1 GENERAL INFORMATION
The S700 taximeter may contain an internal Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR module.
This module only supports a SPP profile used to establish a serial
communication channel with the meter. If you are not sure whether or not
your device supports the SPP profile, please, contact the manufacturer of
that device.
The COM channel used for Bluetooth communications is the same one
that is available via the plug on the adapter bracket. In order to facilitate
meter programming, configuration, and other tasks the meter
automatically routes communications as follows:
- By default all communications will be via the wired plug on the adapter bracket
unless all of the following conditions apply:
oA BTM is installed in the meter.
oThe meter has been configured to enable Bluetooth communications
oA device has been paired with the BTM and has established an active SPP
connection.
- If all of the above conditions apply then the meter automatically routes
communications through the BTM.
