computer(twoUSBportsareusedto
provideabetterpowersupplytothehard
disk).
Note:Connection(D)isnotused.Only
theUSBcableisused.Useonlytheen-
closedUSBcablewithtwoUSBoutlets.
2. Thecomputerndstheharddiskauto-
matically,noextradriversareneeded.
3. Thenewunitisseenafterconnectionin
“This computer”under“Hard disks”.
Remember:theharddiskmustbeparti-
tionedandformattedbeforeuse,other-
wiseitisnotseenin“Thiscomputer”.
4. Lightdiode(A)ontheexternalenclosure
showsthestatus:
• Steady light:Theharddiskis
connectedandfunctioning.
• Blinking light:Readingorwritingto
harddiskisgoingon.
7. Removing the external enclosure
Ifyouwanttoremovetheexternalenclosurewithoutshuttingdownthecomputer,
clickontheiconintheactivityeldandselecttheunitthatistoberemoved.Then
click“OK”beforeyoupullouttheconnectingcord.
