The
Latch
for
this
system
is
designed
for
use
in
standard
door
frames
(
Jamb
)
.
"
Checking
the
Latch
"
The
latch
is
the
most
important
component
to
the
CAL
"
Double
-
Bolt
"
system.
Before
you
install
any
part
of
the
system
to
your
door
jamb
or
door,
make
sure
the
latch
correctly
fits
your
door
jam
depth.
The
latch
must
fit
perfectly
in
the
door
jamb
in
relationship
to
the
height
of
the
latch
and
the
depth
of
the
door
jamb.
Check
the
depth
of
door
jamb
by
inserting
latch
into
the
door
jamb.
The
flat
drilled
section
of
the
latch
should
fit
flat
to
the
back
of
the
doorjamb.
The
leading
edge
of
the
latch
must
overlap
the
interior
wall
of
the
doorjamb
frame.
If
the
doorjamb
is
slightly
deeper
than
the
height
of
the
latch,
place
spacers
on
back
of
latch
and
re
-
check
depth.
3.8 Troubleshooting
If your original lock does not lock correctly, this may be caused by the height of the CAL latch back-plate now positioned in your door jamb. In
order to correct the problem, simply remove the original door manufactures' latch and re-install with washers placed behind the original latch. The
wash¬ers will provide additional height for your original latch and correct the problem. Due to a variety of original locks from different suppliers,
washers are not included witlrtb^€Afc-Double-Bolt locking system.
3.9 Warranty
CAL products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality and workmanship. CAL warrants to the original purchaser that the CAL Double-
Bolt lock system will operate free of manufacturing defects for a period of five (10) years from the date of purchase. This warranty is valid to the
original purchaser only and excludes product damage from misuse, improper installation and abuse of any kind. The warranty does not cover
damage to finish cause by effects of weathering, scratching or use of improper lubrication or cleaning. In the event of a claim covered by this
warranty, the purchaser must provide in writing a description of the problem, a copy of the original purchase receipt along with your name, address
and daytime phone number. CAL will replace any defective part, for installation by the original purchaser. CAL will not be liable for labor charges,
damages to doors or surfaces or any incidental or consequential damage. Purchaser accepts responsibility for suitability for installation.
4.0 Service
The CAL lock surface and latch should be cleaned with mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cloths or cleaning agents as this may scratch the lock
surface. Dry with soft cloth. Do not allow locking pins to stay wet. Lubricate locking pins with light oil, silicone or lock lubricant.

picaporte

Antes
de
instalar
cualquier
parte
del
sistema
al
marco
de
la
puerta,
asegurese
que
el
picaporte
se
ajusta
a
la
medida
del
poste
de
la
puerta.
Medir
la
profundidad
de
el
poste
del
marco
colocando
el
picaporte
en
el
poste.
La
seccion
plana
perforada
del
picaporte
debe
quedar
plana
en
la
parte
trasera
del
poste.
La
orilla
principal
del
picaporte
debe
de
quedar
sobrepuesta
en
el
interior
del
poste
del
marco
de
la
3.8 Solucion de Problemas
Si su cerradura original no cierra correctamente, esto puede ser causado por la altura de la parte trasera de el picaporte CAL que ahora esta
colocado en el marco de la puerta. Para corregir el problema, simplemente remueva el picaporte original y reinstalelo con rondanas colocadas por
detros del picaporte original. Las rondanas le proporcionaran un grosor adicional al picaporte original para corregir el problema. Debido a la variedad
de cer- raduras de diferentes proveedores, las rondanas no estan incluidas con el sistema de CAL Double-Bolt Locking.
3.9 Garantia
Los productos de CAL son fabricados con los mas altos estandars de calidad. CAL le garantiza al comprador original que el sistema de la cerradura
CAL Double-Bolt funcionara libre de defectos de fabricacion por un periodo de cinco anos a partir de la fecha de compra. Esta garantia es valida
solamente para el comprador original y excluye danos al producto por mal uso, instalacion inapropiada y abuso de cualquier indole. La garantia no
cubre danos al acabado de la cerradura causado por clima, raspaduras o el uso inapropiado de lubricantes o limpiadores. En caso de reclamo
cubierto por esta garantia, el comprador debe proveer por escrito la descripcion del problema, la copia del recibo original de compra incluyendo
nombre, direccion y numero telefonico disponible durante el dia. CAL reemplazara cualquier parte defectuosa para su instalacion por el comprador
original. CAL no asume^nmgTJrraresponsabtttdad por gastos de mano de obra, danos a puertas © superficies o ningun otromcidente a
consecuencia del dano. El comprador acepta la responsabilidad de instalacion en forma debida.
4.0 Servicio
La superficie de la cerradura y el picaporte CAL debe ser limpiada con un detergente ligero, evite usar productos de limpieza, telas o franelas que
contengan agentes abrasivos ya que esto podria rayar la superficie de la cerradura. Seque la superficie con una tela suave. No permita que los
pernos queden mojados. Lubrique los pernos con aceite ligero, silicon o lubricante para cerraduras.
