Short Operating Guide
ABOUT THIS GUIDE

This short operating guide will show you how to start using your
111Musiccenter in just a few quick and easy steps. It does not replace the full
operating instructions for the device itself and for the iPad. You will find a
description of all the functions (such as operation over a network) and
detailed information on operation using an iPad in the full instructions.
►In particular, before you connect up and start using your 111Musiccenter,
please also read the safety instructions in the full operating instructions.

1. Put the box on the floor and take out all the accessories and the device.
CAUTION!
The device is very heavy and may cause injury if dropped.
►If necessary get another person to help you.
2. Place the device on a stable, level surface.
3. Keep the device away from heat and moisture.
4. Connect the device as described below.

description of all the possible connections in the full operating instructions for
the device.

Connecting analog signal sources
►Connect analog signal sources to INPUT1/2/3 using balanced LF cables.
Unbalanced cables can be connected using the XLR-RCA adapters supplied
with the device.
Connecting digital signal sources
►Connect electrical digital signal sources such as a CD player
to INPUT4/6/8.
►Connect optical digital signal sources such as a DAB tuner
to INPUT5/7/9.

Connecting a power amplifier
►For the best sound, connect the inputs of your power amplifier to the
BALANCED sockets using a balanced LF cable.
►Use the UNBAL outputs and a Cinch cable if your power amplifier only has
unbalanced Cinch inputs.
Connecting the power cord
1. Plug the power cord into the socket shown here and connect the other end
to the AC power outlet.
2. Switch the MAINS switch to ON.

1. Set the POWER switch on the front panel to the
center setting.
ªThe LED glows orange and the device is in
Standby mode.
2. Briefly press the POWER switch up or press the
POWER button on the remote control.
ªThe LED glows red and the system boots up.
This process can take some time.
As soon as the system has booted up, the
SetupWizard starts and takes you through the
initial settings.
3. Press the Start button.
You can now select whether to use the device
without a network connection (Standalone) or
with a network connection (Standard).
4. To use the device without a network
connection: Press the Standalone button and
then press the Next button.
You can find detailed instructions on how to use the device in a network in the
full instructions for the device and the iPad.
To switch the device to Standby mode:
►Briefly press the POWER switch up or press the POWER button on the
remote control.
ªAfter the system powers down the device switches to Standby mode.
To completely switch off the device:
►Press the POWER switch down into the Off position.
ªAfter the system powers down the device switches off. You will not be
able to use the remote control to switch it on again from this state.
PLAYING A CD

You do not need to select CD Player mode first to play a CD.
1. Slide a CD into the CD slot directly below the
display.
ªThe CD is pulled in automatically as soon as
you have pushed it in to the point where you
can feel resistance.
ªThe CD is loaded and playback begins
immediately. The screen displays information
about the track that is being played.
2. Use the row of buttons on the left of the screen or the corresponding
buttons on the remote control to operate the CD Player.
PAUSE (only displayed when the CD is playing)
Pauses the replay at the current point.
PLAY (only displayed if STOP or PAUSE has been pressed)
Starts playback.
FORWARD
Playback jumps to the next track.
BACK
Playback jumps back to the previous track.
STOP (only displayed when the CD is playing)
Stops replaying the CD and resets to track 1.
EJECT (only displayed when playback is stopped)
Ejects the CD from the slot.

1. If you are still in the CD Player or another menu:
Press the Home button at the bottom right
edge of the screen.
ªThis button returns you to the Main menu
from any other menu.
2. Use the left-hand rotary control to select
AnalogInputs or Digital Inputs and press the
rotary control to open the selection menu.
3. Use the left-hand rotary control to select the
desired input and press the rotary control.
The input is now selected. You can also change
the phase using the button on the right-hand
edge of the screen.
4. Select the best sound setting by repeatedly
pressing the button.
When you select a digital source, you can also
select the sampling rate.
