Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase from the Cefndy Healthcare Attendant/self-
Propelled Shower Commode Chair range. Please ensure you read and understand
these instructions in full before use. Please retain these for future reference.
The chairs feature a soft feel polyurethane moulded seat and upholstery for comfort,
warmth and durability. The seat have an integrated clip-on clip-off function for easy
cleaning. The arms flip up for easy lateral transfer and features fully adjustable swing
away footrests. The chair is multi use and can be used as a shower chair, commode
chair or over a toilet pedestal. The chairs have 4 aluminium 5” braked castors.

Assembly Instructions
Please note:
When unpacking carefully examine the product to ensure it is complete. See
contents list above.
Separate Assembly instructions are included in the box, but are also included
here.
Before you begin assembly check for any damage. If damaged please contact
your supplier and refrain from using the product.
Do not attempt to use if the product is damaged.
Assembly:
Place the Chair Base Frame (A) on a level floor. At the rear of the frame you
will see two black threaded hand wheels (F). Undo the wheels so that the
holes are clear.
Place the two legs of the back rest (B) into the holes on the back edge of the
base frame (A).
Secure the back rest by inserting the hand wheels and turning until you feel
the nut biting against the leg of the back. Do not overtighten –finger tight is
sufficient.
Place all four castors into the leg tubes and secure using the pin clips. If fitting
T212/MT212 see below.
On each side of the front legs of the commode main frame there are two
retaining lugs either side.
Take the footrests and align the holes in the inverted “U” section with the lugs.
Lower down into place.

Rotate the foot rest towards the commode so that they clip into place.
They can be rotated up and down as necessary, should they temporarily not
be required.
For T212 / MT212:
Instead of fitting the two rear castors, replace with the stabilising bars.
Fit the axle bushes through the locating holes in the frame from the outside
and fit the nut on the inside, now place the axle from the outside of the wheel
(black knob outside) and push through the axle until it clicks into place.
Fit the brake bracket and brake onto the frame and tighten the two Allen
screws slightly, ensure that the brake works then fully tighten the Allen
screws.
Correct Use
Empty the potty after each use.
Castors:
To lock: push down the lever on the castor body (all 4 are lockable).
To unlock: push the lever in the opposite way.
Insert the modesty cover for showering use.
Accessories
A Lap Strap is available for use with the chair. This is
available as a separate item from Cefndy Healthcare.
It is essential that a risk assessment is carried out for
each individual user of the Lap Strap. Please refer to
the User Instructions supplied with the strap.
Cleaning
The Product can be cleaned using a mild detergent and a mild disinfectant or
antibacterial solution caution should be taken when using cleaning
agents/chemicals in understanding their suitability.
Do not use an abrasive cleaner as this may damage the frame and invalidate
The frame is suitable for mechanical cleaning/disinfection in industrial
cleaning machines up to 80°C. Thorough drying of the chair is necessary
afterwards.

Maintenance Requirements
The product should be checked on a regular –this should include the items
which can be assembled/ disassembled to ensure their fit and location is as
intended, i.e.; The Back rest is correctly seated and hand wheels secure etc.
Please ensure the product is dried following Cleaning.
Warning
We recommend a full risk assessment is carried out before use. This should
include consideration for the equipment’s intended use, the capacity of the
user to safely use the equipment, the environment in which the equipment is
intended to be used and all other relevant considerations.
It is advised that the frame is checked periodically for signs of wear and tear.
Any problems please report to your supplier immediately.
Warranty
This product carries a 12 month warranty from the date of purchase against
manufacturing defects, damage incurred through misuse is not covered. This
warranty does not affect your statutory rights. Do not use in the event of fault or
damage.
Disposal Instructions
Appropriate hygiene standards should be applied before disposal to minimise
the risk of infection.
Materials used are essentially non-hazardous and can be disposed of
appropriately consideration should be given to local re-cycling arrangements.
