KEY FEATURES

Scanning& Optical Character Recognition
C900W is a text scanner with which it is possible to scan words, lines or paragraphs. Push
the front of the pen towards the paper to activate scanning by pressing down the Scan
trigger (#18) and move the pen along the text line to capture text.
When the pen is lifted from the paper, the scanned text is processed by an OCR engine
and images are converted to digital text which shows up on the screen.
Scanned text may at any time be saved in text files in the pen memory.
Text to speech (TTS)
The TTS makes it possible to listen to the scanned text being read out loud. Reading is
triggered by pressing the OK button (#4). Reading is both a support function for users
with reading difficulties and users reading a second language and who need to listen to
words being pronounced.
Dictionary
To improve literacy, C900W contains monolingual dictionaries explaining the meaning of
words that may be more difficult to understand.
C900W also contains bi-lingual dictionaries translating words between languages. These
are useful when learning a second language or when reading text in a foreign language.
Translation
Any scanned text is possible to translate in full to another language (requires wifi
connection). Scan some text or open a file with previously scanned text and trigger
translation.
Recording
By pressing Voice memo button (#11), it is possible to record a voice memo that is stored
in the pen memory. Vice memos may be retrieved and listened to at any time.

Connectivity
C900W supports WIFI and USB connection. WIFI is primarily used to connect to internet
in order to leverage on online resources and USB is used for direct connection to
computers as well as charging of the built-in rechargeable battery.
