How to inflate your float tube bladders
Floattubebladdersaredesignedtobeinflatedbyfootorhandpump.
To inflate:
Turnthevalvecaponthevalvestemcounter-clockwisetoopentheair
way.Afterinflationclosethevalvebyturning
thecapclockwise(Fig.1).
To Deflate:
DONOTREMOVECAP–Turnthevalvecapon
thevalvestemcounter-clockwisetoopenthe
airwayfromthebladder.
Inflating and assembling your float tube
1. Placeyourfloattubeflatonthefloorwith
thepocketsfacingup.Loosenthetwo
compressionstrapsontheoutside
edgeofbothpontoons.
2. Insertthetwofoaminserts(A)intothe
seatbottomcompartment(Fig.2).
(Itwillbeatightfit.)
3. Pulltheflapdownoverthefoaminserts
andsecurethethreerip-and-gripstrips
undertheseatcushion.
4. Accessyourvalvestem
toyourpontoonbladders
throughtheinsidezipper
pocket.Ifvalvestemsare
notaccessibleinsidethe
pocketseestep6-7.
5. Inflatethetwopontoon
bladdersabout30%—just
enoughtoholdtheirshape.
6. Checkthebladdersby
unzippingthepontoons
(Fig.3).Thebladdersshouldlie
flat,untwistedandcenteredinside
thepontoonShell.
7. Makesurethevalvestemthatattachestothe
bladderfitsintotheaccesspocketofthepontoon
cover(Fig.4).Zipclosedthepontoons.(Atwisted
bladderwilldistortthecoverwhenyoublow
itup.)
8. Inflatetheflotationbladdersuntilmostofthewrinklesareoutofthe
cover.Ifanytwistsdevelopstop,deflatethebladder,straightenit
withinitspocketandre-inflate.Closethevalvecapstightly.
9. Connectthethreespreaderbarpiecesbyinsertingthetwolongtubes
intotheshortercouplingtubewiththeangledendsonbothlongtube
endsfacingout.Nowplacethemeshstrippingaprononthefloorwith
thegraphicsfacingup.Slipthespreaderbarwiththeangledends
facingdownintothefabricsleeveatoneendoftheapron.Sliptheends
oftheapronsleeveintothefabricreceptaclesonthetopleftandright
pontoons.Securethequickreleasebuckles.
10. Pulltightthetwocinch-tightbucklesontheoutsideedgeof
eachpontoon.
11. Therearetwobackrestsupportstrapssewntotheseatbackrestwitha
sidereleasebuckleoneitherend.Besurethesebucklesareclippedto
theircorrespondingpartsontheinsidepontoon.Adjustthelengthof
thestrapforacomfortableseatbackangle.
12. Pulltightthesingleseatbackstrap,tokeeptheseatopenwhileinuse.
Loosenthestraptofoldtheseatclosed.
Lifting the tube in and out of the water
Therearetwowebhandlesnexttothepontoonpocketsthatcanliftthe
tubeinandoutofthewatereasily.
Launching and using your float tube
1. Startwithagentleslope(likeaboatramp).
2. Attachfinstoyourfeet,thenplaceyourfloattubeinknee-highwater.
Stepintoyourtubefromtheopensideandturnsothatyourbackis
facingthebackrest.
3. Nowjustsitdowninyourfloattube,fastenthestrippingapronandbegin
tofloat.Practicekickingwithyourfinstogobackwardortoturn.
Carrying your float tube
Includedwithyourfloattubeisapairofbackpackingshoulderstraps.
AttachashoulderstraptooneD-ringlocatedundertheseatofyour
pontoonboatRepeatwiththeotherstrapontheoppositeD-ringlocated
undertheseat.
Care and storage of your float tube
Alwayspartiallydeflatethebladdersbeforestoringyourassembled
floattubeinavehicleorhotarea.Theairinthebladderscanexpand
significantly.
Ifyouarenotgoingtouseyourfloattubeforanextendedperioddeflate
itandstoreit.Toavoidmildew,besurethatyourfloattubeisdrybeforeyou
packitandthatyoustoreitinadryplace.
