Bia
User Guide
Thanks for purchasing Bia! We look forward to helping you get the
most out of it and maximising your progression on your fitness
journey, whatever you train for.
Bia maximises your body’s adaptive response to exercise, by im-
proving it’s rate of ATP production. This gives your body more
energy to recover, grow and perform.
This user guide will show you how to get started using your Bia
device as well as giving some helpful tips for ease of use, getting
the best results and maximising the lifespan of consumable parts.
Quick-start Guide:
1. Before using Bia for the first time please connect the charging
cable and plug the device in for a full charge.
2. Once your Bia device is fully charged, slip it into the holding
pouch on the armband or waistband and pull the band up to your
waist or your upper arm.
3. Place the adhesive pads firmly onto clean, dry skin ensuring that
the muscle group you wish to target is between the two pads and
attatch the snap-stud heads of the delivery cable.
4. Feed the plug end of the delivery cable through the eyelet in the
band and connect it to your Bia device. Pull any excess cable
through the eyelet and tuck it neatly away inside the pouch allow-

-ing enough remaining length for free movement.
5. Now simply turn on your Bia device by pressing and holding
the button for 2 seconds. The device will first indicate the battery
level in green lights (or red if the battery charge is low). Bia will then
display a blue pulsating light and automatically begin to run a mi-
crocurrent cycle lasting 3 hours.
Please ensure that you are well hydrated before beginning a
cycle as this reduces the electrical resistance of the body, pro-
viding better current penetration to the muscles.
General Functions
Battery - When the device is turned on it will first display the bat-
tery level in green lights as follows:
• 1 Green light = 25% charge
• 2 Green lights = 50% charge
• 3 Green lights = 75% charge
• 4 Green lights = 100% charge
If your device ‘beeps’ and shows a red light, this indicates that
there is not enough charge to run a cycle. Your Bia will go into auto-
matic shutdown and should be placed on charge.
Microcurrent Cycle – When a cycle begins, Bia will display a blue
pulsating light. When the lights are blue, this indicates that a good
connection is made and the cycle is in progress. If there is no con-
nection, this light will flash red and the device will sound periodic
‘beeps’ to inform you of a disconnection. If this occurs at any point
during the cycle, the connection must be re-established within 1
minute or the device will automatically shut down. Check that all
cable connections and pads are properly in place. When connec-

-tion is re-established, the lights will show blue and the cycle will
automatically resume.
When a pulsating blue light becomes solid, this indicates that a
25% (45 minute) increment of the cycle is complete and the next
blue light will begin pulsing.
When a cycle is complete your Bia will emit a ‘3-beep tune’ to indi-
cate that the cycle is complete and the device will go into automat-
ic shutdown.
Delivery Cable – The delivery cable will come as a single cable
with two snap-stud connectors at one end. Pull the connectors
apart to begin separating the end of the cable to about half way
down the length of the cable. This allows for more diverse pad
placement and freedom of movement when in use.
Adhesive Delivery Pads – The delivery pads will typically last for
5-8 uses depending on how clean and dry they are kept. When
they no-longer stick firmly to the skin, it is time to replace them.
Tips for Delivery Pad Longevity:
• Always place the pads onto clean, dry skin.
• Where possible, try to avoid areas with body hair.
• Try to avoid sweating when the pads are connected.
• Always replace the pads onto the plastic sheets provided when
not in use.
Armband and Waistband – The armband and waistband provided
are made from a specialised micro-mesh fabric providing a resilient
flexibility that always returns to the original shape.
Hand-wash using cold water at max 30°C. Do not use detergent, do
not scrub and do not iron.

Pro Tips!
• Try to drink around 10ml of water per kg of bodyweight in the
hour prior to your microcurrent cycle – Ensuring you are well hy-
drated reduces electrical resistance in the body, allowing better
current penetration into the muscles for better results.
• When placing the delivery pads, avoid (or remove) body hair –
This helps to reduce electrical resistance whilst also elongating the
lifespan of your pads. Body hair can stick to pads, reducing the ad-
hesive surface area and oil from body hair will reduce the lifespan
of the pads.
• Placing the pads farther away from one another will increase
the number of muscles targeted by the cycle – Eg. Placing pads
on the chest will target the pecs but placing the pads on the wrists
will target forearms, biceps, triceps, shoulders, chest and the up-
per-back.
• Target muscle groups you have trained that day – Training
causes muscle damage that microcurrent helps recover and repair
post-workout. The harder you have trained that muscle group, the
more benefit it can gain from Bia.
• Turning off your Bia device manually will enter it into ‘deep
sleep’ mode which preserves battery life – When Bia performs an
auto-shutdown (at conclusion of a cycle or due to disconnection
or low battery) it will enter ‘standby’ mode which uses more power
than ‘deep sleep’.
• Set goals and monitor your progress as you work towards
hitting them sooner with Bia! - Consistency is key and this will also
help you to see the difference Bia makes to your progress.

• Send us your progress shots and success stories to win dis-
counts and freebies! - We want to hear how Bia has helped you
with your training. It lets us know that what we are doing is valued
and in return we’ll issue discount codes and freebies to the most
improved!
Pad Placement
The adhesive delivery pads can be placed onto the skin of any
muscle group below the neck. Remember that the current will
always try to take the shortest route through the body from one
pad to another. This means that although the current will permeate
your whole body, it will be most concentrated in muscles that lie
between the two pads. This allows for targeting of desired muscle
groups through strategic pad placement. Please feel free to get
creative with pad placements, but below are a few examples.
Wrists/Forearms
Placing the delivery pads on the underside
of the wrists or forearms will predominantly
target the forearms, biceps, deltoids and
pecs as the current travels along the muscle
fibres between the pads. This may be the
ideal placement following training of the
arms and chest.
Good exercises to use prior to this pad
placement may be dumbel/barbell bench-
press, chest flys, bicep curls or press-ups
among others.

Rear Deltoids
Pad placement on the rear deltoids on the
back of the shoulder will focus the current
on the rear delts and upper back.
This may be the optimum setup following
training the upper back and is well paired
with exercises such as rows, face pulls,
shrugs and deadlifts as well as others that
work this area.
Quads
Pads placed just above the knee will focus
the session on the thighs and upper legs
(predominantly quads) as the current
passes through the body between the
connection points.
This is a great setup to target the quads
and upper legs and is best used following
movements such as squatting, deadlifting,
leg press leg extensions as well as running
or cycling.
A similar placement, but on the back of the
thigh will focus a little more on hamstrings
and glutes.

FAQs
How often should I use Bia? – We recommend running a cycle for
every training session you do, up to 5 per week.
When should I run a cycle? – At any convenient point that day fol-
lowing your training session.
Why do I feel a tingling sensation when running a cycle? – Some
people will feel a ‘tingling’ sensation near the pads during a cycle. If
this is uncomfortable, we recommend stopping the cycle and
drinking more water before beginning again when you are more
hydrated. If the feeling persists after hydrating, try placing the pads
in a different location, on less sensitive skin.
Can I wear Bia during my workout? – We do not recommend wear-
ing Bia during a workout as sweating will reduce the adhesive
effect of your pads, reducing their lifespan. Sweat on the skin also
creates a low-resistance pathway for electrical current, encourag-
ing it to travel across the skin rather than penetrating into the mus-
cles below. This can reduce the effectiveness of your microcurrent
cycle. Pulling or snagging of cables during vigorous movement can
damage the device and may cause injury to the user.
What kind of results can I expect? – This will largely depend on the
level of effort and dedication put into your training and diet. Addi-
tionally, different people’s bodies will respond differently but as a
rough guide, supplementing your training with microcurrent can
increase muscle gain by 50-100% versus those who train without
microcurrent. Strength (measured as 1 rep-max benchpress) has
been shown to be increased by an extra 35% using microcurrent
consistently over a 12 week period versus training alone.
