QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE
Congratulations on your new CBTL™Single Serve Beverage System.
For first time use, please follow these steps.
Kaldi Model S04
Step 1 Carefully remove your new system from the box.
Step 2 Fill water tank to maximum fill level.
Step 3 Plug into grounded outlet and turn power
switch on.
Step 4 Place cup on drip tray.
Step 5 All three beverage buttons and the red light should be
blinking. Press the center button once and wait
approximately 2 minutes for machine to dispense
water from spout. The 3 beverage buttons will blink
while the red light stops blinking to confirm the
completion of this initial priming cycle. Repeat this step
only if red light continues to blink.
Step 6 After the priming cycle is complete, empty the
cup and water from the used capsule drawer
and then replace. The 3 beverage buttons will
stop blinking to confirm that the machine is
heated and ready to prepare your beverage.

USING YOUR SYSTEM
Step 1 Select preferred capsule for brewing: CBTL™ Capsules include espresso,
brewed coffee and tea.

Step 2 Raise the lever and gently place your selected CBTL™
Capsule into the capsule compartment opening.
NOTE: Do not remove or puncture capsule foil.
CAUTION: Do not place fingers or other objects
into the CBTL™ Capsule compartment opening.
Step 3 Lower the lever completely. Wait for beverage buttons
to be steadily lit.
Step 4 Identify the appropriate beverage button
based on your beverage selection.
Step 6 Carefully remove your hot cup of delicious
CBTL™ espresso, brewed coffee or tea from
the drip tray.

Step 7 Raise and then lower lever
to eject used capsule into
drawer. Remove and dispose
of the used capsule from
used capsule drawer.
CAUTION: Capsule will be hot.
Step 5 Push button. Brewing will begin in approximately
3 seconds, dispensing beverage into cup on
drip tray (brewing process takes approximately
1 to 3 minutes depending on choice of beverage).
NOTE: Holding the button down for more than 2 seconds
may recalibrate the machine’s ideal beverage settings.
CAUTION: Extremely hot water is involved in making
your perfect cup.
DO NOT lift lever, open brewer assembly/water tank or
place fingers under beverage dispensing area of drip tray
while brewing.
