Fitting Instructions Fridge Fans
1. Safety First! Ensure all power sources
have been switched off to the Van/RV
and fridge 12v, 24v and 240v.
(Note: if the fridge is running on gas
make sure it is switched off and the gas
has been isolated before starting.)
2. Remove the external fridge vents both
top and bottom of the Van/RV taking care
not to damage the retaining clips. Check
that the insulation on top of the fridge
hasn’t slipped and is covering the fridge
fins or slipped down the back of the
fridge.
(Figure 1)
3. Position the fans on the back and centre
to the top vent, with the LED light ring
facing into the fridge cavity and the
Campbitz stickers facing outwards from
the Van/RV.
(Figure 2)
4. Attach the fans to the vent using
supplied cable ties, take care not to
overtighten the cable ties just nip up
firm, not super tight as it may warp your
vent out of shape.
Secure the fan cable to the vent using
supplied cable tie, ensure it is on the
same side as the compact digital
controller. Making sure it is placed on
the opposite side away from the gas
burner flue.
(Figure 3)

5. Gently feed the fan power cable down
the side of the fridge cavity until it is
visible at the bottom of the cavity. Apply
the stick-on mount to the side of the
cavity, at the top and loosely tie it up with
cable tie. Holding the fan lead off any
fridge components.
(Figure 1)
Gently pull the slack down and re-fit the
top vent. Check the locking clips have
been secured. (Warning; Ensure the
power cable is on the opposite side to
the gas burner flue if not the gas burner
flue will damage the cable.)
(Figure 4)
6. Find a suitable position to fit the compact
controller. Ideally your controller will be
placed in a position that is, easily
accessible with the ability to see the LED
display and make adjustments to the
temperature settings if required. (cable
ties have been supplied if required,
alternatively you can bond/Velcro it to
the side wall of the cavity.)
(Figure 5)
7. Connect the fan power wires to the
controller with the fitted connectors
supplied, bunch up the loose wires with
a cable tie, ensuing they are out the way.
Utilise supplied cable ties and stick on
mount if required.
(Figure 6)
8. The waterproof temperature probe
(attached to the controller), needs to be
connected to the bottom outlet tube of
the absorption tank. Secure with
supplied black cable tie, trim the tail off
then wrap aluminium tape around for a
more accurate reading.

12V Electrical Connections
Safety First! Ensure the power has
been isolated prior to connecting the
Digital Temperature Controller. (If unsure
of connections refer your instillation onto a
qualified professional).
9. Connect the Digital Controller power
leads to a constant 12vDC power supply
when the van is running on 12V or mains
power supply DC/DC Charger. The wires
can be trimmed to the desired length, if
additional length is required, additional
wire can be added ensuring the RED
wire is connected to the positive (+) and
the Black wire is connected to the
negative (-) of the power supply.
An inline switch can be added if the van
is stored connected to 240V supply and
the fridge is switched off.
10. Your FridgeM8 Digital Controller has
been pre-set to start at 45⁰cand stop at
40⁰cto get the best performance out of
your fridge –in hotter or cooler areas,
this may need to be adjusted to suit.
Adjust the settings by pressing the up
or down white arrows on the front of the
controller.
Once you have selected your settings
and the LED’s have stop flashing it will
lock in the new pre-set temperatures.
Note; the Start temperature must be set
higher than the Stop temperature for it
to work.
11. That’s it! All done - Switch on 12V
power and check the controller LED’s
light up.
All FridgeM8 Fridge Fan Kits are pre-set
and fully tested prior to shipping –if you
wish to check the fans do come on use a
hair dryer to gently and slowly heat up
the temperature probe to about 50⁰c the
fans will start and stop when the
temperature drops below the stop
setting.
12. Carefully re-fit the fridge vents and
ensure they have been locked in place
correctly and the locking clips are
secure. Don’t forget to slip the sticker
on the vent to let everyone know you
