Ifyouareusingnew/unformattedharddrives,youwill need to firstformatandpartitionthedrivesbeforeyouroperating
systemwill recognized them.Pleasereferto thedocumentationincluded with yourharddriveand/oroperatingsystem
formoreinformation aboutcorrectly formattingaharddrive.
5.DiskDock Operation
Thedualbay clonedock primarily functionsas a2-bay drivedock thatallowsyou to easily connectupto2harddrives
to yourcomputerthrough asingle USB connection.

1.Beforeyoupoweron theunit,insertyourSATA harddrive(s) into theDisk1and/orDisk2bay.Besurethatthehard
drives’SATA connectors align with theSATA connectors within each bay.
2. UsetheprovidesUSB cable toconnectthedock with aUSB porton yourcomputer.
3. Flipthepowerswitch locatedon therear side of thedock. TheLEDindicatorwill lightupandtheharddriveswill be
powered up.
4.Yourcomputerwill automaticallydetectthenewly connecteddeviceanddrives.Itmayneed aminute ortwoto install
thenecessarydrivers.TheDockusesdrivers thatarealreadybuilt intoyourOS.Additionaldrivers arenot required
to thisproduct.
5. Oncethecomputerhas recognized thedrives, they will showupunderMyComputerif you areusingaWindows
operatingsystemoron yourdesktopif you areusingaMac OSXoperatingsystem.
Note:Donot removetheharddrivesfromthedock,ordisconnectthedock fromtheUSB oreSATA portofyourcomputer
while copyingfilesto orfromthedeviceorwhile filesorapplicationsstoredonthe harddriveareinuse.DOING SOMAY

6.HardwareCloneFunction(Harddrive duplication)
Tosuccessfullyusetheclone function,thecapacityof targetharddrivemustbe largerorequalto thesourcedrive.Please
notethesourcedatacan not be cloned to adrivewith smallercapacity.

With thisfunction, users can enjoytheonebutton clone(fromsourceHDD to targetHDD)withoutconnectingto
computer.
ImportantNote:
1. Beforedoinghardwareclone, pleasedisconnectthe USB cable thatisbetween thedock andthecomputer. If the
mentioned cablesareconnectedduringcloningprocess, they may causecorruption of theharddrives.
2.Pleasemakesureyou putthecorrectdriveinto correctdrivebaybeforecloning,if not,thedatawill be damaged due
to misuse.
3.Thecapacityoftarget disk (shouldbe putintheTarget bay)mustbe equalorlargerincapacitythanthesourcedisk.
Pleasefollow below stepstoenable thehardwareclone:
1.Install 2harddrivesinto thedock. Makesurethecorrectdrivesareproperlyinstalledto sourcebay(Disk1)andtarget
bay (Disk 2).
2. Connectthepoweradapterandflipthepowerbutton to powerupthedock anddrives.
3.Press andholdthe CLONE buttonfor 5seconds to starttheduplication.Thepercentage LEDindicatorslocatednext
to the “Clone”buttonwill beginblinking.Ifyoufail to clickthecopybuttonwithin 5seconds,youmuststarttheprocess
again.
4.Astheduplicationprocess progresses,theLEDindicators will stopblinkingindicatingthepercentage completed.For
example,ifthe25% and50% LEDindicators aresolidred while 75% and100%continueblinking,thentheduplication
process isapproximately 50% -75% completed.
5.Whentheduplicationprocess has completed,all 4percentage LEDindicators will stopblinkingandstaysolidred.Flip
thepowerswitch locatedon therear side of thedockto theoff position.
6.Itisnowsafeto removetheharddrivesfromthedock. Press down onthediskejectbuttonto releasetheharddrive
fromthedock.
