1. Overview
The MimicsLT is a small device that enables you to connect an external compatible resistive or
capacitive touchscreen to any Android stick/TV box. With the added unctionality o a multimedia
inter ace, the MimicsLT is only device you will need or interacting with your Android device.
Here what these Android devices typically look like.
The great thing about these devices is that they can be quite cheap and easily updateable/upgradable
unlike conventional embedded "built in" Android systems. The MimicsLT uses a unique USB
connection to be able to connect to the target device.

work with a smaller screen you will need to enter calibration mode. But by de ault, touching
the screen should yield some touch activity.
• Enter calibration mode by pressing the button on the MimicsLT board or about 5 seconds
until a red light starts lashing (see ig 1)
• Press each o the 4 points on the edges o the screen ( or about 1 second) in sequence as

Our touch adapters allow various touchscreens to be connected. Here is a couple examples o how to
connect them.
Our 7" Capacitive Generic 4-wire resistive
*Note: Our capacitive touchscreen adapters have connections to match speci ic touchscreens. Do not
attempt to plug in a touchscreen that is not supported into any o the connections as damage to the
unit can result! This is not issue when using a 4-wire touchscreen as we support all o those.
Our 7" touchscreen must plug
into the "CA" connection.

5. Optional multimedia interface
Not only does the MimicsLT give you touchscreen control o your Android device, but i you connect it
to a standard 3.5mm resistive steering wheel/media inter ace you will be able to expand the
unctionality o the module. Here's an example o how enable this unctionality.
Enabling multimedia interface
Simply connect a 3.5mm steering wheel inter ace to instantly enable multimedia unction to the
android device. Currently the de ault protocol or the inter ace in SONY. Any Sony compatible
inter ace will work as de ault without anything needing to be set.
Some o the multimedia unctions are as ollows:
• Play/Pause
• Volume +/-
• Track >>/<<
• Android Home/back
I you require additional media unctions please let us know and we will do our best to add support or
it.
*Note: I you are planning to use the media unctions in a vehicle you car might have a CAN-BUS
inter ace. I this is the case you can use a CAN-BUS to resistive inter ace and set the output to SONY
mode.
*Tip: Brie ly pressing the button on the MimicsLT board will also trigger a "Home"/"Back" sequence to
the Android device. (Will be implemented shortly)
