CATLER RECOMMENDS SAFETY FIRST
We understand the importance of safety and that’swhy we put your safety rst from the
initial design concept to the production itself. Nevertheless, please be careful and follow the
instructions below when using the plate warmer.
• This appliance may be used by children 8years
of age and older and by persons with physical or
mental impairments or by inexperienced persons,
if they are properly supervised or have been
informed about how to use of the product in asafe
manner and understand the potential dangers.
• Children may not play with the appliance.
• If the power cord is damaged, have an authorised
service it in order to prevent hazards. It is
forbidden to use the appliance with the power
cord damaged.
• User’scleaning and maintenance performed must
not be performed by children unless they are older
than 8years of age and under supervision. Keep
the appliance and its power cord out of children
under 8.
• This appliance is designed for domestic use and
similar applications, e.g.:
– kitchenettes in stores, oces and other
workplaces;
– agriculture;
– guests in hotels, motels and other dwelling
locations;
– bed and breakfast establishments.

• If the electric kettle is overlled, boiling water
could splash out.
WARNING:
When placing the kettle on and removing from the
base, make sure that the connector does not come
into contact with water.
Wipe the surfaces that come into contact with
food with asoft sponge slightly moistened in clean
water. Perform the cleaning in accordance with
the instructions in the Cleaning and maintenance
chapter.
WARNING:
Incorrect use may lead to injury.
The heating element and the kettle body surface is
hot after use due to residual heat. Do not touch hot
surface.
• Before rst use, make sure that the voltage in your
power socket matches the nameplate voltage at
the unit’sbottom. In case of any doubt, please
contact aqualied electrician.
• Before operating your appliance, read all the
instructions carefully and store them in asafe
place for possible future reference.
• Before using the appliance for the rst time,

please remove all packaging and ad stickers and
discard them in an environmentally safe manner.
Check the appliance for any defects. Under
no circumstances should you use adamaged
appliance or an appliance with adamaged power
cord etc.
• To eliminate the risk of small children suocating,
remove the protective cover of the power plug
from this appliance and dispose of it safely.
• This appliance has been designed only for boiling
drinking water. Never use the appliance to warm
up other liquids or food. Use the appliance only for
the purposes for which it has been designed. Do
not use it outdoors.
• Always place the electric kettle on astable,
even and dry surface. Do not place the kettle on
windowsills, sink drip tray or on unstable surfaces.
Do not operate the appliance on the edge of
adesktop or atable.
• Do not put the kettle on or the vicinity of any
devices and equipment that generate heat.
• Never use the kettle in the near vicinity of abath,
shower or swimming pool.
• Do not place the appliance near walls, curtains or
other substances sensitive to heat or steam. Please
observe aminimum distance of 20cm from such
surfaces.

• Use the kettle only with the base designed for and
supplied with this type of kettle. Do not use the
base supplied with this kettle for other types of
kettles.
• Do not use this appliance with aprogrammable
switch, timer switch or any other device that
automatically switches the appliance on.
• Always remove the kettle from its base before
lling.
• When lling the kettle, make sure that the water
level covers at least the minimum level mark but
doesn’t exceed the maximum level mark.
• Before turning the kettle on, make sure that the
lid is closed properly. Do not open or otherwise
handle the lid while water is boiling.
• Use the handle to lift or carry the kettle.
• Do not put any subjects on the lid.
• Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp
hands.
• If the appliance is in operation, do not leave it
unattended.
• Before removing the kettle from its base, make
sure that it has been turned o.
• Take great care to avoid scalding with boiling
water or steam while pouring out water from the
kettle.

• Always turn o the kettle and disconnect it
from the power socket if you leave it without
supervision, if it’snot to be used or before moving
or cleaning it.
• When disconnecting the kettle from the mains
socket, always pull the plug, not the power cord.
Otherwise, damage to the power cord or the
socket could occur.
• Aconnected power outlet must be easily
accessible for possible sudden disconnection.
Before connecting your appliance to apower
outlet and turning it on, make sure it’sfully and
correctly assembled. Follow the instructions
provided in this user'smanual.
• Do not wash the kettle, base, mains cord and plug
under running water and do not immerse them in
water or any other liquid.
• Do not use rough abrasive or caustic detergents to
clean the appliance.
• Keep both inside and outside surface of the
appliance clean. Follow the cleaning instructions
provided in this user'smanual.
• Do not store or use any explosive and/or
ammable substances inside or in the vicinity of
this appliance, such as ammable gas sprays.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
• Fully unwind the power cord before use. Connect
the kettle only to aproperly grounded socket.
• Do not leave the power cord hanging over the
edge of atable or countertop or allow it to touch
ahot surface or to become tangled up.
• For safety reasons, we recommend to connect
the appliance in an independent electrical circuit
separated from other appliances. Do not use
adapter plugs or extension cords to connect the
appliance to apower outlet.
• Do not use this appliance in moving vehicles or
on boats, outdoors, or for any purpose other than
it’sintended. Otherwise, there is arisk of personal
injury.
• Any maintenance other than standard cleaning
must be performed at authorised Catler service
centre. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
repair and/or make any adjustments to the electric
kettle by yourselves.
• We recommend to install aresidual current device
(standard safety switches in your power outlet) to
provide ahigher level of protection when using the
appliance. We recommend to install aresidual
current device (with anominal residual operating
current of no more than 30mA) in the electric circuit

in which your appliance is to be connected. For
further expert advise, please contact your
electrician.

Before rst use
Before rst use, remove all packaging and advertising labels / stickers from the appliance.
Before using the kettle for the rst time, allow the kettle to boil clean water. Fill the cattle with
clean water, bring to aboil and then pour the water out. Repeat this procedure 3to 4times.
The kettle is then ready for use. Your kettle will only operate correctly if placed on its base
connected to an electric outlet and if the power button is in the on position. As soon as the
water boils, the kettle will switch o automatically.
Using your kettle
1. To ll the kettle with water, remove it from the base and press the button to open the lid.
Fill the kettle with the required amount of water. Do not ll the kettle below the minimum
or above the maximum level mark. Lack of water would lead to turning the kettle o
before boiling. If the kettle is overlled, the boiling water might splash out.
2. Closed lid and make sure it’srmly secured. Place the kettle on its base. Insert the mains
cord plug into apower socket.
3. Set the power switch to the on position. The power switch will be underlit when turned
on.
Never ll the kettle if it is located on the base. Do not ll the kettle below the minimum or above the
maximum level mark. Lack of water would lead to turning the kettle o before boiling. If the kettle
is overlled, boiling water may splash out.
This kettle should be used only with the supplied base. When pouring out water from the kettle, be
careful to avoid scalding with hot water. Do not pour water too fast.
NOTE
4. As soon as the water boils, the kettle will switch o automatically. The switch
underlighting will go out. Take the kettle from the base and pour water in cup, mug or
other container. To boil water repeatedly, it’snecessary to wait afew seconds for the
heating element to cool down.
Do not start or use the kettle without water. Incorrect use of the appliance may negatively
aect its lifetime.
If the kettle is not to be used, unplug the power cord from the socket. You may store the kettle
on the base if it’snot to be used.

WARNING
THIS APPLIANCE HAS BEEN DESIGNED ONLY
FOR BOILING DRINKING WATER. DO NOT USE THIS
APPLIANCE FOR BOILING LIQUIDS OTHER THAN
WATER. BEFORE TURNING THE KETTLE ON, ALWAYS
MAKE SURE THAT THE LID IS FIRMLY CLOSED.
DO NOT OPERATE THE LID OPENING BUTTON WHILE
THE WATER IS BEING HEATED OR WHEN THE HEATING
IS FINISHED. THIS COULD CAUSE THE WATER TO
SPLASH OUT. BEFORE OPENING THE LID, PLEASE
EMPTY THE KETTLE.
Protection against empty operation
The kettle is equipped with asafety device to protect it against damage by overheating and
operating with insucient amount of/without water. If you turn the kettle on by mistake with
insucient amount of water/no water inside, the safety device will cut o the power supply
circuit automatically and turn the kettle o when acertain temperature is reached. You cannot
turn the kettle back on at this moment. Set the switch to the o position and allow the kettle
to cool down before lling.
The kettle can be turned back on once it has cooled down. The safety device will reset
automatically. In order to increase the safety, the kettle is equipped with an additional thermal
fuse. Should the safety device fail with subsequent overheating, the kettle will automatically
and irreversibly turn o to prevent further damage. Should such condition occur, please
contact an authorised service centre.

CARE AND CLEANING
CARE AND CLEANING
Before cleaning the appliance, always disconnect the plug of the power cord from the mains
socket and let it cool down properly.
WARNING:
DO NOT SPLASH WATER OR ANY OTHER
LIQUID ONTO THE KETTLE OR ANY OF ITS PARTS OR
ACCESSORIES.
DO NOT WASH THE KETTLE, BASE, MAINS CORD
AND PLUG UNDER RUNNING WATER AND DO NOT
IMMERSE THEM IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
Do not use sharp objects, chemicals, thinners, petrol or other similar substances. Never clean the
plate warmer with asteam appliance.
NOTE
Cleaning the outer case KETTLE
To clean the kettle’souter surface, please use adamp cloth; to polish, use adry cloth.
The base heating element is made of high grade stainless steel. Brown stains that may appear
during use are mineral deposits from the boiled water. This is no corrosion in any case.
NOTE
Removing mineral deposits
Tapped water may contain minerals that may deposit inside the kettle and water gauge and
lead to colouration after some time. To remove the deposits, proceed as follows:
1. Fill your kettle to 2/3of its level with 1portion of vinegar and 2portions of water. Boil the
solution and leave stand in the cattle overnight.
2. Empty your kettle and then boil clean water twice. The kettle is then ready for further use.
Storage
Before storage, make sure that the kettle is turned o, clean and dry. Check that the lid is
closed properly. Wrap the cord around the bottom of the base. Store your kettle in avertical
position and never put anything on the lid.

Dispose of used packaging material at asite designated for waste in your municipality.
DISPOSING OF USED ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
This symbol on products or original documents means that used electric or electronic products must not
be added to ordinary municipal waste. For proper disposal and recycling, take these products to designated
collection points. Or in some European Union states or other European countries the products can be
returned to the local retailer when buying an equivalent new product. Disposing of this product correctly
helps save valuable natural resources and prevents damage to the environment by improper waste disposal.
Ask your local authorities or collection facility for more details. In accordance with national regulations
penalties may be imposed for the incorrect disposal of this type of waste.
For business entities in European Union states
If you want to dispose of electric or electronic devices, ask your retailer or supplier for the necessary
information.
Disposal in other countries outside the European Union
This symbol is valid in the European Union. If you wish to dispose of this product, request the necessary
information about the correct disposal method from the local council or from your retailer.
This appliance meets all the basic requirements of the EU directives.

VAŠE BEZPEČNOST NA PRVNÍM MÍSTĚ
Uvědomujeme si, jak důležitá je bezpečnost, aproto již od počátečního konceptu až po
samotnou výrobu myslíme především na vaši bezpečnost. Přesto vás ale prosíme, abyste při
používání ohřívače talířů byli opatrní adodržovali následující pokyny.
• Tento spotřebič mohou používat děti ve věku
8 let astarší aosoby se sníženými fyzickými,
smyslovými nebo mentálními schopnostmi nebo
snedostatkem zkušeností aznalostí, pokud jsou
pod dozorem nebo byly poučeny opoužívání
spotřebiče bezpečným způsobem arozumí
případným nebezpečím.
• Děti si se spotřebičem nesmějí hrát.
• Pokud je přívodní kabel poškozen, jeho výměnu
svěřte odbornému servisnímu středisku, aby se
zabránilo vzniku nebezpečné situace. Spotřebič
spoškozeným přívodním kabelem je zakázáno
používat.
• Čištění aúdržbu prováděnou uživatelem nesmějí
provádět děti, pokud nejsou starší 8 let apod
dozorem. Udržovat spotřebič ajeho přívod mimo
dosah dětí mladších 8 let.
• Tento spotřebič je určen pro použití vdomácnosti
apodobných prostorech, jako jsou:
– kuchyňské kouty vobchodech, kancelářích
aostatních pracovištích;
– vzemědělství;

• Pokud je konvice přeplněna, může dojít
kvystříknutí vroucí vody.
VÝSTRAHA:
Dbejte na to, aby nedošlo kpolití konektoru při
umísťování konvice na podstavec apři jejím zdvihání
zpodstavce.
Povrchy, které přicházejí do kontaktu spotravinami,
otřete měkkou houbičkou mírně navlhčenou
včisté teplé vodě. Čištění provádějte dle instrukci
uvedených vkapitole Čištění aúdržba.
VÝSTRAHA:
Při nesprávném používání hrozí riziko poranění.
Povrch topného tělesa atěla konvice je po použití
zahřátý vdůsledku zbytkového tepla. Nedotýkejte se
zahřátého povrchu.
• Před prvním použitím se prosím ujistěte, že
napětí ve vaší síťové zásuvce odpovídá napětí
uvedenému na typovém štítku ve spodní části
přístroje. Pokud máte jakékoli pochybnosti,
obraťte se prosím na kvalikovaného elektrikáře.
• Pečlivě si přečtěte všechny instrukce před
ovládáním spotřebiče auložte je na bezpečné
místo pro možné použití vbudoucnu.
