2. Operation
2.1 CLM1000-Home operational system
T e Wattmeter CLM1000 – Home is made for measuring
t e following electric parameters:
•instantaneous real power [W]
•active energy (consumption) [kW ]
•active energy / 24 ours [kW ]
•test time [ :mm]
Switc between t e different modes using t e arrow
keys.
2.2 Brief instruction
Connecting:
Unplug t e load (e.g. ouse old appliance, HIFI,
PC…) and plug it in t e adapter of t e measuring
device.
Subsequently connect t e adapter of t e
measuring device to t e socket.
Now t e measuring device is interposed be
tween
load and socket, so it can measure power and
current consumption.
Menu item 1(3)
W en t e CLM1000 is plugged in it automatically
switc es on and displays t e instantaneous power
of t e connected electric appliance.
Press to continue to menu item 2(3).
By selecting t e second menu item t e current
consumption of t e connected electric
appliance is displayed.
e.g.:
t e refrigerator as consumed 0.15 killowatt
ours in 5 ours.
By pressing bot arrow keys for approx. 2 seconds
t e measuring will be reset to zero.

T roug t is measuring t e 1-day consumption
of
an appliance can be specified.
Just connect t e
wattmeter to any load for 24 ours.
After a successful measurement t e display
backlig t switc es
from blue to green. It now
displays t e current consumption of t e 24-
our
measuring.
e.g.: T e result of t e 24- our measuring
was 4,25
kW .
To calculate t e daily consumption costs
multiply your kW price wit t e cur
rent
consumption.
At 17 Cent per kW :
4,25 kW * 0,17 € = 0,72 €
Here too, it is advisabl
e to reset t e wattmeter to
zero
, t roug pressing bot arrow keys for approx.
2 seconds before starting t e measuring.
All readings are saved even after unplugging the wattmeter or a mains failure. They
will
be recalled by plugging in again.
2.3 Contrast setting
Increase contrast:
Press t e “OK” button and t e “arrow up” button
simultaneously to increase contrast.
Decrease contrast:
Press t e “OK” button and t e “arrow down” button
simultaneously to decrease contrast.
T e contrast setting is saved after switc ing off t e
wattmeter.

w ic
occurred!
If t ere is an error t e display is red.
Error Meaning Solution
ERROR1 Internal error 1!
CLM1000 doesn’t start!
Unplug t e CLM1000 and
plug it again!
If t e error continues to exist
t e CLM1000 can’t be
used.
Please send in
ERROR2 Internal error 2!
T e CLM1000 s ows t e
error and all readings are
reset.
T e CLM1000 starts a new
measuring!
If t is error keeps occurring
during start-up t e
CLM1000 as to be sent in
for furt er inspection.
ERROR3 Amperage above t e
