Troubleshooting
“There is no sound from my mirror.”
- The volume on either device is muted or turned down.
- There is a problem with the Bluetooth
®
connection - try erasing the connection on the audio device and
then re-pairing.
- There may be interference from other nearby Bluetooth
®
enabled devices - try turning them off.
- The connected devices are too far apart and out of range - try moving the devices closer together.
“I cannot pair the mirror with my Bluetooth
®
device.”
- The bluetooth module may not powered on. Try turning the mirror OFF and ON again, wait and listen
for the beeping sound that indicates that the module is ON and when selected to pair with your device
wait and listen for a second beep.
- The Bluetooth
®
capability of your chosen device is turned off or out of range.
- There was a problem during pairing - some devices will pair automatically when selected some will
require a pass code or acceptance of the connection before they will finalise the pairing.
- Refer to your Bluetooth
®
device’s instruction manual to ensure it supports the A2DP (stereo
Bluetooth
®
) profile.
“The sound quality is poor.”
- Your Bluetooth
®
device may be close to being out of range and should be moved closer to the mirror.
- For those devices that support the use of Apps, there may be too many running in the background which
can affect the amount of internal resources available on the device to transmit audio. Closing any
non-essential applications may improve audio quality.
- Similarly, if the selected device has Wi-Fi capabilities, turning this off may improve audio quality.
- There could have been a problem during the initial pairing of devices. Erase the connection using your
Bluetooth
®
device and re-pair.
“My
mirror is not automatically reconnecting with my Bluetooth
®
device.”
- The mirror will automatically reconnect with paired devices when both devices Bluetooth
®
capabilities
are turned on. Depending on the manufacturer of the Bluetooth
®
device, the order in which the devices
are turned on to automatically connect may vary. In some cases it will be necessary to turn on Bluetooth
®
capabilities on the audio device before turning on the mirror.

installation. Place the mirror body to one side and drill the holes as
necessary for the wall plugs. Insert the wall plugs and screw the
mirror body in position having fed the power supply cable through
the rubber grommet in the mirror body. Make sure that all screws
are secure.
Note: Wall plugs provided are suitable for Stone or Brick walls.
For other wall types use appropriate wall plugs. If in doubt consult
an expert.
3) Ensure that the electrical supply is turned off at the mains.
Remove the cover from the connection box inside the mirror body
to allow the electrical connections to be made as follows:
Strip the mains PVC supply cable as necessary. Thread the power supply through the rubber grommet on
the switch box and make the necessary connections in accordance with the current IEE Regulations.
Firmly tighten all terminal connections. Make sure that the cable is clamped securely in the cord anchor
inside the connection box. Refasten the cover on the connection box making sure that it fits securely.
IMPORTANT: Loose connections can lead to over heating. Excessive temperatures may lead to scorching
of the plastic components, and in extreme cases may even melt. Charring of components is always a
consequence of faulty installation or maintenance, and any claims are excluded from the warranty.
4) Reconnect the heated demister pad.
Strip wires to a suitable
length. DO NOT connect

• To turn ON or OFF the LEDs, wave the hand across the IR sensor.
• The demister pad will be ON when the lights are. DO NOT leave on for prolonged periods of time.
• Pairing
Bluetooth
®
enabled devices:
Pairing occurs when two Bluetooth
®
wireless technology enabled devices communicate with each other
and establish a connection. This information is then stored in the memory of each device meaning that
once initially connected, the two devices will not need to pair again.
•
Connecting your Bluetooth
®
enabled device to your mirror:
1. It is recommended that the Bluetooth
®
connectivity of the device you want to pair with your mirror is
turned on first to make connection easier.
2. The Bluetooth module will be ON when the lights are by waving the hand across the IR sensor. The
mirror will beep to signal that the Bluetooth
®
has been turned ON.
3. On the selected Bluetooth
®
enabled device select the mirror from the Bluetooth
®
device list to connect.
4. The mirror will beep twice to signal that a connection has been made between the two Bluetooth
®
enabled devices. Once connected, any music played on the paired device will play through the mirror.
The Bluetooth
®
connection will automatically cease when the two paired devices are out of range.
Cleaning
It is recommended that the unit is cleaned with a soft, dry, non abrasive cloth when turned off. Never use
cleaning agents or abrasive materials on any type of surface finish. Do not allow moisture to come into
contact with the electrical components.
