Registering the watch
Remember! The device requires inserting a valid SIM card with no PIN lock and at
least 100MB/month Internet data plan to work properly.
New User
If you already have a CALMEAN account, go to the Existing User section
Registration via the web-based Control Panel
1) Go to www.calmean.pl
2) In the upper right corner, you will find the Control Panel button. Click it.
3) On the login/registration page, click the register button and fill in your information in
the form. You can also register using your Google account.
4) You have created your CALMEAN account. Now you can connect the watch to the
system. To do this, enter the unique watch ID in the indicated place. The ID is
located on the box that your watch was shipped in.

5) Now, configure the basic information in the watch: the profile name, under which you
will be visible in your Control Panel, and the phone number and e-mail address of the
main contact. You can also configure an additional emergency contact now in the
same manner, although it is not required. You can learn more about emergency
numbers in the SOS button subsection in the Watch section.
6) These were all the steps required to configure CALMEAN Child Watch. You can now
hand it over to your child. In the Control Panel and in our app, you will find tabs for
watch control and checking basic activity information. You will learn more about them
in the Control Panel and CALMEAN Control Center App sections.
While you are doing this, you can sign up for a full subscription, under which we will
automatically charge a monthly fee and you won't have to worry about it.

Registration via Calmean Control Center
1) Download the Control Center app from Google Play or click the link on our
website www.calmean.com
2) On the login/registration screen, select new account registration and fill in the
form, or register using your Google account.
3) Now click the add device button. It is marked with a + symbol and is located in
the upper left part of the screen.
4) Select the add new CALMEAN device option.
5) In the indicated place, enter the unique ID number of the watch and create a
profile name, under which the watch will be visible in the system. The ID is
located on the box that your watch was shipped in.
6) Now, fill in the contact information of emergency numbers (information for the
main number is required, the second emergency number is optional).
7) These were all the steps required to configure CALMEAN Child Watch. You
can now hand it over to your child. In the Control Panel and in our app, you
will find tabs for watch control and checking basic activity information. You will
learn more about them in the Control Panel and CALMEAN Control Center
App sections.

Existing User
Start with this step if you already have a CALMEAN account
Registration via the web-based Control Panel
1) Go to www.calmean.pl
2) In the upper right corner, you will find the Control Panel button. Click it.
3) On the login/registration page, fill in in the form and click Login. You can also login
using your Google account.
4) Next, go to the Account Settings tab, located in the upper right corner of the Control
Panel
5) Now go to the Add Device tab.
6) Connect the watch to the system by entering its
unique ID number in the indicated place. The ID is
located on the box that your watch was shipped in.

7) Now, configure the profile name under which the watch will be visible in your Control
Panel. If you already have a CALMEAN account, but you have not configured any
devices before, simply fill in the empty emergency number fields. If you have defined
emergency contacts after registering other devices, they will be displayed in the
relevant fields. Remember that you can only modify the information of emergency
numbers in the Settings → Profiles tab.
You can learn more about emergency numbers in the SOS button subsection in the
Watch section.
8) These were all the steps required to configure CALMEAN Child Watch. You can now
hand it over to your child. In the Control Panel and in our app, you will find tabs for
watch control and checking basic activity information. You will learn more about them
in the Control Panel and CALMEAN Control Center App sections.

Registration via Calmean Control Center
1) Download the Control Center app from Google Play or click the link on our
website www.calmean.pl
2) On the login/registration screen, select log-in and fill in the form, or login using
your Google account.
3) Now click the add device button. It is marked with a + symbol and is located in
the upper left part of the screen.
4) Select the add new CALMEAN device option.
5) Enter the unique watch ID in the indicated place. The ID is located on the box
that your watch was shipped in.
6) Now, fill in the contact information of emergency numbers (information for the

have defined this information previously, it will be displayed in the relevant
fields. Remember that you can only modify the information of emergency
numbers in the Settings → Profiles tab in the Control Panel at
www.calmean.pl.

Watch
In this section, you will find information
about using the buttons on the watch
and about its integrated features.
● Turning the watch on
○ In order to turn the watch on, press and hold Button 1.
○ If the watch has been registered and has a SIM card inserted (it connects to
the system), holding Button 1 will not result in turning the watch off (it is a
measure preventing the child from turning the watch off by him- or herself).
○ Button 1 allows you to switch the screen on or off when you want to use the
device.
● Charging the watch
○ In order to charge the watch's battery, open the microUSB port and connect
the charger.
● SIM card and ID number
○ The ID number of the watch is printed on the box.
○ In order to reach the SIM card, remove the cover on the side of the watch.
Press the card to remove it from the device.
○ You have to insert SIM card to make the watch work properly.
● Time and date
○ The display of the watch automatically shows the synchronised time. You do
not have to set the right time, the watch will do it itself.
○ The day of the week and the date are displayed below.

● Top bar information
○ The top part of the screen constitutes the so called information bar. The right
hand side indicates the battery level, the left hand side displays the GSM
signal strength.
○ Wi-Fi and GPS network icons may also appear (it means the watch is sending
its location to the system).
● Emergency call
○ In order to make an emergency call to the main emergency contact, press
and hold Button 1.
● Contact list
○ In order to go to the contact list, click the relevant icon (swipe your finger left
once on the screen).
○ Select a number from the list and click it.
○ In order to exit the contact list, click the telephone receiver icon in the middle
of the screen.
○ Only numbers from the contact list can reach the watch, others will hear the
busy signal.
● Telephone call
○ In order to answer incoming calls, press the green receiver button.
○ In order to reject the call, press Button 1.
○ Use the buttons displayed on the screen to adjust the volume level during
calls.
○ In order to hang up, press Button 1.

Control panel functions
This section describes the individual tabs
in the Control Panel, and their assigned
watch control functions
● Maps
○ History of
locations
This tab contains
the map with a
precise location of
your child marked.
In order to provide
as accurate tracking
data as possible, the
watch uses the GPS
network - in this
case, the location is
indicated as a
yellow pin on the map. If the GPS is unavailable, the location can also be
determined using mobile network (LBS) and WiFi network transmitters. In this
case, the area where your child is located will be represented as a grey circle.
The map also displays the movement history as a path. By default, the watch
updates the location every 2 minutes. When the child remains in one place for
a protracted period, the watch goes into sleep to save battery power and
wakes then he or she changes location. On a small-scale map, locations from
places close to one another are merged into a single point, which is divided
into smaller ones when the map is zoomed.
You can also browse archive data from previous days by selecting a date in
the calendar at the top of the screen.
○ All profiles
This tab contains the current location of all your devices. In order to make it
easier for you to find your devices we also present your location on the map

● Contacts
○ Contact list
The Special Contacts section displays the phone numbers of the two
emergency contacts. This information can be modified by going to Account
Settings → Profiles. The guardians' profiles are located at the bottom of the
page.
The Additional Contacts section are the other phone numbers that can be
saved in the watch's contact list. You can define up to 8 numbers. Here you
can add new contacts (after clicking the Add contact button, simply enter the
phone number and name that will be displayed in the system and watch in the
appropriate places). You can also remove and freely modify each contact
(next to each number, you will find two buttons: "edit" and "delete").

● Zones
This tab allows you to manage safety zones.
You can freely create, modify and delete zones
in which your child should be present
at the moment
○ List
This is the list of previously created zones. Next to each one, you will find its
name, hours and dates when it is active, and its radius. You can freely edit
every zone, and use the slider to turn it on and off without the need to delete
it. In the bottom of the page, you will also find the add new zone button.
○ Creating a zone
You can go to this tab by clicking the
Add New Zone button below the
existing zone list. There you can set
up a new zone
and manage its parameters. Here
you can define:
■ zone name
■ zone centre (by selecting a
point on the map displayed to
the right of the form)
■ zone radius
■ zone activity time
■ days of the week when the
zone is active
■ rules for zone functioning
(leaving the zone, entering or
not entering the zone, sound
alarm while leaving the zone,
muting the device in the
zone)

● Activities history
Here, all notifications sent by the watch are collected: leaving safe zone, failure to
arrive at safe zone, battery low, SOS button pressed. Every warning has its of date,
type of activity and content.
● Profile settings
○ Notifications types
This tab allows you to manage how you will receive notifications from the
watch. You can receive notifications by text messages to the emergency
numbers, by e-mail to the caretakers' accounts, and by sending notifications
to a phone with the CALMEAN Control Center app installed. Regardless of
the selected notification methods, they will always be collected in the
Activities → Warnings tab.
○ Device details
Here you can find the phone number and ID of your device

● Alarms
Here you can manage the active alarms in the child's watch. You can have up to 3
alarms defined at the same time. You can set up new alarms by clicking the "Add
Wake-up" button and filling the form (name, time and days of the week when the
alarm should ring). Using the slider to the right, you can activate and deactivate the
alarm without the need to delete it, while the "Edit" button allows you to modify the
parameters of the given alarm.
● Account settings
This section controls the entire account. Modifications made herein affect
all device profiles assigned
to the CALMEAN account
○ Profiles
List of registered profiles. Next to each, you will find: device type (child watch
or phone), profile name (if you want to change the profile name, click it and
enter a new one, it will be saved automatically), licence expiration date,
licence type, and a licence renewal button.

Additionally, for CALMEAN watches, notice the "Purchase minutes" column
on the right hand side. If the watch runs out of minutes for outgoing calls, you
can purchase additional ones by pressing the "Purchase" button".
Below the device list, the Caretaker Profiles section is located. Here you can
manage emergency contact information, such as phone numbers and e-mail
addresses.
○ Settings
This tab allows you to define the PIN for the CALMEAN Parental Control app
in child mode. It is a code that locks access to the app on the child's phone,
so that he or she can not modify the settings.
You can also change the account password. To this end, click the relevant
button, which will send an e-mail with a password change link.
You can also select one of three language versions: Polish, English and
Spanish. In order to make a change, simply click the desired language.

○ Add device
Here you can register another CALMEAN Child Watch. The registration
process is described in the Watch registration → Existing user section.
● Other Control Panel elements
○ Profile center
In the upper part of the site, next to the CALMEAN logo, is the profile center.
The profile name you are currently in is displayed there. If you want to
manage another profile, click and
select the right name from the list.
○ Remaining minutes indicator
Below the profile center is the indicator
of remaining outgoing call minutes of
the currently displayed profile. Next to
it you will find the "Purchase" button, which allows you to purchase additional
minutes for this device.
○ Logout
In the upper part of the page, on the right hand side, you will find the Logout
button. It will log you out of the CALMEAN account and transfer you to the
login screen.

CALMEAN Control Center app
This section describes the CALMEAN Control Center app,
used to manage your CALMEAN account
and the registered device profiles.
The installation, registration and login process is described in previous sections.
● Home screen
This screen displays a list of devices registered on your
CALMEAN account. Here you can check:
○ The last registered device location
○ How long ago the child's position was last
updated
○ If the licence remains valid (you can renew it
using an appropriate button)
○ Device type (child watch or phone)
○ Silent listening icon, used to make silent calls to
the watch, which will automatically answer without
emitting a sound signal.
And:
○ By clicking the given profile, you can reach the control
panel
○ Share the app with your friends and family so they can
start using it as well, by clicking the share icon in the
top left corner of the screen
○ Add a new device by clicking the "+" button

○ Actions
Check when and what type of notification was sent by the child's
device:

○ Location

Here you can manage the contact list available in the watch.
After clicking the given contact, you will be transferred to the
contact edit window, where you can change its name and
number. You can also delete a contact with the button on the
left hand side, or add a new one using the "+". Accept the
changes using the "submit" button.

■ Alarms
Here you can view the list of active alarms. After clicking one
of them, you will be transferred to the edit screen, where you
can find its name and time of activation. You can delete an
alarm with the button on the left hand side, or add a new one
using the "+". Accept the changes by clicking "submit".
■ Zones
List of defined zones. Using the
slider on the right hand side, you can
activate or deactivate a zone without
the need to delete it. By clicking a
specific zone, you will be transferred
to the edit window, while by clicking
"+", you set up a new zone. Accept
the changes by clicking "Save".
