In order to fully utilize the many advantages of your newly acquired V-LOAD Cutter Megastar silage
block cutter, please read this operating manual carefully before commissioning this accessory
equipment.
Please also ensure that every person involved in the operation of the machine has read this operating
manual before commissioning the V-LOAD Cutter Megastar silage block cutter.

2.2 Working in a safety-conscious manner
Your accessory equipment has been built in accordance with the state
of the art and all recognized safety rules. Regardless, using the
accessory equipment carries certain risks and may impair:

other material assets.
Observe the following to ensure the operational safety of the
accessory equipment:

2.3 Organizational measures
The operating manual:
must always be stored at the location of the accessory
equipment.

personnel at all times.
2.3.1 Responsibilities of the owner
The owner is required to:
observe all national, generally applicable regulations regarding
safety and accident prevention as well as environmental
protection,
limit work with / on the accessory equipment to personnel who:
are familiar with all general safety and accident-prevention
regulations,
have been instructed in how to work with / on the accessory
equipment,
have read and understood this operating manual.
keep all warnings attached to the accessory equipment legible at
all times,
replace damaged warnings,
provide personnel entrusted with work with / on the accessory
equipment with the necessary personnel protective equipment
such as:
safety goggles,
work gloves according to DIN EN 388,
safety shoes,
protective suit,
skin protection, etc.

2.3.2 Responsibilities of the operator
Before commencing work, all personnel designated to work with / on
the accessory equipment are required to:
observe all national, generally applicable regulations regarding
safety and accident prevention as well as environmental
protection,
read and observe chapter "Safety instructions", starting on
page 10 of this operating manual,
read chapter "Warnings and instructions", starting on page 28 of
this operating manual and observe it while operating the
accessory equipment,
become familiar with the accessory equipment,
read the chapters in this operating manual that are essential for
the execution of the work tasks they have been assigned.
If detecting that a fixture is no longer fully compliant with the safety
regulations, the operator is required to remedy this defect immediately.
If the correction of a fault is not part of the operator's responsibilities or
the operator lacks the necessary expertise, the operator must report
the defect to his supervisor or the owner.
2.3.3 Qualification of the personnel
Work with / on the accessory equipment is limited to qualified and
trained personnel. The operator must clearly define the
responsibilities of the personnel with regard to operation, maintenance
and repairs.
A person in training may only work with / on the accessory equipment
when supervised by an experienced member of the personnel.
The operator may only perform the work described in this operating
manual.
Work on the accessory equipment that requires professional expertise
may only be performed by specialty workshops. Specialty workshops
have the qualified personnel and suitable means (tools, lifting and
supporting devices) that are necessary to perform the work in a
professional and safe manner.
This applies to work:

2.3.4 Intended use
The Silage Block Cutters of the V-LOAD Cutter Megastar series:
are intended exclusively for cutting/removing silage blocks from
horizontal silos, transporting and depositing silage blocks
composed of any type of silage as well as feeding stuff
commonly used in animal husbandry and whose content of dry
substance makes up more than 30% of the overall mix.
may only be mounted to an adequate vehicle (tractor,
wheel/farmyard loader, telescopic loader) using a suitable
fixture / holder (as a front or rear loader depending on the
vehicle).
may only be operated by one person from the driver's seat of the
tractor.
2.3.5 Claims based on defects and liability
Claims based on defects and liability are excluded in cases of
personal injury and property damage that can be attributed to one or
several of the following causes:
Intended use also comprises:
observing all information provided in this operating manual,
performing all inspection and maintenance work,
the exclusive use of original spare parts.
Improper use.
Improper installation, commissioning, operation and
maintenance.
Operating the accessory equipment with defective, improperly
mounted or non-operational safety devices and safeguards.
Failure to observe the operating manual with regard to transport,
storage, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance and
setup.
Unauthorized structural modifications.
Insufficient monitoring of accessory equipment parts that are
subject to wear.
Improperly performed repairs.
Natural disasters and force majeure.
Vandalism.
Damage resulting from improper use:
is the sole responsibility of the owner,
is not the responsibility of the manufacturer.

2.5 Product safety
2.5.1 Safe operation of the accessory equipment
The accessory equipment may only be operated by a single person
from the driver's seat on the tractor provided there is no one in the
work area of the accessory equipment. See chapter "Danger area /
work area and hazard areas" in this regard, and observe page 20.
Reset all controls on the accessory equipment to the zero position
before starting the tractor.
2.5.2 Safety devices and safeguards
The accessory equipment must not be operated unless all safety
devices and safeguards have been properly fitted and are fully
operational.
Faulty or missing safety devices and safeguards may lead to
dangerous situations.
Check all safety devices and safeguards for obvious external
damage and proper operation before putting the accessory
equipment into operation.

2.5.3 Structural modifications
Vehicles with an operating permit issued by an authority or
fixtures and equipment connected to a vehicle for which an
applicable operating permit or an approval for road travel in
accordance with the traffic regulations is available must be in a
condition that complies with the provisions of the corresponding
permit or approval.
Do not subject the accessory equipment to any structural
modifications nor any attachments or retrofitting unless you have
the written permission of the manufacturer to do so.
In case of unauthorized structural modifications as well as
unauthorized attachments and retrofitting:
the Declaration of Conformity and the CE mark on the
accessory equipment will become void,
the operating permit in accordance with national and
international regulations will become void.
Use only original spare parts or modification or accessory parts
that have been approved by the manufacturer in order to ensure
that:
the Declaration of Conformity and the CE mark on the
accessory equipment will remain valid,
the operating permit in accordance with national and
international regulations will remain valid,
the accessory equipment remains fully operational.
The manufacturer does not accept any liability for damages
caused by:
unauthorized modifications of the accessory equipment,
unapproved modification and accessory parts,
welding and drilling operations on load-bearing sections of
the accessory equipment.
DANGER
Dangerous situations may arise if load-bearing parts break as a
result of mechanical work performed on sections of the frame!
These hazards may cause serious injury, including death.
The following is prohibited as a general rule:
drilling on the accessory equipment
drilling out holes already existing on the accessory equipment
welding on load-bearing parts

2.5.4 Replacement and wear parts as well as auxiliary supplies
Replace parts of the accessory equipment that are not in proper
technical condition without delay or have them replaced immediately.
When doing so, use only original parts made or approved by the
manufacturer in order to ensure that the operating permit, in
accordance with national and international regulations, retains its
validity.
When using replacement and wear parts made by third parties, you
are not guaranteed that these parts are designed and constructed in a
way that would ensure operational reliability and safety.
The manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by using
unapproved replacement and wear parts or auxiliary supplies.
2.5.5 Warranty and liability
Our "Terms of Sales and Delivery" apply as a general rule. The owner
has received these terms no later than by the time the contract was
concluded.
Warranty and liability claims are excluded in cases of personal injury
and property damage that can be attributed to one or several of the
following causes:
Improper use of the accessory equipment.
Improper installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance
of the accessory equipment.
Operating the accessory equipment with defective safety devices
or improperly mounted or non-operational safety devices and
safeguards.
Failure to observe the information provided in the operating
manual regarding commissioning, operation and maintenance.
Unauthorized structural modifications on the accessory
equipment.
Insufficient monitoring of accessory equipment parts that are
subject to wear.
Improperly performed repairs.

2.6 General safety instructions
General safety instructions:
apply in general and are intended to ensure the safe operation of
the accessory equipment,
are summarized in the subchapters below.
2.6.1 Danger area / work area and hazard areas
The danger area is the area in and/or around the accessory
equipment where dangerous situations may arise that will affect the
health or safety of a person.
No one is allowed to stay inside the danger area:
while the engine of the tractor is running with the hydraulic /
electronic system connected,
unless the tractor and the accessory equipment are secured
from starting up inadvertently or rolling way.
Only if no one is inside the work area of the accessory equipment is
the operator allowed to:
move the accessory equipment,
shift the moving components of the accessory equipment from
the transport position to the work position and vice versa,
power work tools.
The danger present in the work area arises from certain hazard areas.
These hazards are present at all times or may arise unexpectedly.
Hazard areas are marked by warnings attached to the accessory
equipment. These warnings warn of existing residual hazards.
This operating manual contains action-related safety information that
warn of existing residual hazards.
These hazards may arise from:
the operating movements of the accessory equipment and its
work tools,
the inadvertent lowering of the raised accessory equipment /
parts of the accessory equipment,
the tractor starting up or rolling inadvertently.
