COMPONENTS
This Dehumidifier is rated to extract 12L per day in an environment of 80% humidity and
temperature of 30°C. This is the world-wide standard for rating dehumidifiers. In New
Zealand we do not have climatic conditions with this humidity and high temperature.
Accordingly the extraction levels may be lower.

OPERATING YOUR DEHUMIDIFIER
Always choose a safe location for the Dehumidifier, keeping in mind the safety precautions
outlined. Ensure all packaging has been removed from the unit before use. This appliance
requires no installation, it should be used solely as a portable appliance.
WARNING: Keep all objects at least 1 metre from the front, sides and rear of the
appliance.
WARNING: Never leave this Dehumidifier unattended.
WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the Dehumidifier.
Note: Leave the appliance to stand for one hour after transport or after the unit has been on
its side before connecting it to the mains supply to let the refrigerant settle. Ensure all
external windows and doors are closed before turning on the unit.
Ensure that the water container is positioned correctly. Plug into power supply, 2 beep
signals will be heard. To turn the Dehumidifier on, press the ON/OFF button. The blue
backlight will illuminate and turn off after 15 seconds. The LCD display will show the
working mode and status of unit. The LCD display shows the ambient humidity and
temperature. The oscillating louvre will open and the unit will start to run. The unit will be in
continuous dehumidify mode and will run continuously until turned off.
Press the “ON/OFF”button again, the unit will stop.
To switch between continuous dehumidifying mode and automatic dehumidifying modes,
press the MODE button until the “continuous dehumidifying”flashes on the electronic
display. Then press the SETTING button multiple times to set your desired humidity setting
from 40% to 80% RH (Relative Humidity) in 5% increments.
NOTE: When the sensor detects an ambient humidity level 1% lower than the set level the
compressor will turn off and the fan will continue to run. Once the ambient humidity level
increases to 5% higher than the set level the compressor will turn back on and continue to
dehumidify.
Within the continuous dehumidifying mode you can also set the desired fan speed to either
Low (L) or High (H). To do this, press the MODE button until the “Wind Speed”flashes on
the electronic display. Once it is flashing press the SETTING button to change the fan
speed.
This dehumidifier is designed to provide optimum performance at 35°C -15°C but it is still
effective down to 5°C. Ultimately the performance of this dehumidifier is dependant on the
amount of moisture or water vapour in the air.
Attention: This Dehumidifier is rated to extract 12L per day in an environment of 80%
humidity and temperature of 30°C. This is the world-wide standard for rating dehumidifiers.
In NZ we do not have climatic conditions with this humidity and high temperature.
Accordingly this product will not extract 12L per day, extraction levels will be lower.

MEMORY FUNCTION
If power supply is cut off when the appliance is running, it will automatically restart in the last
working mode once power is restored.
TIMER
If you would like to set the 24 hour timer you can do so by using the TIMER button. (Each
press of the button will increase the time set by 1 hour). There are two options when using
the timer function:
When the Dehumidifier is running, you can set the timer to turn off the unit after X amount of
hours. In order to do this, whilst the Dehumidifier is running press the TIMER button until the
desired length of time is displayed on electronic display
When the unit is off you can set the timer to turn the Dehumidifier on after X amount of hours.
In order to do this, whilst the Dehumidifier is off (but still plugged into a power outlet) press
the TIMER button until the desired length of time is displayed on electronic display
DEFROST
When the Dehumidifier is operating in low temperatures the unit will go into a defrost cycle.
This is to remove any ice that has accumulated on the interior of the unit as a result of its
operation. How often the Dehumidifier goes into its defrost cycle will depend on the
temperature and humidity in the room.
WATER DRAINAGE
When the water container is full:
An alarm signal will sound.
The compressor will stop automatically. This will also stop the dehumidification process.
Empty the water container and replace it in the correct position. The Dehumidifier will
continue dehumidifying when the compressor automatically starts (after three minutes). If
desired, it is possible to connect a drainage tube (not supplied) to the device for permanent
water drainage. If this option is desired you will need to purchase a suitable tube from your
local hardware retailer (Celsius does not hold tubes as spare parts).
Connect the drainage hose to the drain spout and ensure that the end of the hose is lower
than the drain opening, otherwise the water will not drain and flooding may occur. Also
ensure the water tank is in position (in the unit) otherwise the continuous drainage will not
operate. Place the end of the drainage hose in a drainage outlet. When you no longer wish
to use the permanent water drainage, disconnect the drainage tube from the device. Ensure
that the water container is positioned correctly.

CARE AND CLEANING
Do not attempt to dismantle the Dehumidifier. There are no user serviceable parts. For
service or repair, contact an authorised electrical service technician. To clean the air filter:
Switch the unit off and remove plug from socket. Remove the filter. Clean the filter with a
vacuum or with water. Dry the filter. Ensure the filter is completely dry before placing back in
the unit.
Never use unit without the air filter.
The exterior may be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. If the device is extremely dirty wipe the
device with a slightly damp (not wet) cloth. Never spray the device with water.
To store the unit, remove the plug from the socket and empty the container. Allow the
Container and the Dehumidifier to dry completely. Clean the air filter. Store the device in a
dust-free location, preferably covered with a sheet of plastic.
Do not use this Dehumidifier with a programmer, remote-control system, separate Timer or
any other device that switches the Dehumidifier on automatically.
