3. Set-up Instructions
3.1 Unpacking and Unfolding
a) The place of set-up should be flat to provide best stableness for the tent. It should be most possibly clean,
too. No loose things on the ground, in order to avoid damage to the tent.
b) If applicable spread protection ground sheet.
c) Take out tent of the packing bag and unfold it.
d) Spread it out.
3.2 Inflation
a) Take off protective cap of the in- and deflation valves by turning anticlockwise.
b) Check if valve is closed. The valve inside must be even with the valve surface.
c) Close opened valve by pushing down and turning the valve tappet clockwise.
d) Fill the tent tube system, refer to 3.2.1, 3.2.2 or 3.2.3.
e) Adjust tent by pulling ground loops.
Note: always put on protective valve-caps after inflation process and fix it by turning it clockwise.
3.2.1 Using the Hand-Pump
a) Place hand-pump in pressure position.
b) Put conic ending of the pump hose into the in- and deflation valve opening of the first tube. Pump until
pressure is reached.
c) During inflation process the tubes must be lifted by hand a little bit.
Information: The pressure itself is not enough to build-up the tent.
A second person must lift the tent tubes, see pic. 2.

d) The final pressure is reached when the pressure relief valve opens. The pressure-relief-valve is located
diagonal across the in- and deflation valve.
3.2.2 Using the Electrical Blower
a) Prepare electrical blower according to the manual of the electrical blower.
b) Connect the hose of the electrical blower to the in- and deflation valve and fill the tube system.
c) If the tube system fills considerably, you can help the tent getting up. When the first arc has
reached its final shape go into the tent and lift up the other arcs by hand. This extends the lifespan of
your tent.
d) The maximum pressure of the electrical blower of 0.3 bar is less than the opening pressure of the relief
valve. This is why the relief valve usually doesn’t open. Using the electrical blower longer than needed
for the inflation process may cause overheating (maximum 1 minute). Avoid overheating!
3.2.3 Using the Air-Pressure-kit and the Compressed Air Cylinders
a) Take off the dummy plug from the compressed air cylinder.
b) Fix the pressure reducer to the compressed air cylinders.
c) Put the pressure adapter together as shown in the picture.
Fig. 1: Mounted compressed air kit with identification
of parts (for ARZ 10-20, ARZ 204)
Fig. 2: Mounted compressed air kit with 2
compressed air bottles (for ARZ 30, ARZ 40)
d) The end of the hose has to be connected to the adapter which is fixed at the in- and deflation valve of
the tent.
Caution: The hose will be under pressure. If it is not properly fixed, it might slip off during the
inflation process and cause injuries.
e) Close pressure reducer valve (little hand wheel).
f) Open bottle valve totally. The left pressure gauge shows the bottle pressure - the right pressure gauge
shows the working pressure of the pressure reducer. The working pressure has to be 8 bar. If needed
adjust the working pressure to this value by turning the adjustment screw at the bottom.
g) Now open the pressure reducer valve (little hand wheel) to fill the tube system.
h) If you use more than one cylinder, check all the working pressures before you open the pressure
reducer valves one after the other.
i) As soon as the pressure relief valve of the tent opens or the cylinders are almost empty, close the
cylinder valve in order to prevent the total emptying of the bottle.
j) Take off the pressure hoses and replace the pressure reducer at the cylinder with a dummy plug.
3.3 Final Work to Do
a) Fix tent with T-pegs 30cm to the ground.
b) Fasten guy ropes with T-pegs and tighten them.
3.4 Important Information
a) Avoid punctual weight and sharp things on the groundsheet.

b) When there are first signs of low pressure of the tube system start refilling according to inflation process
3.2.
c) Check guy ropes regularly and tighten again if needed.
d) When you assume that a tube is leaky, lather the tube in order to locate the leaky spot. Repair
according to No. 5.
e) Snow loads have to be removed immediately.
3.5 Ground fixation with Ballast Tanks
If it is not possible to fasten the tent to the ground with pegs, it can be fixed with 2 ballast tanks which will be
attached lengthwise.
a) Spread out both ballast tanks lengthwise at the sides of the tent and place them on the broad ground
skirting flaps in such a way, that the attachment points for the guy ropes point outward, away from the
tent.
b) Fill the tanks with water.
c) Attach the guy ropes with the karabiner to the attachments points at the ballast tanks which are on the
outside. So in case of hard winds the ballast tanks are pulled towards the tent and give extra security.
d) Tension the guy ropes.
e) The dismantling takes place in the opposite way. Before drying sqeeze out the remaining water as
much as possible, then hang-up the tank with open lids. Poor out the remnant water if necessary.
f) You may also use the fan for drying the tank inside.
3.6 Connecting Tents
a) Build-up two tents.
b) If necessary, carry the first tent into the final position. Pulling the tent above the ground may damage
the ground sheet or even the inflatable system.
c) Place the second tent with its entrance-to-use in front of the first tent’s entrance-to-use.
d) Open the entrances completely.
e) Conjoin the Velcro of the outer connecting flap from the inside with the Velcro of the outer flap of the
second tent. A person outside may assist you.
f) Pull the second tent carefully away from the first one to tighten the connection. So you avoid water
pockets.
g) Install the rain gutter by fixing it by Velcro to the small inner flaps. Make sure the rain gutter is centred.
h) Finally push the long ends of the rain gutter outside underneath the connecting flaps for the rainwater to
drain outside.

4. Deflation and Packing of the Tent
4.1 Deflation
a) Take out everything of the tent.
b) Take especially care of little stones, loose chippings and peaky objects.
c) Press down and turn anticlockwise in- and deflations valves to open them. The air needs about 5 to 10
minutes to exhaust.
d) Exhaust the air properly with the hand-pump or electrical blower.
4.2 Folding and Packing
a) Spread out tent roof even and flat.
b) Loosen all fixtures. Lay cords on the tent.
c) Collect all pegs, clean and pack them.
d) Fold the tent. Depending on the desired packed dimensions the way of folding changes. Generally the
tent should be folded in the same way as it was folded originally.
e) Clean the tent as much as possible during folding.
f) Start at the back side. Roll in tent and squeeze out the remaining air with your knees.
g) Fold up the front part of the tent, lay out packing bag and fold back.
h) Go on rolling the tent in the same direction on the packing bag.
i) Close valves and put on protective caps, close the buckles of the bag.
j) Pack all accessories.

5. Care and Repair Instructions
Extensive information concerning care and repair you will find in the “Manual – Care and Repair of Inflatable
Tents” which you can order from LANCO in case of need.
5.1 General Information
Never pack the tent when it is humid or dirty! If on site the tent can only be packed wet it will have to be dried
immediately afterwards!
Store a tent only totally dry.
5.2 Cleaning
Only take common gentle cleaning soap.
a) Cleaning all textile parts with tepid, gentle soap-water and use a soft sponge. Always rinse with clear
water completely and let it dry in the air. Please read and act according to cleaning advises for the
fabric when you cannot remove dirt this way.
b) Clean dirty in- and deflation valves and relief valves the same way as above. In case that a valve is not
airtight anymore, please follow step 5.4.
5.3 Repairing of Holes and Fissures
Repairing of holes and fissures at the tent frame, groundsheet or roof can be done with the included repair set
according to its instructions.
5.4 Valve Check
Isn’t a valve airtight anymore, may be dirt under the gasket, which can removed as described:
a) Exhaust all air
b) Fill valve with warm soap-water
c) Press valve tappet: in- and deflation valve from the front, the relief valve must be pressed from the back
through the tube right in the middle.
d) The soap-water should flow into the tube.
e) Fill tube until the valve opens definitely. Check in- and deflation valve if they are tight.
f) If the valve still not working properly, it probably needs to be change.
6. Storage
The most important thing storing a tent is that the tent is dry and clean!
When a tent is stored wet or even humid mould will develop. It takes less than 48 hours under humid and warm
conditions to have mould growing on the fabric. And the mould doesn’t only develop on the outside of the fabric
where it may be washed away, the mycelium penetrates also into the PVC-coated fabric.
Mould can cause serious health problems like asthma or allergy to the point of a possible anaphylactic shock.
For this reason mould stains should never be disregarded. The manufacturer rejects any responsibility
concerning mould on the tent. The products leave our shop in the highest quality and without any harmful
substances.
So always make sure the tent is checked before storage, cleaned if necessary according to chapter 5.2 and
dried totally.

6.1 Check before Storage
Generally all items have to be checked if they are clean, dry, undamaged and complete.
6.1.1 Check of Tent Skin
It is advisable to inspect visually the whole textile material.
a) Are there any cuts, holes abrasions, openings? Are there open seams? Does the tent skin and flooring
need some repair work?
b) Are there any stains from grass, oil, ballpoint pens, ketchup etc. that need to be cleaned?
c) Is there any sharp object inside that may damage the tent skin or air beam system?
d) Check all the moving parts like zippers by opening and closing them paying attention to broken or
corroded parts.
e) Are the tents in the right packing bags? Check the bags visually for any damage.
6.1.2 Check of the Inflatable System
f) Does the air beam system need any cleaning? Are there any holders broken off?
g) Is the inflatable system still airtight? Check by inflating it and let stand for approx. 24 hours. This check
can be done during the necessary drying time after cleaning.
h) Inflate the air beams properly.
i) Refill after 1 hour, because then the fabric has stretched and the internal pressure decreased. Take the
internal pressure with a gauge or a water column.
j) After 24 h measure the internal pressure with the same method and compare it to the initial pressure. If
there is a difference in pressure of more than 20% try to locate the leaky spot according to chapter 5.5
and 5.6.
6.1.3 Inspection of Accessories
k) Make sure to count the accessories. Please refer to the table in chapter one or the labelling on the bag
for the correct quantity. If there is something missing the spare parts from the repair kit may be helpful
or identify and order the missing items with the illustrated spare parts list.
l) Clean the accessories if necessary.
6.2 Storage Conditions
Ideally store the tent in a stock where the surrounding temperature is 15 – 25 °C and the air humidity is 40 – 65
%. The store should have a good air circulation and at the same time shouldn’t allow vermin to come in.
All items should always be stored in their own packing bag:
a) They bags are designed to protect the content in the best way possible.
b) The bags are labelled so you can easily find and take out what you want.
c) The storage volume is reduced as much as possible.
d) Nothing can get lost during storage and everything is complete for set-up.
6.3 Stackability
It is possible to place one tent above the other or to put the accessories on top of the tent’s bag.
a) Always pay attention not to damage the packing bags.
b) Keep in mind to store the most sensitive packs on top.
c) Make sure no item can fall down during transport or storage condition. It may hurt somebody, damage
itself or another thing.
The manufacturer rejects any responsibility for any incident related to storage.
