Safety Information

WARNING: Read and understand all instructions for proper installation and use of this product.

Installation Guidelines

1. Install the device in cabinets with a temperature no greater than 65˚C (149 °F)

2. Do not inhibit cabinet airflow with the installation of the device.

3. Avoid unstable mounting which could develop into a hazardous condition.

4. Do not block or obstruct access to the input/output ports in any way.

Mounting and Installation Instruction

1. Device comes with magnetic buttons. Select the preferred location and secure the device onto the cabinet.

2. An optional device external Bonding Strap (Part number: 024-717664-001) is included with the device, and is an enhanced feature for RFI and EMI noise

reduction when required. Follow Grounding and Bonding methods when connecting the Ground Wire to the Racks and/or Cabinets at customer discretion.

IP Setup Instruction

1. Energize the device

2. Connect a laptop to the Ethernet port on the device using CAT5/6 cable.

3. Configure the laptop to have Ethernet access to the device. The device is shipped with the default IPv4 address: 192.168.123.123

4. From the IE Web browser type the following URL: 192.168.123.123. Login the device using “admin” for Username and “admin” for password

5. Select Settings/Network to enter the appropriate IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway. Save input data. See the Networked EAC User Manual for

additional information for configuring the EAC.

•Elevated Operating Ambient- If installed in a closed or multi-unit rack assembly, the operating ambient temperature of the rack environment may be greater

than room ambient. Consideration should be given to installing the equipment in an environment compatible with the maximum rated ambient temperature of

65˚C (149 °F).

•Reduced Air Flow –Installation of the equipment in a rack should be such that the amount of airflow required for safe operation of the equipment is not

compromised.
