The indicator will show as green when the unit is on and red when in standby.

Installing the Batteries
Remove the battery coverfrom the Remote Control and put 2xAAAsize batteries inside
the compartment.
The diagram inside the Battery Compartment shows the correct way to install the
batteries.

Using the Remote Control
To use the Remote Control, point it towards the front of the Digital Set Top Box. The
Remote Control has a range of upto 7 metres fromthe Set Top Box at anangle of up to
60 degrees.
The Remote Controlwill not operate ifits path is blocked.
Sunlight or very brightlight will decrease thesensitivity of the Remote
Control.

Connections
Caution: Make sure to checkthe voltage specification ofthe wall outlet isthe same
rating with the receiver. Toprevent the risk ofelectric shock, do notopen the cover or
the back of thereceiver.
Note: 1.When connecting the receiver toother equipment, e.g., TV, VCR and amplifier,
make sure to refer torelevant user manual for instruction. Also,make sure you
disconnect all the equipmentsfrom the mains supply before the connection.

First Time Installation
After all connections have been made properly and power is connected,
switch on the TV and the SetTop Box. When using thereceiver for the first
time or after you have conducted a restore to Factory Default the
Installation Guide will appearon your TVscreen.
(1) Select [OSD Language]and press the RIGHT/LEFT Navigate Buttons to select your
desired language
(2) Select [Country] and pressthe RIGHT/LEFT Navigate Buttonsto select Australia
(3) Select [Channel Search] and press the RIGHT or OK Button confirm and begin the
automatic channel search
(4) Once the automatic channel search is complete, the first channel in the list will
appear on screen andyou can now watchTV.
Basic Operation
Program Settings
To access the Main Menu, press the MENU Button andthen select [Program] toadjust
the program settings. Press the OK or RIGHT to confirm any adjustments. Press the
EXIT button to exitthe Menu.
Program Edit
In the Program Menu, you can edit the program settings. To edit your program
preferences (lock, skip, favourite, move or delete), you will need to enter the Program
Edit Menu. This Menu requires a password to access. Enter the default password
'000000'.
From the channel listshown in the ProgramEdit Menu you canselect and edit channels
by following the belowoperations;
- Press the REDButton to move ahighlighted channel
- Press the GREENButton to skip ahighlighted channel
- Press the YELLOW Button to locka highlighted channel
- Press the BLUE Button to deletea highlighted channel
- Press the FAV Button to selectand add a channelto your favourite list.You canset your
favourite shows to fourdifferent favourites lists -Movies, Music, News andSports.

Setting Favourite Programs
Viewing Favourite Program
1. Press the Favourite Button and theFavourite Menu willappear.
2. Press the Up/DownNavigate Buttons to scrollthrough your FavouritePrograms.
3. Press theOK Button to selectand play your favouriteprogram.
Deleting a TV orRadio Program
1. Press the Favourite Button and theFavourite Menu willappear.
2. Press the Up/DownNavigate Buttons to scrollthrough your FavouritePrograms.
3. When you havefound the program youwish to delete, pressthe Blue Button onyour
remote control and theprogram and heart-shaped symbol willbe removed.
4. Press theOK Button to confirm.
Setting a TV orRadio Program to Skip
1. Tune your TV to theprogram you wish to skip and then press the Green Button on
your remote control. A skip symbol will be displayed next to the program in the
program list.
2. Repeat step oneto select and setmore programs.
3. Toconfirm and exit theMenu, press the ExitButton
If you have incorrectly set a program to skip, press the Green Button again and the
selection will be disabledand the skip symbolwill disappear.
Moving a TV orRadio Program
1. In your channel list select the program you wish to move and then press the Red
Button on your remotecontrol. A move symbolwill appear next tothe program.
2. Press theUp/Down Navigate Buttons tomove the selected program.
3. Press OKto confirm.
4. Repeat the abovesteps to move morechannels.
Locking a TV orRadio Program
As apart of the parental lock function, you can lock a selected program to restrict it
from being viewed bychildren. Tolock a particular program followthe below steps:
1. Tune your TV to the program you wish tolock and then press the Yellow Button on
your remote control. Alock-shaped symbol will bedisplayed next to theprogram in
the program list andit is now locked.
2. Repeat step oneto select and lockmore programs.
3. Toconfirm and exit themenu, press the EXITButton.
4. Press theYellow Buttonagain to disable thelocked program.
5. To view a locked program, you will be require to enter either the default password
'000000' or your lastset password.
The Favourite functionin the Program EditMenu allows you tocreate four shortlists of
favourite programs that youcan easily access.
To seta TV program orradio station to yourfavourites list, please followthe below:
1. Press theMenu Button and usethe Navigation Button tohighlight the 'ProgramEdit'
option and press [OK].
2.Press the NavigationButtons to select andhighlight the channel youwant to add
and then press theFav Button toadd to favourites. Usethe Navigation Buttons to
select the favourite list(Movie, Music, News &Sports) you wish the programto be
saved to and pressthe OK Button toconfirm.

Electronic Programme Guide (EPG)
The Electronic Programme guide,is an on-screen TV guidewhich shows the scheduled programmes
for the next seven days.
Using the Electronic ProgrammeGuide
1. Press the [EPG]button to enter the on-screenguide.
2. Press the & Navigation Buttons to scrollthrough the TV programmeson screen.
3. Press the & Navigation Buttons to scroll throughthe TV channels.
4. Press the RedButton to skip forward oneday or press the GreenButton to view the previousday.
5. To seta reminder in theEPG Menu, press theINFO Button and thenpress the RED Buttonto begin
setting the reminder.Follow the on-screen instructions tocomplete the reminder setting.When the
reminder has been setand is activated areminder window will popon the screen whenthe program is
about to start.
Sorting your Channel List
The Sort function in the program settings allows you to arrange the program list in
your desired order.
[LCN] - Sort the channelsin ascending order
[Name] - Sort the channelsin alphabetical order
[Service ID] - Sort the channelsaccording to the station
[ONID] - Sort the channelsaccording to ONID
LCN (Logical channel number)
You canset that Channel listto automatically be arrangeby LCN. Select thisoption in
the program menu toset it to onor off.

Picture Setting
To accessthe Picture Menu, pressMenu Button then selectthe [Picture] sub-menu. The
Picture menu allows youto adjust the pictureand video settings. Pressthe Up/Down
Navigate Buttons to selectan option and pressthe Right/Left Navigate Buttons toadjust
that setting. Press theExit Button to exitthe menu.
Aspect Ratio
The Aspect Ratio allowsyou to set theTV screen display. Youcan choose between either
4:3 PanScan, 4:3Letter Box, 4:3 Full,16:9 Widescreen or Auto.16:9 pillar box, 16:9
Pan&scan
Resolution
The Resolution allows you change the picturequality. You may want toadjust this setting
if you are havingissues with your TVpicture image. You can choose between;480i, 480P,
576i, 576P, 720P and 1080I, 1080P(50Hz)
TV format
The TV format refers to your the system by which your Set TopBox receives its TV signal.
Channel Search
If you wish to conduct a channel search your will need to go to the Channel Search Menu.
Press the Menu Button and then select [Search Channel] option. The Channel Search
Menu allows you to select what type of search you would like to conduct. Press the
Right/Left Navigate Buttons to select the Channel Search option you wish to use. Press
the OK Button to confirm and press the Exit Button to exit.
Auto Search
In the Channel SearchMenu you can selectAuto Search, which meansthe TV will
automatically search and storeall available channels.
1. Select the [AutoSearch] option and pressthe OK or RightNavigate Button to conduct
an Automatic Channel Search.
2. Tocancel the channel search,press the Exit Button.

Manual Search
In the Channel SearchMenu you can selectManual Search, which meansyou can
manually select the channelsyou wish to searchfor and store inthe channel list. You
can use this optionto add new channelsto the channel listwith out replacing thewhole
list.
1. Select the [ManualSearch] option and pressthe OK or RightNavigate Button to begin.
2. Once in theManual Search option, pressthe Right/Left Navigate Buttons toselect
the channel frequency ofthe channel you wishto find and store.
3. Press theOK Button to thenscan for the frequencyselected. When the channelis
found it will beadded to the channellist.
Country
In the Channel SearchMenu you can changeyour country of residence.
Antenna Power
In the Channel SearchMenu you can turnsetting on or off if you have anexternal
antenna connected.
Time Menu
To accessthe Time Menu, pressthe Menu Button andthen select the [Time]option.
The Time Menu allowsyou to adjust thetime settings. Pressthe Up/Down Navigate
Buttons to select adesired option and thenpress the Right/Left NavigateButtons to
adjust the setting. Press the OK Buttonto confirm and theExit to exit themenu.
Time offset
In the Time Menuyou can set theTime offset to autoor manual. Manual willallow you to
adjust the GMT offsettime.
Country Region
In the Time Menuyou must set yourCountry Region when the[Time Offset] is setto
Auto.
Time Zone
In the Time Menuyou must set theTime Zone Offset when[Time Offset] is setto Manual.

Auto Standby
Option
To accessthe Option Menu, pressthe MENU Button andthen select the [Option]Menu. The
Option Menu allows youto adjust the OSDLanguage, Subtitle Language andAudio Language
settings. Toselect an option inthe Option Menu pressthe Right/Left Navigate Buttons to
adjust. Press the ExitButton to exit theMenu.
Auto Standby (inactivity setting)is used to putthe Set Top Box into standbyif a button hasn't
been pressed for 3hours. The default settingof the Set Top Box is Off.
OSD Language
In the Option Menuyou can select andadjust the OSD Language.
Audio Language
In the Option Menuyou can select yourpreferred audio language. If thelanguage is not
available, the default programlanguage will be used.
Subtitle Language
In the Option Menuyou can select yourselect the preferred subtitle language.
Digital Audio
In the Option Menuyou can select yourdigital audio connection.
System Setting
To accessthe System Setting Menu,press the Menu Buttonand then select [System]Menu.
The System Settings Menuallows you to adjustand view the SystemSettings. Press the
Right/Left Navigate Button to adjustthe settings. Press theExit Button to exitat any time.
Parental Guidance
In the System SettingMenu you can restrictaccess to channels thatare unsuitable for
children. Torestrict/lock undesirable channels youwill need to entereither the default
password
'000000' or your ownpassword.
Set Password
To setor change the passwordfor locked programs. Enteryour old password orthe default
password '000000'. Youwill then be askedto enter the newpassword and then confirm byre-
entererig your new password.Once it is confirmed, pressthe Exit Button toexit the Menu.13

Factory Default
In the System SettingMenu you can selectthe Factory Default optionto conduct a
settings reset. In theMain Menu, select [Factory Default] and thenpress OK or Right
to select. You will then needto enter your passwordor the default password'000000'
to gain access tothis section. Press theOK Button to confirm.Conducting a Factory
Reset will delete allpreset channels and settings.
Information
In the System SettingMenu you can selectthe Information option toview the model,
hardware and software information.
USB is primarily forSoftware Upgrade, however itdoes support movie playback.
Software Update
From time totime new software may byavailable for your digitalbox, which can be
updated by receiving thesoftware via your aerialor via the USBport.
To accessthe USB Menu, pressthe MENU Button andselect [USB] using the
Right/Left Navigate Buttons. TheUSB Menu allows youto play Music, Photoand
Multimedia files. It cansupport AVI, WMA, JPEG andBMP formats. The unitwill only
support USB device with FAT32 filesystem.
A. Multimedia
When a USB deviceis connected, you canselect from the Music,Photo or Movie
modes using the Right/Left Navigate Buttons and thenpressing the OK Button.If a
USB device is notconnected, the warning message"No USB device isFound" will
appear.

1.Music: Tolisten to music viayour USB, use theNavigation Buttons to selectthe file
you wish to playand the use thePlay, Pauseand Stop Button toplay MP3 and WAV
music files.
2.Photo: Toplay an image slideshowor view images fromyour USB, use the
Navigation Buttons to selectthe image files youwish to view.You areable to open
JPEG and BMP imagefiles. If the filesare in the mainfolder on the USBthey will appear
in thumbnail format onthe screen otherwise the folderson your USB willbe displayed.

B. Photo configure
-Slide Time: when displaying pictures, you can adjust the picture slide show internal
from 1 to 8 seconds.
-Slide Mode: when displaying pictures, there are 60 different slide show modes
(mode 0 to 59) plus a random mode.
-Aspect Ratio: Keep displays the picture as its original aspect,
Discard displays the picture in full screen mode.
C. Movie Configure
- Aspect Ratio:
[Keep]: Play movie as its original aspect.
[Discard]: Play movie in full screen mode.
- Subtitle Specific:
[Small]: Displays the subtitle as small mode.
[Normal]: Displays the subtitle as normal mode.
[Big]: Displays the subtitle as big mode.
- Subtitle BG:
[White]: Displays the subtitle in white background.
[Transparent]: Displays the subtitle in transparent background.
[Grey]: Displays the subtitle in grey background.
[Yellowgreen]: Displays the subtitle in yellowgreen background.
[White]: Displays the subtitle in White background.
- Subtitle Font Color:
[Red]: Displays Subtitle in red font.
[Blue]: Displays Subtitle in blue font.
[Green]: Displays Subtitle in green font.
[White]: Displays Subtitle in white font.
[Black]: Displays Subtitle in black font.

3.Movie:To watchmovies via your USB,use the Navigation Buttonsto select the file
you wish to playand then use thePlay, Pauseand Stop Button toplay MPEG2, XVID,
AVI, MKV and VOBvideo files.
Please Note: Not allprofile's are supported.
4. PVR: You can record liveTV straight to yourUSB storage device (pendrive/ hard
disk) by inserting the USBinto the side ofthe unit and pressingthe Record Buttonto
start the recording. To stop recording, pressthe Stop Button.
To playa recorded file, pressthe List Button toenter the recorded filelist. Then use
the Navigation Buttons toselect the file youwish to play. Youcan use the Play/Pause
Button to play orpause recorded files andthe Stop Button tostop playback.

D. PVR configure
Once your USB Device hasbeen inserted into the side ofthe unit, press the MenuButton and then press
the (Left/Right) Navigation Buttons toselect USB mode. Pressthe Enter Button toconfirm and enter the
USB mode. Then use the(Up/Down) Navigation Buttons to selectthe "PVR configure" Menu andthen
press the Right NavigationButton to enter the"PVR configure" Menu. ThisMenu will allow youto
format your USB device andensure it is readyfor recording.
In PVR Configure mode,you will be askedto do the following;
[RECORD DEVICE]:This will allow youto set your USB deviceto record. Use the (Up/Down)Navigation
Buttons to select the"RECORD DEVICE" option andpress the Right NavigationButton to enter the
"RECORD DEVICE" option andautomatically set the USBfor recording.
[FORMAT]:This will allowyou to format and clearyour USB for recording.Use the (Up/Down)
Navigation Buttons to select the"FORMAT" option andthen press the Right NavigationButton to enter
the "FORMAT" option.Press the Enter Buttonto begin formatting your USBDevice.
