CATLER RECOMMENDS SAFETY FIRST
We understand the importance of safety and that’swhy we put your safety first from the
initial design concept to the production itself. Nevertheless, please be careful and follow the
instructions below when using this appliance.
• This appliance may be used by children aged
8years and older, provided they are supervised
or have been instructed in the safe use of
the appliance and understand the potential
dangers.
• User cleaning and maintenance must not be
performed by children unless they are older
than 8 years of age and work under supervision.
• Keep the appliance and its supply out of the
reach of children under 8 years of age.
• This appliance may be used by persons with
physical, sensory, mental impairments or by
inexperienced persons, if they are properly
supervised or have been informed about how
to use of the product in asafe manner and
understand the potential dangers.
• Children must not play with the appliance.
• If the power cord is damaged, ask the
authorised service for areplacement in order
to prevent hazards. It is forbidden to use the
appliance with the power cord damaged.
• This appliance is designed for household use.
The appliance is also designed for personal

non-commercial use in areas that include, but
are not limited to the following:
– kitchenettes in stores, offices and other
workplaces;

• Do not wash the kettle or its base under
running water and do not submerge it or its
base in water or another liquid.
• If the kettle is overfilled, hot water may splash
out.
WARNING: Do not open the lid while the
water is boiling.
CAUTION: Position the lid so that the steam is
directed away from the handle.
• Use the kettle only with the supplied base. Do
not use the base with other types of appliances.
CAUTION: Make sure the appliance is
switched off before removing it from the
base.
WARNING: Avoid spilling on the plug.
• Rinse the inside of the kettle with clean
water. Follow the cleaning instructions in the
“Cleaning and Maintenance”section.

WARNING: Incorrect use may lead to injury.
• The surface of the heating element contains residual heat after use. Do not touch hot
surface.
• Before rst use, make sure that the voltage in your power socket matches the nameplate
voltage on the unit bottom. In case of any doubt, please contact aqualied electrician.
• Before operating your appliance, read all the instructions carefully and store them in
asafe place for possible future reference.
• Before using the appliance for the rst time, please remove all packaging and ad stickers
and discard them in an environmentally safe manner. Check the appliance for any
defects. Under no circumstances should you use adamaged appliance or an appliance
with adamaged power cord etc.
• To eliminate the risk of small children suocating, remove the protective cover of the
power plug from this appliance and dispose of it safely.
• This appliance has been designed only for boiling drinking water. Never use the
appliance to warm up other liquids or food. Use the appliance only for the purposes for
which it has been designed. Do not use it outdoors.
• Always put the kettle on astable, even and dry surface. Do not place the kettle on
windowsills, sink drip tray or on unstable surfaces. Do not operate the appliance on the
edge of adesktop or atable.
• Do not put the kettle on or the vicinity of any devices and equipment that generate heat.
• Never use the kettle in the near vicinity of abath, shower or swimming pool.
• Do not place the appliance near walls, curtains or other substances sensitive to heat or
steam. Please observe aminimum distance of 20 cm from such surfaces.
• Use the kettle only with the base designed for and supplied with this type of kettle.
Do not use the base supplied with this kettle for other types of kettles.
• Do not use this appliance with aprogrammable switch, timer switch or any other device
that automatically switches the appliance on.
• Always remove the kettle from its base before lling.
• When lling the kettle, make sure that the water level covers at least the minimum level
mark but doesn’t exceed the maximum level mark.
• Before turning the kettle on, make sure that the lid is closed properly. Do not open or
otherwise handle the lid while water is boiling.
• Use the handle for lifting and carrying the kettle.
• Do not put any subjects on the lid.
• Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while in operation.
• Before removing the kettle from its base, make sure that it has been turned o.
• The kettle heats up during use and may remain hot after use. Therefore, take extra care to
avoid burns or injuries.
• Take great care to avoid scalding with boiling water or steam while pouring out water
from the kettle.
• Always turn the kettle o and unplug from the power socket if you leave it unattended, if
it’snot to be used, and before moving and cleaning.

• When disconnecting the kettle from the mains socket, always pull the plug, not the
power cord. Otherwise, damage to the power cord or the socket could occur.
• Aconnected power outlet must be easily accessible for possible sudden disconnection.
Before connecting your appliance to apower outlet and turning it on, make sure it’sfully
and correctly assembled. Follow the instructions provided in this user'smanual.
• Do not wash the kettle, base, mains cord and plug under running water and do not
immerse them in water or any other liquid.
• Do not use rough abrasive or caustic detergents to clean the appliance.
• Keep both inner and outer surface of the appliance clean. Follow the cleaning
instructions provided in this user'smanual.
• Do not store or use any explosive and/or ammable substances inside or in the vicinity of
this appliance, such as ammable gas sprays.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
• Fully unwind the power cord before use.
• Do not leave the power cord hanging over the edge of atable or counter top or allow it
to touch ahot surface or to become tangled up. Do not put heavy objects on the power
cord.
• For safety reasons, we recommend connecting the appliance in an independent electrical
circuit separated from other appliances. Do not use adapter plugs or extension cables to
connect the appliance to apower socket.
• To prevent electric shock, do not immerse the appliance, its base or the power cord in
water or other liquids.
• We recommend that you inspect the appliance regularly. Do not use the appliance if it is
damaged in any way or if the power cord or plug is defective. All repairs or adjustments
must be performed at the nearest Catler authorised service centre.
• Any maintenance other than standard cleaning must be performed at authorised Catler
service centre.
• We recommend to install aresidual current device (standard safety switches in your
power outlet) to provide ahigher level of protection when using the appliance. We
recommend to install aresidual current device (with anominal residual operating current
of no more than 30mA) in the electric circuit in which your appliance is to be connected.

USING YOUR KE 510 KETTLE
BEFORE FIRST USE
Before rst use, remove all packaging
and advertising labels/stickers from the
appliance.
Before using the kettle for the rst time, allow
the kettle to boil clean water. Fill the cattle
with clean water, bring to aboil and then
pour the water out. Repeat this procedure
3 to 4 times. The kettle is then ready for
use. Your kettle will only operate correctly if
placed on its base connected to an electric
outlet. As soon as the water boils, the kettle
will switch o automatically.
Wash the strainer in warm water with alittle
kitchen detergent, rinse and wipe dry.
USING YOUR KETTLE
To ll the kettle with water, remove it from
the base and press the button to open the
lid. Fill the kettle with the required amount
of water. Do not ll the kettle below the
minimum or above the maximum level
mark. Lack of water would lead to turning
the kettle o before boiling. If the kettle is
overlled, the boiling water might splash out.
Closed lid and make sure it’srmly secured.
Place the kettle on its base. Insert the mains
cord plug into apower socket.
Press the desired temperature button (70°C,
80°C, 90°C or 100°C) and then press the .
As soon as the water boils, the kettle will
switch o automatically. Take the kettle
from the base and pour water in cup, mug
or other container. To boil water repeatedly,
it’snecessary to wait afew seconds for the
heating element to cool down.
Do not start or use the kettle without water.
Incorrect use of the appliance may negatively
aect its lifetime.
If the kettle is not to be used, unplug the
power cord from the socket. You may store
the kettle on the base if it’snot to be used.
WARNING!
Never fill the kettle if it is
located on the base.
NOTE:
This kettle should be used only with
the supplied base. When pouring out
water from the kettle, be careful to
avoid scalding with hot water. Do not
pour water too fast.
WARNING!
THIS APPLIANCE HAS
BEEN DESIGNED ONLY FOR
BOILING DRINKING WATER. DO NOT
USE THIS APPLIANCE TO COOK OTHER
LIQUIDS OR FOODS. BEFORE TURNING
THE KETTLE ON, ALWAYS MAKE SURE
THAT THE LID IS FIRMLY CLOSED.
DO NOT OPERATE THE LID RELEASE
BUTTON WHILE THE WATER IS HEATING
OR AFTER IT HAS FINISHED HEATING.
THIS COULD CAUSE THE WATER TO
SPLASH OUT. BEFORE OPENING THE
LID, PLEASE EMPTY THE KETTLE.

PREPARATION OF TEA
When making tea, ll the water up to the
1.25 mark.
Closed lid and make sure it’srmly secured.
Place the kettle on its base. Insert the mains
cord plug into apower socket.
Press the desired temperature button (70°C,
80°C, 90°C or 100°C) and then press the .
Once the water is boiled and the kettle has
turned o, carefully turn the inner lid towards
the symbol and remove the inner lid.
Insert the tea strainer into the opening and
t the inner lid. Turn the lid to the symbol.
Let the tea infuse.
NOTE:
Dierent teas require dierent
temperatures and steeping times.
Observe the recommended
temperature and steeping time
indicated on the tea packaging.
KEEP WARM FUNCTION
This function keep the water at the same
temperature it was boiled to for one hour.
Press , press the button for the desired
temperature (70°C, 80°C or 90°C) and then
press the .
The kettle boils the water to the set
temperature and then switches to the keep
warm mode. During this time, the water will
heat up to the set temperature, so the kettle
will switch on and o.
After one hour, the kettle automatically
switches o and stops keeping the water
warm.
If you remove the kettle during the keep
warm function and return it to the base
within 3 minutes, the keep warm function
will not be interrupted. However, if you
do not return the kettle to the base within
3minutes, the kettle will switch o and stop
keeping the water warm.
NOTE:
This function is not available for
temperatures of 100°C, as boiling of
the water could cause damage to the
kettle.
PROTECTION AGAINST EMPTY
OPERATION
The kettle is equipped with asafety device
to protect it against damage by overheating
and operating with insucient amount of/
without water. If you turn the kettle on by
mistake with insucient amount of water/no
water inside, the safety device will cut o the
power supply circuit automatically and turn
the kettle o when acertain temperature
is reached. You cannot turn the kettle back
on at this moment. Allow the kettle to cool
down.
The kettle can be turned back on once it
has cooled down. The safety device will
reset automatically. In order to increase
the safety, the kettle is equipped with an
additional thermal fuse. Should the safety
device fail with subsequent overheating,
the kettle will automatically and irreversibly
turn o to prevent further damage. Should
such condition occur, please contact an
authorised service centre.

CARE AND CLEANING
Before cleaning the appliance, always
disconnect the plug of the power cord from
the mains socket and let it to cool down
properly.
WARNING!
DO NOT SPLASH WATER OR
ANY OTHER LIQUID ONTO
THE KETTLE OR ANY OF ITS PARTS OR
ACCESSORIES.
DO NOT WASH THE KETTLE, BASE,
MAINS CORD AND PLUG UNDER
RUNNING WATER AND DO NOT
IMMERSE THEM IN WATER OR ANY
OTHER LIQUID.
NOTE:
Do not use sharp objects, chemicals,
thinners, petrol or other similar
substances. Under no circumstances
clean the kettle using a steamer.
CLEANING THE OUTER CASE OF
THE KETTLE
To clean the kettle’souter surface, please use
adamp cloth; to polish, use adry cloth.
NOTE:
The base heating element is made
of high grade stainless steel. Brown
stains that may appear during use
are mineral deposits from the boiled
water. This is no corrosion in any case.
REMOVING MINERAL DEPOSITS
Tapped water may contain minerals that may
deposit inside the kettle and water gauge
and lead to colouration after some time.
To remove the deposits, proceed as follows:
Fill your kettle to 2/3 of its level with 1
portion of vinegar and 2 portions of water.
Boil the solution and leave stand in the cattle.
Empty your kettle and then boil clean water
twice. The kettle is then ready for further use.
STORAGE
make sure the kettle is turned o, cleaned
and dry before storing. Make sure the lid
is properly closed. Wrap the cord around
the bottom of the base. Store your kettle in
avertical position and never put anything on
the lid.

Dispose of used packaging material at asite designated for waste in your municipality.

VAŠE BEZPEČNOST NA PRVNÍM MÍSTĚ
Uvědomujeme si, jak důležitá je bezpečnost, aproto již od počátečního konceptu až po
samotnou výrobu myslíme především na vaši bezpečnost. Přesto vás ale prosíme, abyste při
používání tohoto spotřebiče byli opatrní adodržovali následující pokyny.
• Tento spotřebič mohou používat děti ve
věku 8let astarší, pokud jsou pod dozorem
nebo byly poučeny opoužívání spotřebiče
bezpečným způsobem arozumí případným
nebezpečím.
• Čištění aúdržbu prováděnou uživatelem
nesmějí provádět děti, pokud nejsou starší 8 let
apod dozorem.
• Udržujte spotřebič ajeho přívod mimo dosah
dětí mladších 8 let.

vaří.
UPOZORNĚNÍ: Umístěte víko tak, aby pára
směřovala od držadla.
• Používejte konvici pouze sdodávaným
podstavcem. Podstavec nepoužívejte sjinými
typy spotřebičů.
UPOZORNĚNÍ: Před sejmutím spotřebiče
zpodstavce se ujistěte, že je spotřebič
vypnutý.
VÝSTRAHA: Zabraňte polití nástrčky.

• Vnitřní prostor konvice vypláchněte čistou
vodou. Dodržujte pokyny kčištění vkapitole
„Čištění aúdržba“.
VÝSTRAHA: Při nesprávném používání hrozí
riziko možného poranění.
• Povrch topného článku obsahuje po použití zbytkové teplo. Nedotýkejte se zahřátého
povrchu.
• Před prvním použitím se prosím ujistěte, že napětí ve vaší síťové zásuvce odpovídá
napětí uvedenému na typovém štítku ve spodní části přístroje. Pokud máte jakékoli
pochybnosti, obraťte se prosím na kvalikovaného elektrikáře.
• Pečlivě si přečtěte všechny instrukce před ovládáním spotřebiče auložte je na bezpečné
místo pro možné použití vbudoucnu.
• Před prvním použitím spotřebiče odstraňte abezpečně ekologicky zlikvidujte veškerý
obalový materiál areklamní štítky. Zkontrolujte, že spotřebič není nikterak poškozen.
Vžádném případě nepoužívejte poškozený spotřebič, spotřebič spoškozeným přívodním
kabelem apod.

• Tento spotřebič byl navržen pouze pro účely vaření pitné vody. Vžádném případě
nepoužívejte spotřebič kohřevu jiných tekutin nebo potravin. Používejte spotřebič pouze
kúčelům, ke kterým je určen. Nepoužívejte ho venku.
• Konvici vždy umístěte na stabilní, rovný asuchý povrch. Neumisťujte ji na parapety oken,
odkapávací desku dřezu nebo na nestabilní povrchy. Nepoužívejte spotřebič na hraně
pracovní desky nebo stolu.
• Konvici neumisťujte na přístroje azařízení, které jsou zdrojem tepla, nebo do jejich
blízkosti.
• Konvici nikdy nepoužívejte vbezprostředním okolí vany, sprchy nebo bazénu.
• Nestavte spotřebič do blízkosti stěn, závěsů nebo jiných látek citlivých na teplo nebo
páru. Minimální vzdálenost od takových povrchů je 20 cm.
• Konvici používejte pouze spodstavcem, který je určen pro tento typ konvice akterý je
sní dodáván. Podstavec dodávaný stouto konvicí nepoužívejte pro jiné typy konvic.
• Nepoužívejte tento spotřebič sprogramátorem, časovým spínačem nebo jakoukoli jinou
součástí, která spíná přístroj automaticky.
• Před plněním vždy sejměte konvici zpodstavce.
• Při plnění konvice dbejte na to, aby hladina vody zakrývala alespoň rysku minima, ale aby
nepřesahovala rysku maxima.
• Před spuštěním konvice se ujistěte, že víko je řádně uzavřeno. Neotevírejte víko ani sním
nijak nemanipulujte, dokud se voda vaří.
• Ke zdvihnutí apřenášení varné konvice používejte rukojeť.
• Nepokládejte na víko žádné předměty.
• Nedotýkejte se spotřebiče mokrýma nebo vlhkýma rukama.
• Pokud je spotřebič vprovozu, nenechávejte jej bez dozoru.
• Před odebráním konvice zpodstavce se ujistěte, že je vypnutá.

• Konvice se během používání zahřívá amůže zůstat horká ipo ukončení používání. Dbejte
proto zvýšené opatrnosti, abyste zabránili vzniku popálenin nebo poranění.
• Při vylévání vody zkonvice dbejte zvýšené opatrnosti, aby nedošlo kopaření vroucí
vodou nebo párou.
• Konvici vždy odpojte od síťové zásuvky, pokud ji necháváte bez dozoru, pokud ji
nebudete používat, dále před přemístěním ačištěním.
• Konvici odpojujte od síťové zásuvky tahem za zástrčku, nikoli za síťový kabel. Jinak by
mohlo dojít kpoškození síťového kabelu nebo zásuvky.
• Zapojená síťová zásuvka musí být snadno dostupná pro případné náhlé odpojení. Před
připojením spotřebiče kelektrické zásuvce ajeho zapnutím zkontrolujte, že je úplně
asprávně sestaven. Dodržujte instrukce vtomto návodu kobsluze.
• Konvici, její podstavec, přívodní kabel azástrčku přívodního kabelu neomývejte pod
tekoucí vodou aneponořujte do vody nebo jiné tekutiny.
• Nepoužívejte hrubé abrazivní nebo žíravé čisticí prostředky kčištění spotřebiče.
• Udržujte vnitřní ivnější povrch spotřebiče čistý. Dodržujte instrukce očištění uvedené
vtomto návodu kobsluze.
• Vtomto spotřebiči ani jeho blízkosti neskladujte ani nepoužívejte žádné výbušné nebo
hořlavé látky, např. spreje shořlavým plynem.
DŮLEŽITÉ BEZPEČNOSTNÍ POKYNY PRO POUŽÍVÁNÍ VŠECH ELEKTRICKÝCH ZAŘÍZENÍ
• Před použitím zcela odviňte napájecí kabel.
• Přívodní kabel nenechávejte viset přes okraj stolu nebo pracovní desky, nesmí se dotýkat
horkých ploch nebo se zamotat. Nepokládejte těžké předměty na síťový kabel.
• Zbezpečnostních důvodů doporučujeme zapojit spotřebič do samostatného
elektrického obvodu, odděleného od ostatních spotřebičů. Nepoužívejte rozdvojku ani
prodlužovací kabel pro zapojení spotřebiče do síťové zásuvky.
• Abyste zabránili úrazu elektrickým proudem, neponořujte spotřebič, jeho základnu ani
přívodní kabel do vody nebo jiné tekutiny.
• Doporučujeme provádět pravidelnou kontrolu spotřebiče. Spotřebič nepoužívejte, je-li
jakkoli poškozen nebo je-li vadný napájecí kabel nebo zástrčka. Veškeré opravy je nutné
svěřit nejbližšímu autorizovanému servisnímu středisku Catler.
• Jakoukoli jinou údržbu kromě běžného čistění je nutné svěřit autorizovanému servisnímu
středisku Catler.
• Doporučujeme instalovat proudový chránič (standardní bezpečností spínače ve vaší
zásuvce), abyste tak zajistili zvýšenou ochranu při použití spotřebiče. Doporučujeme, aby
proudový chránič (se jmenovitým zbytkovým provozním proudem ne více než 30 mA)
byl instalován do elektrického obvodu, ve kterém bude spotřebič zapojen. Obraťte se na
svého elektrikáře pro další odbornou radu.
