Preface
This documentation addresses European Union (EU) Ecodesign requirements for
servers and storage products. All data and ratings within this file are in reference
onl y to CLS P2522 product(s). The below information conforms with requirements
laid down in Annex II of the Commission Regulation 2019/424.

3(1)(n): FW and Secure data Deletion tool
To delete data safely need the OS level software to be handled by Celestica's
customer.
Celestica will support firmware per Erp requirements at "free of charge or at a fair,
transparent and non-discriminatory cost.”

System Disassembly Instructions
CAUTION: Always power off the system and unplug the power cord(s) first before
disassembling the system!
CPU
Type and number of fastenings: Four (4) T30 screws on heatsink.
Tools required: Screwdriver with T30 Torx bit. The screw torque should be
13 KGF.CM.
Procedure:
Step 1: Disassemble the Heatsink.
1) Use a T30 screw driver. The screw torque should be 13 KGF.CM.
2)
Disassembly must be followed by 4,3,2,1 order, see the label on the
heatsink.
Step 2: Disassemble the CPU.
1) Then disassemble the CPU from the motherboard.

WARNING:
For Sharp edges and corners, please avoid injure when do assembling and dis-assembling operation.

Hard Drive
Type and number of fastenings:
One (1) latch and four (4)
Pan Head screw M3 x L4.5.
Torque 4 ± 0.5 KGF.CM

Tools required:
Screwdriver with PH2 bit.
Procedure:
1) Click the button

2) The handle will open automatically

3) Hold the handle to pull the drive out of the chassis

4) Remove the screws and then remove the HDD from the carrier.

PSU
Type and number of fastenings: One (1) latch and one (1) handle per module.
Tools required: None.
Procedure:
1) Rotate the handle to a suitable angle

2) Keep pressing the pick and holding the handle

3) Pull the PSU out of the chassis

Controller Canister
Type and number of fastenings: Two (2) latches per controller canister.
Tools required: None.
Procedure:
Rotate the handle then hold the handle to pull the canister out of the
chassis.

Controller canister cover
NOTE: The system should be operated by a skilled man after training.
Type and number of fastenings: Two (2) locks on the controller canister cover.
Tools required: None.
Procedure: Press the two locks and pull the controller canister cover out in the
direction as shown below.

The PCIE module
NOTE: The others which located on the rear of the enclosure assembly are similar to the section shows
below. Users could refer to the installation method as shown in the following chapters.
Type and number of fastenings:
Tools required: None.
Procedure:
1) Remove the controller canister cover, see Controller canister cover removal.
2) Remove the PCIE module out from the canister.
3) Remove the PCIE card from the slot.

FAN Module
WARNING: Moving fan blades accessible only during user servicing, any other time, users should keep
away from moving fan blades.
Type and number of fastenings:
Tools required: None.
Procedure:
1) Remove the controller canister cover, see Controller canister cover removal.
2) Unplug the connector, and then remove the single fan.

M.2 Card
Type and number of fastenings: plastic holder.
Tools required: None.
Procedure:
1) Push the M.2 card plastic holder outward

Trusted Platform Module (TPM) card
Type and number of fastenings:
Tools required: None.
Procedure: Pull the TPM card out of the slot.

Battery Backup Units
Type and number of fastenings: One (1) BBU handle.
Tools required: None.
Procedure: Pull the TPM card out of the slot.
1) Rotate the BBU handle.
2) Pull the BBU out of the canister.
