructions carefully and follow the safety instructions in
particular.
▶Keep the instructions in a location where they are available to every
user.
▶The liability and warranty for Type 2509 are void if the operating
instructions are not followed.
1.1 Symbols

2 INTENDED USE
Non-intended use of the cable plug Type 2509 may be a hazard
to people, nearby equipment and the environment.
▶The cable plug Type 2509 may be used in conjunction with all
third-party devices and components of type A according to DIN
EN 175301-803.
▶Use according to the authorized data, operating conditions and
conditions of use specified in the contract documents and operat-
ing instructions.
▶Correct transportation, correct storage and installation as well as
careful operation and maintenance are essential to ensure reliable
and problem-free operation.
▶Use the device only for its intended purpose.
2.1 Restrictions
If exporting the device, observe any existing restrictions.
2.2 Definitions of terms
The term "device" always refers to the cable plug Type 2509.

3 BASIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
These safety instructions do not make allowance for any
• contingencies and events which may arise during the assembly,
operation, and maintenance of the devices.
• local safety regulations, which the operator is responsible for observing,
also in relation to the installation personnel.

▶Before reaching into the device or the equipment, switch off and
lock the power supply to prevent reactivation. The voltage may
only be reactivated if the device is correctly mounted, connected
and the cover secured with the screw.

hot device surface.

The warranty is only valid if the device is used as intended in accor-
dance with the specified application conditions.

4 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
4.1 General description
The cable plug Type 2509 with UL certification consists of a polyamide
housing without integrated electronics and a connector diagram in
accordance with DIN EN 175301-803 (previously DIN 43650 Form A).
4.2 Functions
The cable plug Type 2509 is used for joining conduit connections to
solenoid coils.

6 ASSEMBLY
6.1 Safety instructions

▶Assembly may only be carried out by authorized technicians and
with the appropriate tools!
Risk of injury from unintentional activation of the system and
uncontrolled restart.
▶Secure system against unintentional activation.
▶Following assembly, ensure a controlled restart.

▶Before reaching into the device, switch off the power supply and
secure to prevent reactivation.
▶Observe applicable accident prevention and safety regulations for
electrical equipment.

→Remove cable insulation to a length of approx. 100 mm
(see "Fig. 1").
→Remove contact insert from housing (see "Fig. 2").
→Feed wire conductors under the strain relief through the housing.
→Remove the insulation from the wire conductors to a max. length of
7 mm (1/4 ") (see "Fig. 1").
→Connect the cable plug in accordance with the pin assignment of
the valve. Tighten the screws on the terminals to
max. 0.5 Nm (4.4 in-lb).
→Re-fit the contact insert into the housing.
→Lay the wire conductors beside one another under the strain relief.
Tighten the screws on the strain relief to max. 0.5 Nm (4.4 in-lb).
→Fit the cover and screw onto the housing.

6.3 Installing the cable plug
WARNING!
Risk of short circuit if the screw connection is not sealed.
▶Ensure that the seal is fitted correctly.
▶Carefully attach the cable plug.
The cable outlet can be rotated by 4 x 90°.

→Fit the conduit connection and tighten the screw connection.
Observe tightening torque of max. 6.75 Nm (60 in-lb).
→Use screw to attach the cable plug to the coil. Observe tightening
torque of max. 1.0 Nm (8.8 in-lb).
7 MAINTENANCE, TROUBLESHOOTING
7.1 Maintenance
The cable plug is maintenance-free under normal operating conditions.
7.2 Malfunctions
If malfunctions occur, check whether
→the power supply is securely connected,
→the seal is correctly seated,
→the pin assignment is correct.
If the device still does not function, please contact your Bürkert Service.

Transport damage!
Inadequately protected devices may be damaged during
transportation.
▶Protect the device against moisture and dirt in shock-resistant
packaging during transportation.
▶Prevent the temperature from exceeding or dropping below the
permitted storage temperature.
Incorrect storage may damage the device.
▶Store the device in a dry and dust-free location!

Damage to the environment caused by parts contaminated with
media.

2 BESTIMMUNGSGEMÄSSER
GEBRAUCH
Bei nicht bestimmungsgemäßem Einsatz der Gerätesteckdose
Typ 2509 können Gefahren für Personen, Anlagen in der
Umgebung und die Umwelt entstehen.
▶Die Gerätesteckdose Typ 2509 darf in Verbindung mit allen Fremd-
geräten und -komponenten mit Bauform A nach DIN EN 175301-803
eingesetzt werden.
▶Für den Einsatz die in den Vertragsdokumenten und der Bedienungs-
anleitung spezifizierten zulässigen Daten, Betriebs- und Einsatzbe-
dingungen beachten.
▶Voraussetzungen für den sicheren und einwandfreien Betrieb sind
sachgemäßer Transport, sachgemäße Lagerung und Installation sowie
sorgfältige Bedienung und Instandhaltung.
▶Das Gerät nur bestimmungsgemäß einsetzen.
2.1 Beschränkungen
Beachten Sie bei Ausfuhr des Geräts bestehende Beschränkungen.
2.2 Begriffsdefinition
Der verwendete Begriff „Gerät“ steht immer für die Gerätesteckdose
Typ 2509.

3 GRUNDLEGENDE
SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
Diese Sicherheitshinweise berücksichtigen keine
• Zufälligkeiten und Ereignisse, die bei Montage, Betrieb und Wartung
der Geräte auftreten können.
• ortsbezogenen Sicherheitsbestimmungen, für deren Einhaltung, auch
in Bezug auf das Montagepersonal, der Betreiber verantwortlich ist.

▶Vor Eingriffen in Gerät oder Anlage Spannung abschalten und vor
Wiedereinschalten sichern. Die Spannung darf erst wieder einge-
schaltet werden, wenn das Gerät korrekt montiert, angeschlossen
und der Deckel mit der Schraube befestigt ist.
▶Die geltenden Unfallverhütungs- und Sicherheitsbestimmungen für
elektrische Geräte beachten.
Verbrennungsgefahr / Brandgefahr bei Dauerbetrieb durch
heiße Geräteoberfläche.
▶Das Gerät von leicht brennbaren Stoffen und Medien fernhalten
und nicht mit bloßen Händen berühren.

Zum Schutz vor Verletzungen ist zu beachten:
▶Gerätesteckdose nicht in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen
einsetzen.
▶Dass die Anlage nicht unbeabsichtigt betätigt werden kann.
▶Installations- und Instandhaltungsarbeiten dürfen nur von auto-
risiertem Fachpersonal mit geeignetem Werkzeug ausgeführt
werden.
▶Das Gerät darf nur in einwandfreiem Zustand und unter Beachtung
der Bedienungsanleitung betrieben werden.
▶Für die Einsatzplanung und den Betrieb des Geräts müssen die
allgemeinen Regeln der Technik eingehalten werden.

4 SYSTEMBESCHREIBUNG
4.1 Allgemeine Beschreibung
Die Gerätesteckdose Typ 2509 mit UL-Zulassung besteht aus einem
Polyamidgehäuse ohne integrierter Elektronik und einem Steckerbild
nach DIN EN 175301-803 (bisher DIN 43650 Form A).
4.2 Funktionen
Die Gerätesteckdose Typ 2509 dient zum Verbinden von Conduit-
Anschlüssen mit Magnetspulen.

Die Gerätesteckdose Typ 2509 ist konform zu den EG-Richtlinien ent-
sprechend der EG-Konformitätserklärung (wenn anwendbar).

nachgewiesen wird, sind in der EG-Baumusterprüfbescheinigung und/

6 MONTAGE
6.1 Sicherheitshinweise

▶Nach der Montage einen kontrollierten Wiederanlauf gewährleisten.
6.2 Elektrischer Anschluss

einschalten sichern.

max. 0,5 Nm (4,4 in-lb) anziehen.
→Kontakteinsatz ins Gehäuse zurückstecken.
→Adern unter der Zugentlastung nebeneinander legen, Schrauben
der Zugentlastung mit max. 0,5 Nm (4,4 in-lb) anziehen.
→Deckel und Schraube auf Gehäuse montieren.

6.3 Montage der Gerätesteckdose
WARNUNG!
Kurzschlussgefahr bei undichter Verschraubung.
▶Auf einwandfreien Sitz der Dichtung achten.
▶Gerätesteckdose sorgfältig befestigen.
Der Kabelabgang ist um 4 x 90° drehbar.

7 WARTUNG, FEHLERBEHEBUNG
7.1 Wartungsarbeiten
Die Gerätesteckdose arbeitet unter Normalbedingungen wartungsfrei.
7.2 Störungen
Bei Störungen überprüfen, ob
→die Spannungsversorgung gewährleistet ist,
→die Dichtung korrekt sitzt,
→die Anschlussbelegung korrekt ausgeführt ist.
Falls das Gerät dennoch nicht funktioniert, wenden Sie sich bitte an
Ihren Bürkert-Service.

8 TRANSPORT, LAGERUNG,
ENTSORGUNG
HINWEIS!
Transportschäden!
Unzureichend geschützte Geräte können durch den Transport
beschädigt werden.
▶Gerät vor Nässe und Schmutz geschützt in einer stoßfesten
Verpackung transportieren.
▶Eine Über- bzw. Unterschreitung der zulässigen Lagertemperatur
vermeiden.
Falsche Lagerung kann Schäden am Gerät verursachen.

2 UTILISATION CONFORME
L'utilisation non conforme du connecteur type 2509 peut
présenter des dangers pour les personnes, les installations
proches et l'environnement.
▶Le connecteur type 2509 doit être utilisé avec tous les appareils
et composants externes de forme de construction A suivant DIN
EN 175301-803.
▶Lors de l'utilisation, il convient de respecter les données et conditions
d'utilisation et d'exploitation admissibles spécifiées dans le manuel
d'utilisation et dans les documents contractuels.
▶Les conditions pour l'utilisation sûre et parfaite sont un transport, un
stockage et une installation dans les règles ainsi qu'une utilisation
et une maintenance parfaites.
▶L'appareil doit être utilisé seulement de façon conforme.
2.1 Limitations
Lors de l'exportation de l'appareil veuillez respecter les limitations
existantes.

3 CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ

Ces consignes de sécurité ne tiennent pas compte

l'exploitation et de la maintenance des appareils.

▶Avant d'intervenir dans l'appareil ou l'installation, couper la tension
et empêcher toute remise sous tension par inadvertance. La ten-
sion ne doit être rétablie que lorsque l'appareil est correctement
monté et raccordé et que le couvercle est fixé avec la vis.
▶Respecter les réglementations en vigueur pour les appareils élec-
triques en matière de prévention des accidents et de sécurité.
Risque de brûlures/d'incendie en fonctionnement continu dû à
des surfaces d'appareil brûlantes.
▶Tenir les substances et les fluides facilement inflammables à
l'écart de l'appareil et ne pas toucher ce dernier à mains nues.

tant le manuel d'utilisation.

l'utilisation et utiliser l'appareil.

4 DESCRIPTION DU SYSTÈME
4.1 Description générale
Le connecteur, type 2509, avec homologation UL est composé d'un
boîtier en polyamide sans électronique intégrée et d'un connecteur
selon DIN EN 175301-803 (jusqu'ici DIN 43650, forme A).
4.2 Fonctions
Le connecteur type 2509 sert à connecter des raccords de conduites
à des bobines magnétiques.
5 CARACTÉRISTIQUES TECHNIQUES
5.1 Conformité
Le connecteur type 2509 répond aux directives CE conformément à la
déclaration de conformité CE (si applicable).
5.2 Normes

6 MONTAGE
6.1 Consignes de sécurité
AVERTISSEMENT !
Risque de blessures dû à un montage non conforme.
▶Le montage doit être effectué uniquement par un personnel quali-
fié et habilité disposant de l'outillage approprié !
Risque de blessures dû à la mise en marche involontaire de
l'installation et au redémarrage non contrôlé.
▶Empêcher tout actionnement involontaire de l'appareil.
▶Garantir un redémarrage contrôlé après le montage.
6.2 Raccordement électrique
DANGER !
Danger présenté par la tension électrique !
▶Avant d'intervenir dans le système, couper la tension et empêcher
toute remise sous tension par inadvertance.
▶Respecter les réglementations en vigueur pour les appareils élec-
triques en matière de prévention des accidents et de sécurité.

→Retirer l'isolation du câble sur env. 100 mm de longueur
(voir « Fig. 1 »).
→Retirer l'insert de contact du boîtier (voir « Fig. 2 »).
→Faire passer les brins sous la décharge de traction à travers le boîtier.
→Retirer l'isolation des brins sur 7 mm max. (1/4") de longueur
(voir « Fig. 1 »).
→Raccorder le connecteur suivant l'affectation de raccordement de
la vanne. Serrer les vis aux pièces de serrage avec un couple max.
de 0,5 N (4,4 in-lb).
→Replacer l'insert de contact dans le boîtier.
→Placer les brins sous la décharge de traction les uns à côté des
autres, serrer les vis de la décharge de traction à max. 0,5 Nm
(4,4 in-lb).
→Monter le couvercle et la vis sur le boîtier.

6.3 Montage du connecteur
AVERTISSEMENT !
Risque de court-circuit du fait d'un raccord non étanche.
▶Veiller à l'installation correcte du joint.
▶Fixer soigneusement le connecteur.
Le départ de câble est orientable de 4 x 90 °.

→Monter le raccord de conduite et serrer à fond le vissage.
Respecter un couple de serrage de max. 6,75 Nm (60 in-lb).
→Fixer le connecteur avec la vis sur la bobine. Respecter un couple
de serrage de max. 1,0 Nm (8,8 in-lb).
7 MAINTENANCE, DÉPANNAGE
7.1 Travaux de maintenance
Dans des conditions normales, la prise d'appareil ne nécessite aucun
entretien.
7.2 Pannes
Lors d'incidents, vérifier que :
→l'alimentation en tension est assurée,
→le joint est en position correcte,
→l'affectation du raccordement est correcte.
Si malgré tout l'appareil ne fonctionne pas, veuillez contacter votre
service après-vente Bürkert.

8 TRANSPORT, STOCKAGE,
ÉLIMINATION
REMARQUE !
Dommages dus au transport !
Les appareils insuffisamment protégés peuvent être endommagés
pendant le transport.
▶Transporter l'appareil à l'abri de l'humidité et des impuretés et
dans un emballage résistant aux chocs.
▶Veiller à ce que la température de stockage ne se situe ni au-des-
sus ni en dessous de la température de stockage admissible.
Un mauvais stockage peut endommager l'appareil.
▶Stocker l'appareil au sec et à l'abri des poussières !
▶Température de stockage de -40 à +90 °C.
Dommages sur l'environnement causés par des pièces d'ap-
pareil contaminées par des fluides.
▶Éliminer l'appareil et l'emballage dans le respect de
l'environnement !
▶Respecter les prescriptions en matière d'élimination des déchets
et de protection de l'environnement en vigueur.
