features relating to the presentation and
use of your DS3 CABRIO.
Refer to the DS3 owner's handbook for all
other descriptions and specifications, and

Soft top
Your vehicle is fitted with an electric soft top roof.
The roof is opened and closed by pressing
the control at the interior lamp, in the opening
direction 1and in the closing direction 2.

Access
In order to maintain the state of charge of
the battery, it is recommended that the roof
be operated with the engine running.
Operation of the roof is possible:
- engine running, or
- ignition on.
During operation of the roof with just
the ignition on, starting the engine may
cause the roof to stop, depending on
the state of charge of the battery. To
have the roof continue the operation,
operate the control again after the
engine has started.
Operating zones
There are two operating zones:
Zone A: horizontal operating zone, in manual
or automatic mode.
Zone B: vertical operating zone, in automatic
mode only.
Before operating the roof, ensure that no occupant of the vehicle or person outside the
vehicle could be subject to any risk related to the movement of the roof or the rear screen
and that no object could interfere with the operation.
Roof positions
Position 0: Roof completely closed.
Position 1: Stop position for automatic roof
closing.
Position 2: Roof open horizontally.
Position 3: Roof completely open.

Opening
Manual mode
Opening of the roof in zone Bcan only be done in automatic mode.
)In zone A, press and hold the control
without passing the point of resistance to
open the roof.
)The roof stops as soon as you release the
control.

Automatic mode
During automatic operation of the roof
in zone A, pressing the control stops
the roof.
During complete opening of the roof,
the rear screen comes down onto the
rear shelf. Ensure that no object is left
on the shelf which might damage the
rear screen or the roof.
Automatic opening of the roof in zone B
is not possible if the boot is open.
In the event of a problem, check that
the boot is fully closed
During an operation in zone B, an
instruction to stop the roof is not
possible.
Pressing the control reverses the
direction of movement of the roof,
whichever direction the control is
pressed.
This "anti-panic" function allows a quick
change in direction of movement of the
roof if suddenly required.
)Release the control: opening of the roof
continues up to the maximum horizontal
position (position 2).
)In zone B, a press on the control opens the
roof completely (position 3).
)In zone A, press the control beyond the
point of resistance to begin opening the
roof.

Closing
Manual mode
)In zone A, press and hold the control
without passing the point of resistance to
close the roof.
Closing the roof in zone Bcan only be done in automatic mode.
If the roof does not lock correctly, it
opens again by a few centimetres. With
the engine running, operate the control
again.
If the problem persists, contact a
CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
)The roof stops as soon as you release the
control.
)To close the roof completely, press and
hold the control until the the roof is heard to
lock.

Automatic mode
)In position 3, press the control to begin
closing the roof.
When the roof is completely open, the
rear screen rests on the rear shelf.
Do not place any object on the rear
screen.
During automatic closing of the roof
in zone A(position 2to position 1),
pressing the control stops the roof.
Complete closing of the roof between 1
and 0can only be done in manual mode.
Press and hold the control until the roof
is heard to lock.
If the roof does not lock correctly, it
opens again by a few centimetres. With
the engine running, operate the control
again.
If the problem persists, contact a
CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
)Release the control: closing of the roof
continues up to position 2.
)Between positions 2and 1, pressing the
control beyond the point of resistance
allows automatic closing of the roof to
position 1.
)Between positions 1and 0, press and hold
the control until the roof closes fully.
During an operation in zone B, an
instruction to stop the roof is not
possible.
Pressing the control reverses the
direction of movement of the roof,
whichever direction the control is
pressed.
This "anti-panic" function allows a quick
change in direction of movement of the
roof in the event if suddenly required.

Aero-acoustic deflector Operating the roof when
driving
If a roof operation is started before the vehicle's
speed is above about 70 mph (120 km/h),
exceeding this speed limitation leads to the
following situations, depending on the type of
roof operation in progress:
- an operation in progress in zone Ais
stopped,
The roof opening and closing control
operates up to about 70 mph (120 km/h).
Above this speed, a message in the
screen informs you that operation of the
roof is not possible (speed too high).
An aero-acoustic deflector is available to
improve the acoustic comfort of occupants of
the vehicle in certain driving conditions (high
speed), by reducing the turbulence in the
passenger compartment resulting from the
displacement of air.
On opening the roof, the aero-acoustic
deflector may be deployed if it is not secured.
On closing the roof, the deflector folds away
automatically.
)With the roof open, this deflector can be
folded away manually and secured at its
centre : press vertically down on the cross
member near the paddle at the top of the
deflector and clip this paddle in the cut-out.
)To release and deploy the deflector
manually, press vertically down on the
cross member near the paddle to unclip it
from the cut-out and pull it gently towards
you.

Precautions for use
Do not place objects on the roof, whether open or closed.
In the event of prolonged storage of the vehicle outside, it is recommended that the roof be
protected with a cover.
To avoid damaging the roof, do not open it under snowy or frosty conditions.
Do not use sharp tools to remove ice or accumulations of snow on the roof.
Do not use scrapers or aerosol products to remove ice that may have formed on the rear
screen.
Avoid operating the heated rear screen when the roof is completely open (risk of
overheating).
To limit the creation of folds in the roof fabric, it is recommended that the roof not be left
open for long periods.
The vehicle's air conditioning system should not be operated while the roof is open.
It is strictly prohibited to sit on or place objects on the transverse roof support when the roof
is open.
It is recommended that the roof be closed when the vehicle is left parked.
Even if the roof is closed, it is prudent not to leave any valuable objects inside the vehicle.
When you leave the vehicle, remove the ignition key to avoid any unwanted operation of the
roof.
If your vehicle has a voice command system, this may not work as well when driving with
the roof open.
Protection of the roof opening and closing electric motors: during repeated opening and
closing of the roof, the electric motors may become too hot and then no longer allow the
roof to be opened or closed. Allow the motors to cool down by not operating the roof for
ten minutes.
- an opening operation in progress in zone B
is continued through to completion,
- a closing operation in progress in zone Bis
stopped and complete opening of the roof
to position 3is carried out automatically,
- an opening or closing operation in zone B
following an "anti-panic" function is
continued through to completion.
A new operation of the roof will be
possible as soon as the vehicle's speed
drops below about 70 mph (120 km/h).

If the roof stops in zone B, a message in the
screen will ask you to stop the operation of the
roof immediately.
)Press and hold the control:
- in the opening direction to reach
position 3,
- in the closing direction to reach
position 2.
Reinitialisation
Do not release the control during the
reinitialisation procedure.
Downgraded operation Operating fault
In the event of an electrical fault,
contact a CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.
If the automatic roof operation mode is lost, the
system must be reinitialised.
)With the engine running, press and hold
the control for closing the roof.
)After about 5 seconds, the roof closes
completely to position 0, then reverses by a
few millimetres.
The roof is the reinitialised.
You must not drive when the roof is
stopped in zone B.

Boot
Opening
)After unlocking the vehicle using the
remote control or the key, press the
opening control and raise the boot lid.
Closing
)Lower the boot lid by pressing on the
middle of its finisher.
If the boot is not closed correctly:
-
when the engine is running, this
warning lamp comes on, accompanied
by a message on the multifunction
screen for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving (speed above
6 mph (10 km/h)), this warning lamp comes
on, accompanied by an audible signal and
a message in the multifunction screen for a
few seconds.
It is strongly recommended not to lower
the boot lid by pressing on either end.
If the boot is not fully closed, opening
the roof in zone Bis not possible.
Check that the boot is fully closed.

If the roof is carrying out an opening operation in zone B, an action on the boot opening
control causes the roof to close. The boot will be released when the roof reaches
position 2. You can then raise the boot lid.
Conditions for opening the boot with the roof in zone B
To avoid interference between the boot and the roof in zone B, opening the boot depends
on the position of the roof.
If the roof is carrying out a closing operation in zone B, an action on the boot opening
control has no effect on the roof operation, but the boot will only be released once the roof
has reached position 2. You can then raise the boot lid.
During an opening or closing operation of the roof in zone Bfollowing an "anti-panic"
function, the boot opening control is inhibited. It will work again once the roof has reached
position 2or position 3.
If the roof is position 3, an action on the boot opening control causes the closing of the
roof to position 2. When the roof has reached this position, the boot lid will be released.
You can then raise the boot lid.

each lateral latch to unlock the boot.
)Fold back the rear seat to gain access to
the two latches, from inside the boot.
Before opening the boot, ensure that
the roof is not in zone B.

Fittings
The rear shelf is fixed.
Rear shelf
Before opening the roof completely,
check that no object has been left on
the shelf.
When the roof is fully open, the rear
screen rests on the shelf. Do not place
any object on the screen.

Changing a bulb
1. 3D LED sidelamps (LEDs).
2. LED brake lamps / sidelamps (LEDs).

Access to the bulbs
)Open the boot.
)Remove the access flap from the
corresponding side trim panel.
)Unscrew the butterfly nut securing the
lamp unit.
)Unclip the lamp unit connector.
)Extract the lamp unit carefully pulling it in
line towards the outside.
Changing direction indicator (4)
and foglamp or reversing
lamp (5) bulbs
)Turn the bulb a quarter turn and change it.
Changing LED sidelamps and
brake lamps (LEDs)
For the replacement of this type of LED lamp,
contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop.
3D rear lamps
To refit, carry out these operations in reverse
order.
Take care to engage the lamp unit in its guides,
while keeping it in line with the vehicle.
Amber or red bulbs, such as those
for the direction indicators and rear
foglamp, must be replaced by bulbs of
the same rating and colour.

Changing a fuse
)To unclip the upper boot trim, pull it down, starting on the left.
)Remove the trim by tipping it downwards.
)Change the fuses.
To reassemble, carry out these operations in reverse order, starting at the back of the boot.

If the roof is in zone Bwhen a fuse fails, it is then not possible to open the boot. To be able to open the boot and proceed with fuse replacement,
first close the roof manually from inside the boot (by folding the rear seats).
There are three fuses for the soft top roof.

The maxi-fuses provide additional protection
for the electrical systems. All work on the
maxi-fuses must be carried out by a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop.

Practical information
Recommendations on care of your vehicle
Remove bird droppings or tree resins
as their acidity may damage the roof.
The use of a high pressure jet wash is
strictly prohibited, to avoid damaging
the roof.
Never use chemical products,
detergents, stain removers, solvents,
alcohol, petrol, ... to clean the roof.
The general recommendations on the care of your vehicle are given in the maintenance and warranty guide.
Allow the vehicle to dry in a shaded
area and avoid direct exposure to the
sun.
We recommend that you wash your
vehicle in an automatic roller car wash.
To remove marks, sponge them (but
never rub them) using soapy water,
then immediately rinse with clean
water.
To waterproof the roof, use only special
waterproofing products for fabric roofs.
Soft top
Before washing the soft top, first
remove as much dirt as possible from
the surface using a soft brush or a
vacuum cleaner.
For the regular maintenance of the
soft top and to conserve its original
appearance, we recommend an
ecological "Fly remover - Soft top roof
cleaner" from the "TECHNATURE"
range. To obtain this product go to a
CITROËN dealer.
Aero-acoustic deflector
We recommend that you clean the
aero-acoustic defector with care using
a soft brush.
