12. Important Dos and Don‘ts
Dos:
To clean, wipe the outer surface only with a soft, lint-free cloth.
To avoid mechanical damage, always remove the USB stick,
ethernet cable and power cable when not in use and seal the
ports with the silicone cover tightly.
Dust and water protection are only given if the port is sealed
with the silicone cover.
Don‘ts:
Do not touch the diaphragms of the microphones! Neither with
your fingers, any sharp tools, a brush nor anything else!
The diaphragms are a very thin and sensitive Gore-Tex diaphrag-
ms. It protects the microphones and makes the SoundCam dust
and water protected according to IP54.Touching the diaphragms
can easily damage it resulting in losing the dust and water pro-
tection of your SoundCam.
Do not clean with air pressure!
Do not clean with high-pressure cleaners or other machines!
Attention:
Dust and water protection according to IP54 is only given if all
ports are sealed with their silicone covers.
