How to Use this Manual
Consult the Table of Contents to determine which section contains the
information you desire.
Each time a direction instruction (left, right, forward or rearward) about the
vehicle is given, this is to be taken from the point of view of an occupant in the
driver ’ s seat. In special instances where this rule does not apply, appropriate
instructions will be indicated within the text.
The detailed index at the end of this Owner’s Manual contains a complete listing
of all subjects.
Rollover Warning
Utility vehicles have a significantly higher rollover rate than other types of
vehicles. This vehicle has a higher ground clearance and a higher center of
gravity than many passenger vehicles.
Driven in an unsafe manner, all vehicles can go out of control.
Because of the higher center of gravity, if this vehicle is out of control, it may roll
over when some other vehicles may not.
Do not attempt sharp turns, abrupt maneuvers or other unsafe driving actions
that can cause loss of vehicle control. Failure to operate this vehicle safely may
result in a collision, rollover of the vehicle and severe or fatal injury. Drive
carefully.

Introduction
Failure to use the driver and passenger seat belts provided is a major cause of
severe or fatal injury. In a rollover crash, an unbelted person is significantly more
likely to die than a person wearing a seat belt. Always buckle up.
• Failure to operate this vehicle in a safe and prudent manner may result
in loss of control or an accident.
Vehicle Modifications / Alterations
• Please strictly follow the instructions of Incomplete Vehicle Document
for the modification or alteration of the vehicle.
• Any modification or alteration to this vehicle that does not meet the
Incomplete Vehicle Document requirements may seriously affect its
road worthiness and safety, and may lead to a collision resulting in
serious injury or death.
Installing of Radio Transmitting Equipment
When installing a CB, ham radio or car phone in your vehicle, be sure to observe
the following precautions; otherwise, the new equipment may adversely affect
the EV control system and other electronic parts.
• A cellular phone should not be used while driving. Full attention must
be given to vehicle operation. Some jurisdictions prohibit the use of
cellular phones while driving.
• If you must make a call while your vehicle is in motion, the hands-free
cellular phone operational mode is highly recommended. Exercise
extreme caution at all times so full attention may be given to vehicle
operation.
• If you are unable to devote full attention to vehicle operation while
talking on the phone, pull off the road to a safe location and stop your
vehicle.
