TIME MODE
SET THE TIME AND DATE
Power
• Useasmallscrewdrivertoremove
the2screwsonthebatterycover.
InsertCR2032lithiumbatteries
(2qnty)withthepositivesideofthe
batteryupward.Replacethebattery
door and tighten the screws.
• Whenthebatteryislow( ) will
appearonscreenandthebatteries
shouldbereplaced.
Time Setting
• Pressandhold“MODE”buttonfor
3 seconds to enter settings. Press
“▼”or “▲” to change setting, and
press“MODE”buttontoconrm
andmovetonextsetting.
• Settingsequenceisasfollows:
Hour, Minute, Second, Year, Month,
Day,Day-of-weeklanguage
(German, English,
Russian, Danish, Dutch, Italian,
Spanish or French)
• Ifnobuttonispressedfor15
seconds, the display will return to
previousmode.
• Press“MODE”buttontoexitthe
Time Setting Mode.
NOTE: When out of settings mode, press the “▲” button
to select 12 or 24 hour mode
• PressMODEbuttontoswitchbetweenClock,AlarmClock,YearandDual
Time.

Dual Time Setting
• Press“MODE”buttonuntil“DT”is
shown on the screen.
• Hold“MODE”buttonfor3seconds
to enter Dual Time setting. The
“Hour” digits flash. Press “▲”or
“▼“buttontoadjustthe“hour”,
press“MODE”buttontoconrm
and quit the setting.
Alarm Setting
• Press“MODE”buttontonavigate
to Alarm Time Display (“AL” icon
displays on the LCD). Hold “MODE”
buttonfor3secondstoenteralarm
clock setting mode. Press “▼” or
“▲” to change setting, and press
“MODE”buttontoconrmand
movetonextsetting.
• Thesettingsequenceis:Hour,
Minute and Alarm ON ( )/
OFF ( ).
• Whenthealarmison,thesymbol
“”appearsandwhenitisoff
thesymbol“ ” disappears.
• Whenalarmgoesoff“ ” will
ash.Pressanybutton(except
SNOOZE/LIGHTbutton)tostop
thealarm.Ifnobuttonispressed
the alarm will automatically stop
after2minutes.
• Whenalarmisgoingoff,press
“SNOOZE/LIGHT”buttonto
activatethesnoozealarm,(Zzzicon
will flash on screen). The alarm will
snoozefor5minutes.Thesnooze
functioncanbeusedonly7times.

COMPASS
• PresstheCompassbuttonand
the unit will enter the Compass
mode. Make sure to hold the unit
horizontally, parallel to the ground.
Point the arrow that is printed
on the Compass housing in the
directionyouwishtotravel.This
directionwillbedisplayedalong
with the angle in ° (degrees).
The LCD arrow {▲} will always
point North.
• Ifnokeyispressedfor30seconds,
theunitwillautomaticallyshutoff
the compass and return to the
temperature mode.
Note: The compass must be kept in a level position
when in use. Taking a measurement while the unit is not
horizontal (in relation to the horizon) can result in a large
measurement error.
Always take bearings in the open air, because it is easily
affected by disturbing sources of magnetism.

ThecompassshowsthebearingindegreesdueNorthtogetherwith
16 cardinal points.

COMPASS SENSOR CALIBRATION
• InCOMPASSmodeholdthe
“COMPASS”buttonfor3seconds
to enter the compass sensor
calibrationmode,thenpressthe
“COMPASS”buttontostartthe
calibration.
• Keeptheunitinalevelpositionor
ontopofanon-metallictableor
desk.Referencethearrowshowing
in the LCD, rotate the compass
clockwisefortwofullrotations
slowly:
• Whennished,theLCDwilldisplay
“OK”ifthecalibrationissuccessful
ordisplay“Fail”ifunsuccessful
ThecompassshouldbecalibratedbeforeuseANDwhenthebatteriesare
replaced.

SET THE MAGNETIC DECLINATION ANGLE
• InCOMPASSmode,holdthe
“COMPASS”buttonfor3seconds
to enter the compass sensor
calibrationmode,press“MODE”
buttontoentersettingofthe
declination angle. The angle will
flash on the LCD. For example,
belowthe“0°”willashon
the LCD).
• Press“▲”or “▼” to change the
anglevalue,rangefrom-90°to
90°,andpress“MODE”buttonto
conrmandexitthesetting.
Theanglebetweenmagneticnorthandthetruenorthdirectioniscalled
magneticdeclination.Theearth’smagneticpolesuctuateovertime,and
italsovariesfromplacetoplace.Findthemagneticdeclinationonamap
orwebsite,andthensetthedeclinationonthisunittooffsetthedifference
betweenmagneticnorthandtruenorth.Pleasenotethatifyoufailtodothis,
thereadingsyougetfromthecompasscouldbeinerror.

TEMPERATURE
BACKLIGHT
• Whencompassmodeisoff,the
LCD will display the temperature in
unitsof°Cor°F.Thetemperature
rangewillbefrom-20°Cto60°C.
• Press“▼”buttontochangethe
readingfrom°Cto°F.
• WhenTemperatureislowerthan
-20°C, the display will show LL.L°C.
When temperature is higher than
60°C, LCD display will show
HH.H°C.
• PresstheSNOOZE/LIGHTbutton
toturnthebacklightonfor5
seconds.
