Dear Valued Consumer:
Logan Outdoor Products, LLC d/b/a Camp Chef, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is
sending you the enclosed replacement regulator for your Camp Stove Model MSHP or MSGG with component gas regulators date
coded “1923” through “2030”. Our records indicate that you are an owner of one of these affected camp stoves.
Description: This recall involves portable Camp Stove Models MSHP and MSGG with component gas regulators date coded
“1923” through “2030”. The Model name is located on the manufacturers label on the stove. The gas regulator date code is
engraved on the regulator.
Hazard: An internal part of the gas regulator component may have a burr that may wear or tear a hole in the seal causing gas to
leak out of the top of the regulator and potentially catch fire.
Instructions: Please destroy and discard the regulator included with your stove and replace with the included regulator. See
below instructions for destroying the original regulator.
Warning: Read and follow all instructions in the product instruction manual included with the stove for removing and
assembling the gas regulator to the stove and fuel supply and performing the required leak tests prior to igniting the stove.
Regulator Removal Instructions:
1. Turn all valves on the stove to the off position by turning clockwise to a full stop and make sure all flames are extinguished.

2. Remove disposable propane cylinder from the regulator by turning counter-clockwise.
3. Remove regulator from stove by turning threaded fitting attaching to the stove counter-clockwise.
MSGG/MSHP Regulator Disposal Instructions: Please destroy and discard of the original regulator by removing the gas pipe
from regulator and disposing of both pieces.
WARNING
• Do not use appliance until leak checked. Leak check should be performed using a 50/50 mixture of mild soap and water. Do
not use household cleaning agents. Use a paint brush to brush soapy solution onto all indicated areas.
• If you cannot stop a gas leak, immediately close LP tank valve and call LP gas supplier or your fire department!
WARNING
Appliance must be leak checked outdoors in well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources such as gas fired or electrical
appliances. During leak test, keep appliance away from open flames or sparks.

Regulator Installation and setup:
1. Turn all valves to the off position.

2. Remove plastic cap from top of propane cylinder. Screw propane cylinder clockwise into regulator. Hand tighten only.
3. Check the connection between the cylinder and the regulator with soapy water. Bubbles indicate a leak. Check that the
connection is tight. Perform another leak check. If there is still a leak, remove the cylinder and contact the manufacturer for
service or repair, 1-800-650-2433.
Leak Test

4. The regulator uses a threaded fitting to attach to the stove. It is necessary to hold the stove to make sure the fitting is seated.
Align the regulator to the fuel tube on the stove and push on. Screw on the outer threaded sleeve in a clockwise direction until
tight.
5. Check the connection between the stove and regulator with soapy water. Bubbles indicate a leak. Check that the connection
is tight. Perform another leak check. If there is still a leak, remove the cylinder and contact the manufacturer for service or
repair, 1-800-650-2433.
LEAK TEST
6. Never operate stove with propane cylinder in an inverted position.
