Overview
To create your powerline network, you must connect each network device
to a Powerline Adapter. In the first section, you will connect the Powerline
Network Adapter (model number: PLTE200) to your router. In the next
section, you will connect the Powerline 4-Port Network Adapter (model
number: PLTS200) to your computers or other network devices.

Install the First Adapter1
A. Connect one end of an Ethernet
network cable to the Ethernet
port of the Powerline Network
Adapter (model number:
PLTE200).
B. Connect the other end of the
cable to the Ethernet port on
your router.

C. Connect the power cord to the
Power port of the Adapter.
D. Plug the other end into an
electrical outlet.
NOTE: Because the Adapter sends data over the power lines
of your home, Linksys recommends that you plug the Adapter
directly into an electrical outlet. The Adapter has its own power
filter to help protect against surges.
E. The Power and Ethernet LEDs of
the Adapter light up.

Install the Second Adapter2
A. Connect one end of an Ethernet
network cable to an Ethernet
port on the Powerline 4-Port
Network Adapter (model
number: PLTS200).
B. Connect the other end of the
cable to a computer.
NOTE: You can connect additional computers or other network
devices to the remaining Ethernet ports of the 4-Port Adapter.
C. Connect the power cord to
the Power port of the 4-Port
Adapter.

D. Plug the other end into an
electrical outlet.
NOTE: Because the 4-Port Adapter sends data over the power
lines of your home, Linksys recommends that you plug it directly
into an electrical outlet. The 4-Port Adapter has its own power
filter to help protect against surges.
E. The Power, Ethernet, and
Powerline LEDs light up. (The
number of lit Ethernet LEDs
depends on how many devices
are connected.)
NOTE: The Powerline LED
indicates that the
connection between the
two Powerline Adapters
has been established.
F. The Powerline LED of the first
Adapter you installed lights up.
Hardware installation is complete.
