The IR remote control has been specially developed for the customer for the remote control of the Busch-

Watchdog movement detectors. The functions and settings can be comfortably controlled without a ladder. For

this the IR remote control have to be aligned directly to the Busch-Watchdog movement detector. An electrical

installer is not required.

Remote control 6179 can only be used with the Bush-Watchdog 220 MasterLINE KNX premium (6179/02-…).

The remote control has seven neutral buttons which are programmed after consultation with the electrical

installer. The buttons can be freely programmed via the software application (ETS / Power-Tool) and can be

assigned with Watchdog-based functions.

Examples:

Assignment for individual functions such as enabling different lighting

groups in the garden which are to be switched on via the movement

detector (path illumination, decorative illumination, etc.).

The ON / OFF symbol can be used for switching on or off or for freely

programming.

Note

Use the Power-Tool software application for the parameter settings. The parameters for the IR

remote control are integrated in the Power-Tool under the Busch-Watchdog.

Note

The IR remote control is coded and must be programmed to the Busch-Watchdog during

commissioning ("Programming the device").

This code (16 bit, corresponds to 65,536 possible variations) prevents movement detectors in the

surrounding area to be influenced unintentionally or deliberately.

1 Remove the protective foil from the battery before commissioning.

Programming the device

1. De-energize the Busch-Watchdog for at least 30 seconds.

2. Press any button on the remote control for at least 3 seconds within the period of 10 minutes after activating

the power on the Busch-Watchdog.

- The remote control will then automatically connect itself to the Busch-Watchdog. The Busch-Watchdog

flashes if the reception is correct.

Repeat these steps to program a maximum of 14 additional remote controls.

2. Insert a new battery of type 2025. The plus pole of the battery (+) must be on top.

3. Push the battery holder back into the device.
