Power

The Staonary CorrReader performs an

inializaon sequence conrming the baery

level, SD card presence and valid programming. The GPS

then acquires satellites. When GPS locked and synchronized, the Staonary

CorrReader goes to Measurement Screen. If an error is encountered, a text

message will display on the screen.

Measurement Screen

The Staonary CorrReader obtains a GPS lock and

synchronizaon before displaying the Measurement

Screen, also all 3 LED’s will blink green. The Measurement

Screen displays the OFF, ON and AC readings along with

the local me and baery level.

At this me the 3 LED’s will turn o and remain o. The Staonary CorrReader

automacally begins capturing data and can now be le unaended.

Lights

There are three LED’s on the face that blink. The colour of the LED indicates

dierent operaonal states.

Staonary CorrReader’s LED’s do not stay on during unaended measurement to

conserve power. The LED’s are only acve during power-up and GPS acquision.

Field Use

Connect the black terminal/lead to a Cu/CuSO4 reference cell. Connect the red

terminal/lead to the pipe or test staon.

Turn the Staonary CorrReader on and wait for

the start-up checks and measurement screen

to appear. For proper cathodic protecon, the

reading should be negave; if posive, check

your wiring and/or recer output.

Do NOT survey during thunderstorms,

lightning may cause injury to personnel and/or

damage to the Staonary CorrReader.

Limited Warranty

All Cathodic Technology Limited (Cath-Tech) instruments and equipment are warranted against defects in

materials, design or workmanship for a period of two years from date of sale. This warranty excludes

damage due to misuse, abuse, tampering or acts of God such as res, oods, wind damage, lightning etc.

We will repair or replace at our opon any defecve component, aer examinaon in our manufacturing

facility, if the fault is due to defecve materials or labour, within two years of the purchase date. For war-

ranty repair, a Returned Goods Authorizaon (RGA) must be obtained from Cathodic Technology Ltd prior

to shipping the defecve unit pre-paid to our locaon.

Note: There is no warranty expressed or implied on baeries.

Cath-Tech Policy

Cath-Tech extends a two-year in use warranty on all units, which have been designed and/or manufactured

by Cath-Tech sta. Under normal circumstances there is no need to access the interior of the unit. To do so

without prior Cath-Tech approval will void any and all warranes.

Cath-Tech reserves the right to make any changes in design or specicaon which it deems an improve-

ment, with no liability to make the same changes on exisng equipment.

This warranty is in lieu of all other warranes or guaranes, expressed or implied, which might otherwise

exist. The purchaser is relying only upon this guarantee and not upon any representaons not herein

expressed.

Any material or equipment being returned to the factory must rst have a Returned Goods Authorizaon

(RGA) from Cath-Tech.

Staonary CorrReader uses a MicroSD card to store programmed sengs and

data which must be installed for the CorrReader to funcon. To access the data,

turn the Staonary CorrReader on and connect to the computer with a USB

cable. The SD card will appear as a drive on the computer and les can be copied

o and on to the card.

The SD card contains three types of les, a conguraon le, calibraon le and

data les.

Conguraon File

CFG.TXT contains the programmed sengs. These can

be changed & saved in the same text le. If the le is

accidentally deleted, the Staonary CorrReader will

create another one with the last good sengs the next me it is turned on. The user must

set the same cycle/program the interrupters are set to.

Troubleshoong

Data Files

DATA####.CSV contains the survey data. A new data le is created every me

the CFG.TXT is changed. The le header contains informaon on the Staonary

CorrReader (serial number, etc) and cycle sengs.

USB Port

The USB port is located on the outside of the case, near the terminals. Use a

MiniB USB cable, 2m long maximum. The USB port provides access to the SD

card memory and charges the baery. For computer communicaon or charging

the Staonary CorrReader must be powered ON.

A dust cover is aached to the case to protect the USB port from dust, dirt, sand,

etc. under normal use. Ensure the cover is properly inserted into the USB port to

prevent damage.

Baeries

CorrReader is powered by an internal lithium ion baery. Baery is charged by

the USB port, 5V 500mA input. The CorrReader must be powered ON to charge.

The CorrReader will stay on and log connuously unl the Power buon is

pressed to turn it o or the baery is discharged.

If the CorrReader is stored for extended periods, it may not turn on. Plug the

CorrReader in for 24 hours and it will begin to work again. Always fully charge

the baery before pung it in storage to prevent problems.
