INSTALLATION AND INFORMATION
SHEET FOR DLPS-15C
GENERAL INFORMATION:
1. This surge protector is for outdoor use.
2. The DLPS-15C is to be used with 75 ohm coaxial cable such as Series 59 and Series 6.
3. This is a dual directional protector, so either connector can be the service port. If attached directly to the
round block the female connector will become the customer port.
4. DLPS-15C conforms to surge fusing guidelines outlined under UL-497Cand ANSI/NFPA 70
National Electrical Code, Article 830 and is rated as a low power device as defined in Table 830-4
5. The DC breakdown rating is 135 volts.
6. The normal operating parameters of the DLPS-15C are as follows:

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
FOR DLPS-15C
INSTALLATION:
New Installation using a ground block:
1. Install the ground block and the bonding to the ground rod per your company’s standards.
2. Screw the DLPS-15C on to the subscriber’s side of the ground block (see figure 1).
3. Install the drop cable to service side of the ground block using your company’s standards of sealing the
connection.
4. Install the subscriber’s service cable to the female connector of the DLPS-15C using your company’s
standards for installation and sealing.
Existing Installation:
1. Remove the subscriber‘s cables from the grounding block.
2 Screw the DLPS-15C on the ground block (see figure 1).
3. Reattach the subscriber’s cable to the female connector of the DLPS-15C using your company’s standard for
sealing.
