We understand the importance of safety and that’swhy we put your
safety rst from the initial design concept to the production itself.
Nevertheless, please be careful and follow the instructions below
while using this appliance:
• This appliance may be used by children 8 years
of age and older and by persons with physical
or mental impairments or by inexperienced
persons, if they are properly supervised or
have been informed about how to use of the
product in asafe manner and understand the
potential dangers.
• Children must not play with the appliance.
• If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced
in aprofessional service centre in order to
prevent adangerous situation. It is forbidden
to use the appliance with the power cord
damaged.
• User cleaning and maintenance must not be
performed by children unless they are older
than 8 years of age and kept under supervision.
Keep the appliance and its power cord out of
children under 8.
• This appliance is designed for domestic use and
similar premises, such as:
– kitchenettes in stores, oces and other
workplaces;

– agriculture;
– guests in hotels, motels and other dwelling
locations;
– bed and breakfast businesses.
• If the electric kettle is overlled, boiling water
could splash out.
WARNING:
WHEN PLACING THE KETTLE ON AND
REMOVING FROM THE BASE, MAKE
SURE THAT THE CONNECTOR DOES
NOT COME INTO CONTACT WITH
WATER.
• Wipe the surfaces that come into contact with
food with asoft sponge slightly moistened in
clean water. Perform the cleaning in accordance
with the instructions in the Cleaning and
maintenance chapter.
WARNING:
INCORRECT USE MAY LEAD TO INJURY.
• The heating element and the kettle body
surface is hot after use due to residual heat.
Do not touch hot surface.

• Before rst use, make sure that the voltage in
your power socket matches the nameplate
voltage on the unit bottom. In case of any
doubt, please contact aqualied electrician.
• Before operating your appliance, read all the
instructions carefully and store them in asafe
place for possible future reference.
• Before using the appliance for the rst time,
please remove all packaging and ad stickers
and discard them in an environmentally safe
manner. Check the appliance for any defects.
Under no circumstances should you use
adamaged appliance or an appliance with
adamaged power cord etc.
• To eliminate the risk of small children
suocating, remove the protective cover of the
power plug from this appliance and dispose of
it safely.
• This appliance has been designed only for
boiling drinking water. Never use the appliance
to warm up other liquids or food. Use the
appliance only for the purposes for which it has
been designed. Do not use it outdoors.
• Always put the electric kettle on astable,
even and dry surface. Do not place the kettle
on windowsills, sink drip tray or on unstable

surfaces. Do not operate the appliance on the
edge of adesktop or atable.
• Do not put the kettle on or the vicinity of any
devices and equipment that generate heat.
• Never use the kettle in the near vicinity of
abath, shower or swimming pool.
• Do not place the appliance near walls, curtains
or other substances sensitive to heat or steam.
Please observe aminimum distance of 20 cm
from such surfaces.
• Use the kettle only with the base designed for
and supplied with this type of kettle. Do not
use the base supplied with this kettle for other
types of kettles.
• Do not use this appliance with aprogrammable
switch, timer switch or any other device that
automatically switches the appliance on.
• Always remove the kettle from its base before
lling.
• When lling the kettle, make sure that the
water level covers at least the minimum level
mark but doesn’t exceed the maximum level
mark.
• Before turning the kettle on, make sure that the
lid is closed properly. Do not open or otherwise
handle the lid while water is boiling.

• To lift and/or carry the electric kettle, please use
the handle.
• Do not put any subjects on the lid.
• Never touch the appliance with wet or damp
hands.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while in
operation.
• Before removing the kettle from its base, make
sure that it has been turned o.
• Take great care to avoid scalding with boiling
water or steam while pouring out water from
the kettle.
• Always turn the kettle o and unplug from
the power socket if you leave it unattended, if
it’snot to be used or before moving or cleaning.
• When disconnecting the kettle from the mains
socket, always pull the plug, not the power
cord. Otherwise, damage to the power cord or
the socket could occur.
• Aconnected power outlet must be easily
accessible for possible sudden disconnection.
Before connecting your appliance to apower
outlet and turning it on, make sure it’sfully and
correctly assembled. Follow the instructions
provided in this user'smanual.

• Do not wash the kettle, base, mains cord and
plug under running water and do not immerse
them in water or any other liquid.
• Do not use harsh abrasive or caustic detergents
to clean the appliance.
• Keep both inner and outer surface of
the appliance clean. Follow the cleaning
instructions provided in this user'smanual.
• Do not store or use any explosive and/or
ammable substances inside or in the vicinity
of this appliance, such as ammable gas sprays.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR
USING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
• Fully unwind the power cord before use.
Connect the kettle only to aproperly grounded
socket.
• Do not leave the power cord hanging over the
edge of atable or countertop or allow it to
touch ahot surface or to become tangled up.
• For safety reasons, we recommend to connect
the appliance in an independent electrical
circuit separated from other appliances. Do
not use adapter plugs or extension cords to
connect the appliance to apower outlet.

• Do not use this appliance in moving vehicles
or on boats, outdoors, or for any purpose other
than intended. Otherwise, there is arisk of
personal injury.
• Any maintenance other than standard cleaning
must be performed at authorised Catler service
centre. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do
not repair and/or make any adjustments to the
electric kettle by yourselves.
• We recommend to install aresidual current
device (standard safety switches in your power
outlet) to provide ahigher level of protection
when using the appliance. We recommend to
install aresidual current device (with anominal
residual operating current of no more than
30mA) in the electric circuit in which your
appliance is to be connected. For further expert
advise, please contact your electrician.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Before rst use, remove all packaging
and advertising labels / stickers from the
appliance. Before using the kettle for the rst
time, allow the kettle to boil clean water. Fill
the cattle with clean water, bring to aboil
and then pour the water out. Repeat this
procedure 3 to 4 times. The kettle is then
ready for use. Your kettle will only operate
correctly if placed on its base connected to
an electric outlet. As soon as the water boils,
the kettle will switch o automatically.
USING YOUR KETTLE
1. To ll the kettle with water, remove it
from its base and press the handle to
open the lid. This will release the lid
safety switch. Fill the kettle with the
required amount of water. Do not ll
the kettle below the minimum or above
the maximum level mark. Lack of water
would lead to turning the kettle o
before boiling. If the kettle is overlled,
the boiling water might splash out.
2. Closed lid and make sure it’srmly
secured. Place the kettle on its base.
Insert the mains cord plug into apower
socket. Ashort acoustic signal will sound.
3. Select required temperature using the
and buttons. The light indicator over
the selected temperature will light in
blue.
4. Press the button to turn the kettle
on. You can also adjust the temperature
during heating with the or button.
5. Red light indicators over the
temperatures will light step by step
under the selected temperature while
the heating is in progress.
NOTE
If the dierence between the newly
set temperature and the kettle water
temperature is less than 5°C, the kettle
will not start. In such case, either
increase the set temperature or wait
until the kettle water temperature has
decreased.
NOTE
Never ll the kettle if it is located on
the base. Do not ll the kettle below
the minimum or above the maximum
level mark. Lack of water would lead
to turning the kettle o before boiling.
If the kettle is overlled, boiling water
may splash out.
NOTE
This kettle should be used only with
the supplied base. When pouring out
water from the kettle, be careful to
avoid scalding with hot water. Do not
pour water too fast.
6. As soon as the water boils the kettle
will turn o automatically and an
acoustic alert will sound. The selected
temperature’sindicator light will be lit
red. Remove the kettle from its base and
press the lid lock to pour water in cup,
mug or other container. To boil water
repeatedly, it’snecessary to wait afew
seconds for the heating element to cool
down.
7. To interrupt the water boiling process at
any time, press .

NOTE
Take great care while pouring water in
your cup. Never open the lid. Escaping
steam may cause burns.
Do not start or use the kettle without water.
Incorrect use of the appliance may negatively
aect its lifetime.
Thanks to the thermo insulated vacuum
layer, the boiled water will remain warm
longer in the kettle. In such condition, there
is no power consumption.
When the water in the kettle starts to cool
down, also red indicator will light over the
current temperature in the kettle.
If the water temperature in the kettle is
below 40°C, no indicator will be lit.
If the kettle is not to be used, unplug the
power cord from the socket. You may store
the kettle on the base if it’snot to be used.
WARNING
This appliance has
been designed only
for boiling drinking
water. Do not use
this appliance for
boiling liquids
other than water.
Before turning the
kettle on, always
make sure that the
lid is firmly closed.
Do not operate the
lid handle while
the water is being
heated or when the
heating is finished.
This could cause the
water to splash out.
Before opening the
lid, please empty
the kettle.

PROTECTION AGAINST EMPTY
OPERATION
The kettle is equipped with asafety device
to protect it against damage by overheating
and operating with insucient amount of/
without water. If you turn the kettle on by
mistake with insucient amount of water/no
water inside, the safety device will cut o the
power supply circuit automatically and turn
the kettle o when acertain temperature
is reached. You cannot turn the kettle back
on at this moment. Set the switch to the o
position and allow the kettle to cool down
before lling.
The kettle can be turned back on once it
has cooled down. The safety device will
reset automatically. In order to increase
the safety, the kettle is equipped with an
additional thermal fuse. Should the safety
device fail with subsequent overheating,
the kettle will automatically and irreversibly
turn o to prevent further damage. Should
such condition occur, please contact an
authorised service centre.

CARE AND CLEANING
Before cleaning the appliance, always
disconnect the plug of the power cord from
the mains socket and let it to cool down
properly.
WARNING

ACCESSORIES.
DO NOT WASH
THE KETTLE, BASE,

IN WATER OR ANY
OTHER LIQUID.
NOTE
Do not use sharp objects, chemicals,
thinners, petrol or other similar
substances. Never clean the plate
warmer with asteam appliance.
CLEANING THE OUTER CASE KETTLE
To clean the kettle’souter surface, please use
adamp cloth; to polish, use adry cloth.
NOTE
The base heating element is made
of high grade stainless steel. Brown
stains that may appear during use
are mineral deposits from the boiled
water. This is no corrosion in any case.
REMOVING MINERAL DEPOSITS
Tapped water may contain minerals that may
deposit inside the kettle and water gauge
and lead to colouration after some time. To
remove the deposits, proceed as follows:
1. Fill your kettle to 2/3 of its level with
1 portion of vinegar and 2 portions of
water. Boil the solution and leave stand in
the cattle overnight.
2. Empty your kettle and then boil clean
water twice. The kettle is then ready for
further use.
