Clarke CAT150 Instructions for use

FILLING WITH OIL Fill the in-line oiler with oil using a suitable oil dispensing bottle via the
screw-in filler plug on the side of the polymer bowl. Make sure the airline is not pressurized
when filling with oil. Always use with Clarke airline oil. (Part No 3050825).
CARE AND MAINTENANCE A build-up of moisture in the air compressor will accelerate
wear and corrosion in airline tools. Ensure any moisture is drained from the compressor
routinely and that the inlet filter is kept clean. NEVER use solvents to clean the in-line oiler
bowl. There are no user serviceable parts on this product.

FITTING & MAINTENANCE
INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing this CLARKE In-Line Oiler. Before attempting to use this product,
please read this manual thoroughly and follow the instructions carefully. In doing so you will

your purchase giving you long and satisfactory service.
SPECIFICATION Max Pressure 90psi (6.2 bar)
Air inlet/Outlet Size ¼”BSP (female in/male out)
Dimensions 35 x 57 mm / Weight 90 g
This in-line oiler is built to operate in an environment which does not exceed +60oC and the
compressed air is not contaminated with solvents to such an extent as to cause damage to
polymer components.
GENERAL SAFETY RULES Do not exceed the maximum pressure for the airline of 90 psi
/ 6.2 bar.
Keep the work area clean and tidy.
Check air hoses for leaks or damage before use and ensure that all connections are
secure.
Always keep the in-line oiler clean for the best and safest performance
AIRLINE EQUIPMENT CONNECTION
WARNING: Compressed air can be dangerous. Ensure that you are familiar with all
precautions relating to the use of compressors and compressed air equipment.
A typical airline layout is shown below. The use of an automatic in-line filter and regulator
will keep air tools in good condition. Only clean, dry, regulated compressed air should be
used.Air compressors must comply with the appropriate European Community Safety
Directives.
Never exceed the maximum operating pressure
for the airline components. Higher pressures and
dirty air will shorten the life of your air tools due
to faster wear. The air hose must be rated to at
least 150% of the maximum operating pressure
of the air tool.
Important: the installation sequence for airline
component assembly is: FILTER –LUBRICATOR.
CONNECTING THE IN-LINE OILER Fit the in-line oiler between the air tool and the
compressed air line.
The in-line oiler must be tightened to the airline tool at the air inlet port using a spanner
rather than hand-tightening using the polymer case. Ensure the compressor is turned off
when making connections.
Turn on the air supply and check for air leaks. Rectify any before starting work.
PTFE tape may be useful for sealing threaded connections.
