IMPORTANT– READ ALL INSTRUCTIONSCAREFULLYBEFOREUSING THISHEATER
EquipmentRequired:
: S-200-HPPortableConstruction Heater
: ¼”x10ft LPGasHosewith9/16”-18 LH swivel nut hoseends
: LPGasPressureRegulator, preset to10 psig
: Flinttype sparker/striker
: Approved LPGasstorage cylinder,full(100# cap.Recommended)
ToolsRequired:
: 7/8”Open end wrench
: 11/16”Open end wrench
: Leaktest solution
Setup/Installation:
1)Ensurethat boththe S-200-HPportableconstruction heaterand the propane cylinderarelocated inasafearea, away
fromallcombustiblesand hazards. Boththe heaterandthe cylindermust be positioned on levelsurfacesand free from
potential tippinghazards.
2)Connect the LPgaspressureregulator(preset to10 psig)tothe LPgas(propane)storage cylinderand tighten
securelyusing a7/8”open-end wrench.
3)Connect one end of the ¼” x10ftLPgashosetothe pressureregulatorand tighten securelyusing an 11/16”open-
end wrench.
4)Connect the otherend of the ¼” x10ftLPhosetothe S-200-HPportableconstruction heaterand tightensecurely
using an 11/16”open-end wrench.
5)Verifythatthe control knob on the S-200-HPportableconstruction heatergasinlet connection isturned fully
clockwise, tothe FULLYCLOSEDposition.
6)Verifythatthereareno open orconcealed sourcesof ignition present. Slowlyopen the LPgasstorage cylindersupply
valvetoallowpropane pressuretoenterintothe hose.
7)IMMEDIATELYTEST ALL GASCONNECTIONSusingan approved leaktest solution.Beginwiththe connection on
the LPgasstorage cylinder, thepressureregulator,the entirehose, and the connectionon the S-200-HPportable
construction heater.
8)Ifanyleaksaredetected, IMMEDIATELYTURN OFFTHEGASSUPPLYVALVE!!!
9)Ifno leaksaredetected,you mayproceed tothe Lighting &Operationssection.
Lighting andOperations:
1)Verifythatthereareno gasleakspresent inanypart ofthe system(refertoSetup/ Installation section)and the flow
controlknob locatedatthe gasinlet connection isturned fullyclockwise.
2)Turnthe flowcontrolvalve,located atthe gasinlet connection of the S-200-HPportableconstruction heater,¼turn
counter-clockwise.
3)Placethe striking / sparking end of the flint-type strikerintothe steelflamebowl,located inside the round S-200-HP
portableconstruction heater.
4)Beginstriking (producing sparks), whilethe striking end ofthe flint-type strikerislocated inside the flamebowland
fullydepress the red safetyvalvebutton located onthe underside ofthe S-200-HPportableconstruction heater. Aflame
shouldbecomepresent immediately. If no flameispresent, releasethe red safetyvalvebutton.
5)Ifaflameisestablished, continue toholdthe redsafetyvalvebutton for15 seconds, then releasethe red safetyvalve
button.
The S-200-HPportableconstruction heatershouldnow be operating at lowoutput.
Ifno flameispresent, go tothe trouble-shooting sectionofthismanual.

Ifflameispresent, adjust the flowcontrol knob on the S-200-HPgasinletconnection toachievethe desired flameand
heat output.
IMPORTANT NOTE–The S-200-HPportableconstruction heaterisdesign tooperatebetween 100,000 btuand 200,000
btuoutput range.Ifthe heateristurned downtoo low, it willautomaticallyshut off.
Todiscontinue useofthe S-200-HPportableconstruction heater, turnOFFthe valveon the LPgassupplycylinderand
wait 15 minutesbeforeattempting todisconnect orserviceanypart of the system.
Troubleshooting
Verifythereareno gasleakspresent.
Verifythatall connectionsaretightand secure.
Verifythe correct fuel isconnected tothesystem.
Verifythat flameistouching the thermocoupleinside theflamebowl.
Ifalltroubleshooting pointsareconfirmedcorrect, theS-200-HPportableconstruction heaterwillrequireservice. Service
can onlybe performed byatrained servicetechnician.

HEATERAND MAYCAUSESERIOUSINJURIES TOTHEHEATEROPERATOR.
