Note: All cables to connect USB devices to the Switch are sold separately
2.2 Product Description
The Cable Matters® 4-Port USB 3.0 Switch is an ideal solution for
sharing USB peripheral devices between 4 different computers.
Connect the switch box over the Micro-B 3.0 port to USB-equipped
computers with the provided Micro USB to USB A Cable. Enjoy easy
access to the connected devices with a single press button on the
remote control. No hassle to unplug and re-plug your devices.

2.3 Product Features
• Supports four different computers to have instant switching access
to the connected USB peripherals, like printer, scanner, keyboard,
mouse, webcams, hard disks and more
• Connect to USB 3.0 devices for data transferring with transfer rate
up to 5Gbps (USB 2.0 backwards compatible)
• Switch between four computers with a single press button on the
lightweight remote controller or on the switch box
• LED light on the switch box indicates which connected computer
has access to all peripherals
• Plug and play, no driver required
• Add a USB to HDMI Adapter (Sold separately Cable Matters
103046) to share video (Windows only)
• Connect a USB C port of your computer through USB-A to USB-C
adapter (Included)
• Connect more USB Type C Computers by adding more USB-A to
USB-C adapters (Cable Matters 201022) or USB-C to USB Micro B
3.0 cables (Cable Matters 201006)
• Turn off/on the remote control by pressing and holding down the #1
and #3 buttons on the Switch for 5 seconds

3. CONNECTION INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 Panel Diagram
1. 4x Micro-B 3.0 ports for computers connection
2. 1x USB-C port for power
3. 4 Buttons on top for source switching, with blue LED light indicat-
ing a valid control
4. On/Off Switch
5. 4x USB-A ports for USB peripherals

3.3 Connection Instructions
1) Power off all source equipment
2) Make sure the switch is “OFF” before connecting any device
3) Connect the AC adapter to a wall outlet
4) Connect the switch box to up to 4 USB-equipped computers
with the provided Micro USB to USB A Cable
5) Connect the switch box to up to 4 USB peripherals through the
USB-A ports
3.2 Remote Installation
Remove the insulating tab from the end of the battery and
check that the battery is installed correctly
Troubleshooting tips:
• Replace the battery
• Make sure the Switch is turned on and remote control
is not turned off on the Switch
• The included remote control is already paired to the switch by
default. To manually pair a replacement remote control, power on
ONLY the switch to pair and hold down the Pair button on the
remote control for 3 seconds until the remote control LED stops
flashing. If multiple switches are used in the same room, power off
all other switches before pairing.

3.4 Troubleshooting Tips
• Verify that the Switch is On and all cables are securely connected
• Verify that correct USB cables are connected:
USB-A to Micro-USB cable to the source computer
USB-C AC adapter to the USB-C port on the Switch
USB devices to the USB-A ports on the Switch
• The LED light turns blue when the connected computer has
control to all connected USB devices
• The rapidly-blinking LED lights indicate the remote control is
turned off. The slowly-blinking LED lights indicate the remote
control is turned on.
• Connect the included USB-C AC adapter to a wall outlet if the
USB device is not recognized by the computer
• Connect an external power supply to a high power-consumption
USB device such as hard drive, flash drive, card reader, etc.
• Check if driver installation is required for the attached devices on
the connected computers
• Test each cable or equipment directly with other equipment
• Restart or reconnect the Switch by unplugging and re-plugging it
back in
• If USB keyboards, mice, or other devices do not work or intermit-
tently lose connection, connect the included USB 2.0 extension
cable to the switch, and connect the device to the USB extension
cable
