SAFETY INFORMATION
IMPORTANT: Before you begin...
AS WITH ALL LIGHTERS, THERE CAN BE SOME RISKS INVOLVED AND WE WANT YOU
TO STAY SAFE WHILE USING OUR PRODUCT.
1. Please read the following instructions and safety warnings completely before use. Keep these instructions for
future reference and feel free to contact us with any questions at 800-521-0505.
2. Always exercise caution when operating your FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand.
3. Your FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand should only be used to light a barbecue or hearth fi re.
4. Do NOT let children use the FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand. Store out of reach of children.
5. Store your FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand where it will NOT be exposed to moisture or rain.
6. Never leave FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand outside.
7. ALWAYS unplug and let cool before storing.
8. Never let the handle or electric cord come into contact with fl ame or hot surfaces.
9. Make sure all nonessential fl ammable and combustible materials are at a safe distance from FIRE UPTM
Charcoal Starter Wand before and during use.
10. Use caution when wearing loose clothing while operating your FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand.
11. Low quality charcoal may spark when used with the FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand.
12. Be aware that ashes and embers from the grill or fi re can fl y up when using the FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter
Wand.
13. The power cord can not be replaced. If the cord is damaged, the FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand should
be properly disposed of.
14. Do NOT block the air inlet or outlet of the heat gun. Do NOT place anything, including paper or your hand,
near the air/heat oulet of the heat gun.
15. CAUTION: the metal components of the FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand will be HOT when in use.

To speed up cooling process for storing the FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand, set the switch to “1”
and run until metal components have cooled completely.
To clean, wait until your FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand has cooled completely and use a damp
cloth to wipe down the exterior casing.

NOTE: The rst time the FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand is in operation smoke may be
present emanating from the nozzle. This is normal.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
With the FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand you will never need to use lighter uid to light your grill again.
1. Make a pile of coals or briquettes on the lower grate inside the grill bowl.
2. Plug in your FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand and slide power button forward into position.
“0” = off
“1” = on (BLOW setting)
“2” = on (HEAT setting)
3. Slide switch to “2” position and touch the hot end of the FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand to the
pile of coals (make sure the hole pattern is facing down towards the coals). To speed up the heating
process touch the hot end to the pile at multiple points.
4. Draw back the FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand slightly when sparks appear.
5. Set switch to “1” position and continue aiming your FIRE UPTM Charcoal Starter Wand in the same
spot until targeted area is substantially lit. repeat this step at different target points until all coals are
lit.
