POWER BUTTON
e CT6 PLUG-IN features an electronic pushbuon start. e
POWER buon is located to the right of the steering wheel. e
Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmier must be in the vehicle to
start the ignition.
STARTING THE VEHICLE/ON
With the vehicle in Park or Neutral, press the brake pedal and
then press the POWER buon. A power ON audio cue will
sound.
Note: The vehicle may start silently (electric only operation) or the engine
may start, depending on the charge of the high voltage battery.
READY TO DRIVE
When the vehicle is ready to
be driven, the

Note: The vehicle will not shift
out of Park and a Charge Cord
Connected message will display
if the vehicle is plugged in.
SHUTTING DOWN THE
VEHICLE/OFF
Shi to Park and then press the POWER buon. A power OFF
audio cue will sound.
Note: The air conditioning compressor, pumps and fans may run at any time,
even when the vehicle is OFF, to cool or warm the high voltage battery.
CONDITIONS FOR THE ENGINE STARTING
When the vehicle power is ON, the engine may start, when
necessary for operating conditions, to provide power or to charge
the high voltage baery. Conditions that may cause the engine to
start include:
• High voltage baery charge is low
• Aggressive driving that demands additional power or
acceleration
• Cold ambient temperatures (less than 32°F/0°C)
• High voltage baery temperature is hot or cold
• Vehicle speed over 78 mph while driving under electric
poweronly
• Engine or Fuel Maintenance Modes (occur only if the engine
has had very limited operation over a long period)

PLUG-IN HYBRID SYSTEM
e CT6 PLUG-IN provides the power and torque response you
demand, based on accelerator pedal input, by eciently combining
the propulsion power of the high voltage baery and high-output
2.0L turbocharged engine, and sending it to the drive wheels
through the electric variable transmission.
MAXIMUM EV OPERATION
e system works auto-
matically in real time
to provide the most
ecient use of both pro-
pulsion power sources.
When fully charged, the
high voltage baery is
the dominant propul-
sion power source and
the engine will turn on
occasionally to provide
supplemental power. e Electric Vehicle (EV) Operation Gauge
indicates when the engine will turnon.
e vehicle will operate in EV mode under light or moderate driving
conditions for approximately 30 miles and up to speeds of 78 mph.
Under aggressive acceleration, the engine will turn on to assist the
high voltage baery. e engine will turn o and EV operation will
resume once the vehicle is driven under light or moderate driving
conditions again.
HYBRID/EV OPERATION
When the high voltage baery is depleted, the engine is the
dominant propulsion power source and the high voltage baery
willprovide only supplemental propulsion power.
e Total Power Gauge
shows the current source
of power. e high volt-
age baery will store
enough energy to provide
some Hybrid/EV driving
or supplemental power.
Full EV driving can only
resume if the vehicle is
plugged in to charge.
POWER GAUGE
e Power Gauge shows the vehicle’s current total power consump-
tion from both the engine and high voltage baery. e gauge also
indicates when energy is being recaptured during regenerative
braking and coasting.
• e yellow area
indicates high

engine and/or high
voltage baery.

cates power is being
regenerated.

PLUG-IN HYBRID SYSTEM
HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY GAUGE
e Baery Gauge shows
the high voltage baery
state of charge.
When the gauge reads
empty, the vehicle should
be plugged in to charge
the high voltage baery
and toallow maximum
EVoperation again.
HYBRID SOUNDS
With its electric propulsion capability and the absence of
traditional engine noises, the CT6 PLUG-IN may produce some
unique sounds and vibrations that you may nd unfamiliar. ese
hybrid sounds and vibrations are part of the normal operation of
the vehicle.
• e pedestrian alert noise generator feature emits a “static/
hissing” sound from the front of the vehicle to help warn
pedestrians that an electric propulsion vehicle is present.
• e engine may start or stop while the vehicle is stationary or
moving based on the driver's power demand or hybrid system
automatic controls. An engine “revving” noise and a slight vibra-
tion may result.
• Climate controls may run pumps, fans and electronic parts that
may produce an audible sound or slight vibration.
• e transmission motor may produce a futuristic “whine” sound
during acceleration, coasting or braking.
• During plug-in charging, cooling fans and pumps may auto-
matically turn on/o underhood and at the rear of the vehicle.

CHANGE DISPLAY
LAYOUT
1. View the Options
page in one of the
display zones on the
cluster.
2. Press SEL to enter
the Options menu.
3. Scroll to highlight Display Layout; press SEL.
4. Each layout in the menu is represented by a small preview
image of the display layout. Scroll to highlight the desired
layout; press SEL.
5. Press the to exit the menu.

REGEN ON DEMAND
Regenerative braking takes some of the energy from the slowing
vehicle and turns it back into electrical energy, which is then stored
in the high voltage baery. Regenerative braking occurs while the
vehicle is coasting and during most braking events.
Regen on Demand allows you to increase the deceleration provided
by regenerative braking by using the tap shi controls on the back
of the steering wheel. It can be used during sporty driving and when
descending hills to slow the vehicle. It also enables one-footed driv-
ing using the accelerator pedal and the selected deceleration level.
Note: The brake pedal must be used at low speeds. Regen on Demand will
not stop the vehicle.
TEMPORARY REGEN ON DEMAND
With the shi lever in Drive (D), tap either control on the back
of the steering wheel to activate Temporary Regen on Demand.
Press and hold the right control for 2 seconds to deactivate
Temporary Regen on Demand.

PERMANENT REGEN
ON DEMAND
ere are 4 coast
deceleration levels
(M1, M2, M3, M4). M1 provides the most deceleration and M4 the
least amount. M4 and Drive (D) generate the same coast decelera-
tion levels.
1. Move the shi lever from Drive (D) to Manual Mode (M).
2. Tap the le control on the back of the steering wheel to
select more deceleration. Tap the right control to select less
deceleration.
3. Move the shi lever to Drive (D) to exit.
PROPULSION CREEP SPEED
Use Regen on Demand to also change the coasting and creep speed
of the vehicle when the accelerator pedal or brake pedal is not
applied in stop-and-go trac. Select a deceleration level from M4
(fastest) to M1 (slowest) to adjust the creep speed.

e available driver-selectable operating modes tailor the perfor-
mance of the vehicle to your preferences.

Adaptive Cruise Control allows you to select the cruise control
set speed and following gap (the time between your vehicle and a
detected vehicle).
To set the cruise control set speed and following gap, use the
controls on the le side of the steering wheel.
To switch between Adaptive Cruise Control and regular cruise
control, press and hold the Cancel buon.
When Adaptive Cruise Control is active, a green indicator
illuminates on the instrument cluster and the following gap is
displayed. When the regular cruise control is active, a green
indicator illuminates on the instrument cluster; the following gap
isnot displayed.
Note: When the vehicle is turned on, the cruise control will be set to the
last mode used before the vehicle was turned o. When using either mode,
always be prepared to apply the brakes.

e Head-Up Display (HUD) projects some operating information
onto the windshield.
Use the HUD controls, located on the le side of the instrument
panel, to adjust the position and the brightness of the image
and to select from four display views.
To adjust the angle of the HUD image to compensate for wind-
shield variations, use the Driver Information Center controls on
the right side of the steering wheel to view the Options menu
onthe instrument cluster and select HUD Rotation.

INFORMATION DISPLAYS
Several information displays are available on the infotainment sys-
tem that provide an overview of hybrid operation.
Touch the Energy icon on the infotainment home screen and
then touch the Flow, Charging, or Info icon.
POWER FLOW
e Power Flow screen
indicates the current
system operating con-
ditions, showing the
power ow between
the high voltage
baery and engine
through the transmis-
sion. e active components are highlighted.
CHARGING
e Charging screens
show the Charge Limit
and Charge Mode
status.
e Charge Limit sets
the vehicle’s charge
limit to the capabil-
ity of the charging
location. e Charge Limit seings are Maximum (12 amps) and
Reduced (8 amps).
e 3 programmable charge modes are: Immediately, Delay Charge
Based on Departure Time, and Delay (Electric Rate and Departure
Time).

CLIMATE CONTROLS REFUELING
e CT6 PLUG-IN has
a unique fuel tank and
refuel management
system.
FILLING THE
FUEL TANK
1. With the vehicle
OFF, press the
Fuel Door
buon, located on
the driver’s door.
e Wait to Refuel
message will display
on the instrument
cluster.
2. When the Ready to
Refuel message
displays, the fuel
door on the pas-
senger’s side of the
vehicle will unlock.
It will not open
automatically.
3. Press and release
the rear edge of the
fuel door; it will pop open slightly. Open the door to refuel the
vehicle.

Heated and Ventilated Front Seats – Use the seat controls,
located on either side of the climate controls, to activate and adjust
the seings. Press to heat the seatback. Press to heat the
seat cushion and seatback. Press to ventilate the seat.
Auto Heated and Ventilated Front Seats – When the vehicle
is on, the auto heated or ventilated seats will activate at the level
required by the vehicle's interior temperature. e heated or venti-
lated seat level is shown on the seat control indicators. Turn o the
heated or ventilated seats using the seat controls.
To turn the auto heated or ventilated seats feature on or o, go
to Seings > Vehicle > Climate and Air Quality.

CHARGING
CHARGING TIME
Keep the vehicle plugged in, even when fully charged, to keep the
baery temperature ready for the next drive.
Using the portable
charge cord included
with the vehicle will
take approximately
12.5hours to fully
charge a depleted
baery at the 12 amp
seing, or approxi-
mately 20 hours at the default 8 amp seing. Using a charging
station capable of 16 amps or more will take approximately 4.5
hours. Charge times will vary with outside temperature.
CHARGING MODES
e vehicle can be programmed for 3 charging modes: Immediately,
Delay Charge Based on Departure Time, and Delay (Electric Rate
and Departure Time).
1. Touch the Energy icon on the infotainment screen and then
touch the Charging icon to view the current Charge Limit and
Charge Mode status.
2. Touch the Charge Limit text or Charge Mode text to change the
seing.
LOCATION-BASED CHARGING
Charging seings can be saved for your home location. e vehicle
will automatically use these seings when parked at its “home”
location.
1. On the infotainment system, select Seings > Vehicle > Energy >
Location-Based Charging.
2. Select On.
3. Select Update Home Location and select the desired seings for
the home location.
CHARGING STATUS
e Charging Status
Indicator is located on
the instrument panel
near the windshield.
• Short ashing
green – Vehicle is
plugged in; baery
is not fully charged.
Flash rate increases
from 1 to 4 ashes
as the baery charges.
• Long ashing green – Vehicle is plugged in; baery is not fully
charged. Baery charging is in Delay Mode.
• Solid green – Vehicle is plugged in; baery is fully charged.
• Solid yellow – Vehicle is plugged in; not charging. It is normal
for the indicator to be yellow for a few seconds aer plugging in
while the charging system initializes.
• No light – Vehicle is not plugged in or there is an issue with the
charger or electrical outlet.
